Just been so busy with life lawyers and kids and my husband's work are hell to schedule any free time.
I was on facebook and I saw the cutest little Tiara selling at Southern Tots. I thought to myself the price was outrageous. I could pay $16 or make it myself so I went to raverly.com and found the exact pattern for free!! I'm in the process of making it now. Kaylee's birthday isn't until March, but I'd like to have her wear it for her actual birthday. I started it tonight. This is the last night I stay up all night waiting for my husband to come home from work. He schedule changes Monday so that's really exciting. smile I usually have to do a rough draft of the patterns. I have to do it first and it comes out really sloppy then the second time it comes out a lot better. I'm so sleepy I put my needle and yarn down for the night. Its hard to believe I crocheted for a hour.
I just learned how to cross double crochet. It's so interesting, but my hands are like having a fight holding up the yarn. It keeps letting go for some reason. Stupid hand stop doing that!!!

Ooo... I bet she will love it. My Kaylee's birthday is in February. I know how life can really put a halt to crocheting. Sorry about hubby's work. What does he do?

I'm actually crocheting right now. I made a poinsettia pin for my hubby's grandmother to wear at our Christmas party. It was like a corsage only this one won't go bad. Anyway, I had picked out 2 patterns to do one and I'm finishing the one I didn't pick. lol. I'm glad I didn't because it's bigger and heavier than I expected. cat_rolleyes I hope I can make several for our tree next year.

No kidding, I'm usually just grateful if the first draft looks decent enough, so I'm not embarrassed. The second time through usually goes a lot faster, too.

... If I laugh, know that I'm NOT laughing AT you. It's more... like that kind of laughter that can't be explained, or stopped, really... I used to get blisters, I'd be at it for such long stretches. My fingers have weird callouses on them now, of course, but... I mean, an hour in, I'm barely getting started... xD

That's totally me everytime I try to work with thread, actually. Mother keeps bringing up all these lace doilies and tablecloths and things my great-grandmother and her sisters made, and how much money I could make doing things like that, and all I can say is that I'm sure I could, if only I could feel the string to do it. xp
