If you want to become a member of one of them send KogaP a PM and you will have a meeting about which family and what you have in store for your character and any guild related plots that may have something to do with them. As well as signing some release forms in case someone dies, etc.

The Ryuuzaki BackgroundThe Ryuuzaki family is one of the higher-class Six Great Exorcist families, at one point they were known as Kingdoms or Dukedoms and some may still refer to them as such. The Ryuuzaki was formed by Yohmei Ryuuzaki following the Great Holy War four hundred years ago. The Ryuuzaki is one of three of the Six Great Exorcist families to be composed of individuals born in Japan and fall under Japanese decent. The Ryuuzaki was initially a part of Japan’s noble system at one point, however, a war eventually broke out within their family due to one of the family head’s being possessed by a demon a large amount of the family was possessed and those who weren’t were exiled from their home into a neighboring country , while in exile the next to take the head of the family Yohmei took a stand and declared war on the demons who took over his family. Taking a small number of men and women back to their home they observed the demons as they treated their home as if it was nothing but a giant breeding ground. A traveling buddhistic monk and brilliant shaman was informed about the issue and offered to the Ryuuzaki a method in which they could regain their honor and home back. The Ryuuzaki agree and for twenty years they trained their bodies beyond their physical needs and achieved a new level of strength. With this the Ryuuzaki developed a new class to Exorcism known as Fighters. A class of exorcist capable of using their physical strength to battle against demons; the Ryuuzaki showed no skill in taming demons or even remembering basic passages from holy scriptures. All they had going for them were their fists and feet, and with that marked the day of another great family of exorcist. Today the Ryuuzaki are small in numbers but they continue to add on to their knowledge in fighting styles and improve their own. Because of their low numbers the Ryuuzaki created a sect within the mafia, and is one of Japan’s deadliest gangs. The family has been lax in terms of honor and structure, but they manage to appear when called upon by the Vatican. The members of the Ryuuzaki family don’t all seem to be related by blood and their skills are trained to those within their group. Rival FamilyBeing the youngest of all the Great Exorcist Families, the Ryuuzaki really don’t share common ground with any of the other older noble groups. They tend to look at the others as fat and strict. The Ryuuzaki really do not get along with the Yggdmillennia who practically own the police force in Japan nor do they get along with the neither Edelfelt nor Barthomeloi due to their political careers within the country. Special AbilityZestoren (German for “Destroy”), is a technique that was developed after the 12th head of the family spent some time in Germany to exorcise a demon that continued to multiply whenever it was cut by blades or shot. The technique was created in order to defeat many enemies simultaneously. The user closes their hand and position it backwards, so they can focus their Qi into the palm and compress it, then throws a punch towards the target, releasing the energy in the form of various energy projectiles. When released the energy spreads out to form a various projectiles of bluish energy, flying at high speed; having the sound like a shotgun firing off multiple times as the energy hits the target. Zestoren, aims to destroy several enemies simultaneously with low-power. The projectiles hit the target with force equivalent to powerful punches, when they hit the target fist sized holes appear rather than burns or large destructive explosions. The amount of projectiles, and great speed, makes it difficult to dodge an attack, since it can spread throughout the field view of the user. When using Zestoren the user has to take into consideration the amount of Qi it takes to use this ability as well as the location of target. Zestoren cannot be released with both fists at once, only one at a time out of a single limb. It also cannot be fired behind or manipulated once fired. Zestoren has a 5 post cool down before it can be used again and the amount of Qi it takes use is based off the amount of projectiles and the charge time. When releasing 25 bolts of energy it takes 1 post to charge and 1,000 Qi to use, the next level is 200 bolts of energy but it takes 4 posts to charge and it takes 10,000 Qi to use, now the final level uses 2,000 bolts of energy and it takes 10 post to charge up the Qi and form it properly and it uses 50,000 Qi to perform it. Even though this ability is useful when used strategically it isn’t effective on faster opponents and it doesn’t kill the target externally but internally forcing the users Qi into their opponent’s body and breaking down their Qi like a deadly poison. The strikes are completely random where they hit the opponent, so smaller targets are harder to hit just as well. Regulations[ + ] Meister Primary Type must be Fighter

The Barthomeloi BackgroundThe Great Ancient House of Barthomeloi colloquially known as the Barthomeloi Family. They are a family of Exorcist that has history so old that is still uncertain where the name Barthomeloi was first written in the pages of history. They first appeared alongside the Yggdmillennia and the Edelfelt during the construction of the Vatican. The Barthomeloi became Lords within the community of Exorcist not just due to their embodiments of perfectionism and aristocracy, but because of their powerful natural ability to call forth and control demons. They have reigned at the near peak of the Vatican for centuries, and have sought perfection in each generation of their exorcist. It is said that the Barthomeloi children are raised inside their estate until they have perfect control over two familiars and only then are they allowed venturing out into the world. Unlike most Exorcists, they are very well connected politically and at times, have their hands in the affairs of “ordinary man” – holding secret times to the aristocracy of the Holy Roman Empire, German Confederation, and Austrian Empire. Their supernatural nature was and is still a secret none can crack within high society, known to normal humans as a wealthy family that made its’ fortune off banking and other lucrative investments; does not like to be bothered. Amongst Exorcist, they are known as the Elegant Saints, but that was during a different time.Rival FamilyIf anything the Barthomeloi is considered to be a rival among all the families according to their telling, but the Barthomeloi don’t see it that way. The only family on good standing with the Barthomeloi are the Yggdmillennia besides them the only true rival to their family is the Edelfelt, as they achieved the title of Greatest Aria, and the Barthomeloi were forced into focusing on what they believed at the time was a lesser craft which was subjugating demons into doing their bidding. The Edelfelt also are on the Barthomeloi’s hit-list due to their family seducing the fourth head of the family’s son into mating with one of their many daughters and then granting them a child that would have potential in taming on a level of the Barthomeloi, but this wasn’t until after the Edelfelt found out the Barthomeloi stole one of their greatest treasures and to this day it is the Barthomeloi’s specialty even if they share it with the Edelfelt. Special AbilityGandr it’s a technique that was developed by the Edelfelt but stolen by the Barthomeloi at some point in history. The Barthomeloi are said to specialize at it. By using their Qi as a lure and a jewel as a catalyst they are able to absorb and accumulate elements. This was originally a method created to capture spirits of nature or apparition demons. These special jewels become “stained” with power of the element that makes contact with them. Allowing each jewel the ability to absorb one of the four elements; a single jewel can only hold one element and once an element has been captured the jewel is only useful in capturing that element. Once Qi is embedded into a jewel, it will be tinted by the mystical properties of the first element that makes contact with the jewel and will be absorbed into the new catalyst almost like a barrier or a prison for elements. Once captured the user can then use that stored power whenever and in whatever way they find necessary. Although once the energy that was stored in the jewel can be used at the same power that it absorbed but at the expense of burning out the jewel to ashes. Once a jewel is used it turns to ash and it can’t be used again. In order to utilize this ability it takes 5,000 Qi in order to absorb an element and it takes 5,000 Qi to release that element. The user is only able to store 10 jewel on them at one time, and usually this is a last resort skill to use. Another thing to note is that the elements that the jewel can absorb are: Fire, Water, Wind, Earth, Lightning, and Ice. It can’t absorb the Blue Flames of Satan or the Green Flames of Destruction or the Golden Flames of Purification nor can it absorb decaying abilities caused by the Kin of the King of Rot. These things would instantly shatter the jewel and cause a backlash of energy to harm the user instead; removing 5,000 Qi from their body and leaving them scarred in some way. The Yggdmillennia BackgroundThe Yggdmillennia family or known by other Exorcist as Tree of a Thousand Realms, are an old-age, noble family that is like no other family, Rather than being continued by a single bloodline to continue purity, they widen their swordsmanship skills and incorporate many styles from different cultures rather than continuing a single style. This method gave them their name of a Tree of Thousand Realms. Throughout their long history which is still unknown how old they truly are, they are treated as royalty within the Vatican and even among those within the “normal” world; much higher than that of the Edelfelt or Barthomeloi who are just seen as Lords. Their lineage is mysterious and even for the standards that the Vatican holds. The Yggdmillennia is said to be a family of only males and that the females born into their family were given to the Edelfelt rather than being killed or thrown to the dogs. This brought for their relationship with the Edelfelt although due to the actions of the Edelfelt and how they treat their male young, the Edelfelt aren’t seen as complete allies of the Yggdmillennia. They are viewed as being cruel by some but by others who seen them in a brighter light view them as the embodiments of True Knights. As history went on, they became ostracized for their abilities and hunted down, as a result the Yggdmillennia, make it a reason to never draw their swords unless they are sure their opponents will be unable to speak of what they may see once the blade is sheathed. The Yggdmillennia are based in the mountains outside of True Cross City which make them very difficult to find and reach. Rumors have it if one ever needs a Yggdmillennia, they’ll find you before you can find them.Rival FamilyThe Yggdmillennia only finds one family to be their rival, and that’s Japan’s oldest family that originated in True Cross Town; the Kusanagi. The Yggdmillennia really don’t like the fact they kill demons for fun and even lend their help to the Mafia for assassinations of public officials and other humans, while their job as Exorcist is to protect those they are slaying. This reason alone is why the Yggdmillennia see the Kusanagi as a threat.Special AbilityDemon Hunter sometimes called Witch Hunter, is a traditional Yggdmillennia skills that utilizes not only their Qi but Qi from the wildlife around them. It was created as a last resort method for a Yggdmillennia if they ever have to fight a demon or a human that has turned their back against humanity and use witchcraft. The Demon Hunter ability that is passed down through this family is used to send a single wave attack along the ground towards the enemy that erupts into the air the longer it travels along a solid surface, taking in all the Qi from all that comes in contact with it. It doesn’t just take the Qi but it destroys it severing the flow of Qi so it can never be gathered in a specific area or limb ever again without being healed through a method that has been lost for ages. This is known as the first exorcist method of dealing with demons but due to the side effect of using it, the Yggdmillennia stopped using it. It is shown that in appearance the weapon that the Yggmillennia member wields releases the absorbed Qi, releasing it causes it to emanate a twilight aura. The twilight swells around the weapon and releases as a flash of light, a surging wave with a simple purpose of destruction. It releases a wave of twilight in a semicircle, that is centered around the user. The Demon Hunter takes 10 post in order to gather the proper amount of energy and once it’s released it drains the user of ALL the Qi in their body, causing them to pass out due to exhaustion afterwards or die, depending on injures. The Edelfelt BackgroundThe Edelfelt is a Finnish lineage that is renowned as being one of if not the best Aria users in the world. They are a mercenary-like aristocratic family, they find great pleasure in battle as shown by the delighted expression that they make when fighting, which got them to be feared by others along with the title “the most elegant hyenas above the ground”. The Edelfelt is extremely prejudice against Japanese people and even more so towards the Yggdmillennia, who threw away their female children or gave them away as if they were nothing but extra weight, claiming that they could never handle the power of the Yggdmillennia. The Edelfelt pride themselves on the fact they are a family of strong, independent, feministic, females; just like the amazons. But unlike the Yggdmilennia who had the compassion to give their female children to the Edelfelt, the Edelfelt aren’t as nice. When a male is born into the Edelfelt family he is sentenced to death of exile at birth and with such sentence, the Edelfelt throw the new born into the woods where he must survive on his own. Aside from these little facts the Edelfelt work close with the Pope from time to time as a personal attendant and even Aria for specialized missions. The women of the Edelfelt are also known for one last thing, and that’s their feud with the Barthomeloi family over something that seemed to be out of Romeo and Juliet; minus a precious treasure being stolen and used against the Edelfelt.Rival FamilyThe Edelfelt are rivaled with the Barthomeloi, all due to an issue that happened in the past. The war between the two families is still going on, where the Barthomeloi will sometimes bomb parts of the Edelfelt estate and the Edelfelt will retaliate by setting their forest on fire. Sometimes their guards get in on the battle and gun fire or even clashing between blades go on in the street late at night.Special AbilityGandr it’s a technique that was developed by the Edelfelt but stolen by the Barthomeloi at some point in history. The Akai BackgroundThe Akai family started off as a normal working-class family as a family of doctors, at the time of the awakening they didn’t know about the world that was split with their own. Once the Akai family started to experience strange events at the hospital and the patients said the hospital was haunted it was closed down and the Akai went bankrupt they were unable to survive on their own. Taking time away from the country they began to travel the world looking for ways to stay up to date with modern medicine until one day they found themselves being used on a battle field with what looked like giant spiders. That was the day the Akai family as a whole expressed demons. From that moment on they gave their lives and souls to protecting those who protected others from the demons. Now, the Akai are rather famous and wealthy for a typical family of sergeants and pharmacists. They specialize in healing and have an extensive knowledge on demonic infections from knowledge the family acquired through the years. For years, the Akai have worked as Doctors in the world’s most famous armies and even private facilities. Aside from their skills in medicine, some of the members of the Akai are rather versed in other skills such as weaponry and fatal verses. The Akai find it to be a purpose to keep their line studying medicine because at some point everyone needs to see a doctor for help. Rival FamilyThe Akai do not have a rival family, nor do they bare grudges to any of the other families, they just want to help others. Special AbilityMakai Vitae, is what the Akai are renowned for possessing and is highly coveted. A specially created trait feared for the great visual prowess that it grants its wielder. By focusing on an individual Qi, a skilled member from the Akai family can actually ‘read’ a soul and make accurate judgments about the person’s characteristics, personality and the amount of Qi remaining in their body as well as the flow of Qi entering and exiting the body. One of the more important functions of Makai Vitae is detection, allowing a member of the Akai to differentiate between different types of Qi of a human and a demon, since there is little physical difference between the two. The Makai Vitae uses the Exorcist’s eyes to their maximum capability of sight of 50 meters while it can be amplified through a seeing les of sorts such as glasses; the range then maxes out at 800 meters. The visual effects of the trait cause the world itself to become blurred to direct sight of the user while reading the amount of Qi in the area. Changing their eyes sight to a green hue with a blue magical circle around their pupil; to the user the world is filled with blurred images of the target in this emerald world with magic circles around their bodies with runes written around it in the center of the runes and the magic circles is a number in white this number is the amount of Qi that target has within their body. When the user wants to read the strength of the Qi coming from something, their world is blurred with a blood red and when they are judging the characteristics of a target’s soul a deep purple becomes their vision. Although this ability is passed down through the Akai family it was manufactured in their lab and is frequently implanted into their eyes once a day though something that looks like eye drops. The Kusanagi Background The Kusanagi, was once a house of nobles as well as a house of assassins, although that hasn’t changed much over the years. They still are looked at as a house of assassins within the underground world and have ties with the Ryuuzaki family who often hire the Kusanagi to carry out some assignments they don’t want to have their people seen as being involved with. The Kusanagi are experts in the use of firearms, so much so they teach their children from the time they can walk everything there is to know about being a Dragoon. The Kusanagi are also known throughout the country as “The Reapers of Japan”. They got this name because of the method they choose to kill their targets as well as the fact the number of demons they’ve slain over the years only prove that they can’t be alive themselves. The Kusanagi family keeps to themselves for the most part, so not much is known about them. Rival FamilyThe Kusanagi has a dislike for everyone, and only deal with the Ryuuzaki because they are paying them. Special AbilityDeath Print: Bull’s Eye also known as Death Crest, is the Kusanagi family special ability, it is created by using their Qi and manifesting targets on to their body just by being within their range of 200 meters. After imprinting their energy on to their body where they want targets, the Kusanagi can shoot any projectile type weapon and they will never miss their target. The user doesn’t even have to aim because, anything will home in on the targets. The downside is that the effect range is 200 meters so if the target is out of their Qi range they won’t be able to hit the targets so simply. Another thing about the targets is even if the opponent runs as long as they are within the range of the Kusanagi’s Qi the projectile whether it be a bullet, dice, marbles, darts, knives, or even a truck the projectile will chase down the targets due to being effected by the magnetic Qi created from the Kusanagi.
