Plot

Taliana has uncovered a secret from the belongings of her mentor, Black Canary. An ancient island located in the Dragon's Triangle has eluded travelers for centuries, and all who have come close have never lived to tell the tale, according to the legend. Black Canary and Green Arrow had sneaking suspicions that the League of Assassins were using this island as a supply base that captured any survivors from ships that crashed onto the shores of Yamatai. These survivors were then killed from tests of survival that the LoA put them through, or inducted into the League located on Yamatai to harness the power of Himiko, a queen with shamanistic abilities. The LoA located on the island wish to find a host for Himiko's soul, but have yet to acquire one.

The legacy of Black Canary is not going to allow innocents to be hurt because of the LoA's lust for power and foolish belief in a myth.

Company: Lonesome
Thoughts: There is a thin line between myths and our truths...
Location: Port

[Taliana Lance][Sonokinesis][Legacy Initiative]

A warm breeze grazed Taliana blushed skin as she walked along the docks. She was currently dressed for the journey ahead of her; gray tank top, form fitting green cargo pants, and a pair of light brown combat boots. The siren was more than prepared for what she may find on the island. 'If I ever make it there...' When she stumbled upon the dusty map in Dinah's box of memorabilia, Taliana was skeptical. It was actually a map that had been drawn up during the early Kofun period. How it came into Dinah's possession is beyond Taliana's knowledge. Her knowledge over the mapped out location was from Dinah's markings and the arrow that was drawn to indicate Yamatai's potential location. Along with the map was Dinah's journal. It seemed she and Oliver Queen were trying to locate a LoA base that was fueling people's belief in a silly myth. The LoA were doing some corrupt things on the island, and Taliana was about to put an end to it. Her mentor would have wanted her to tie up the loose ends she left behind, as only Taliana could.

'Dài tā zài!' A captain shouted from the peer to his crew, directing them to bring the boat in closer. Taliana quickly ran over to the man, hoping he spoke some lick of english. Nowadays most cargo ship captains did for the sake of business.

"Sir! Can you help me?!" Taliana questioned the man, pulling out her map as she did. She pointed on the Map at the arrow. The captain reeled back, looking at her as if she had just said something awful. "What is with you people and the damn island!?" Taliana shouted. Her frustration was growing by the second.

'No ship is capable of sailing into the Dragon's Triangle...and come out still intact. Himiko's spirit violently controls the storms in that area to leave people stranded there.'

"It seems you haven't done your homework; All myths are based on some version of the truth, right?! Himiko was known to be capable of manipulating storms, but what if it was just because the area is prone to tropical storms? This could be a gold mine for you if I'm right." Taliana countered.

'Forget it, foolish girl! Trying to find that island is suicide. The Dragon's Triangle makes the Bermuda triangle look like Disney World.' The captain brushed Taliana aside as he began helping his crew unload.

Taliana pinched her brow in annoyance. What if the captain was right? What if the island simply did not exist? She was risking a lot but if her hunch about Dinah's findings were correct, then it would be a fatal blow to the LoA's operations.

'I can help you lass.' A scottish voice called to Taliana. 'If it's wet, the Endurance can sail through it. Just make me the promise that if we find that island, you leave any riches for me.' The scottish man spoke coyingly before extended his hand to Taliana. 'Captain Roth at your service.'

"Taliana. And you can keep the riches, cause that isn't what I'm looking for." Her words were sharp, and seemingly well received as Roth began to smile. He turned on his heels and headed toward his ship. Taliana followed suit, thankful for the godsend.

Taliana wasn't the only one looking to tie up a former hero's loose ends. While Jonathan was doing his research years ago into Queen Industries, he had came upon a similar map to the one Taliana had while searching through Oliver Queen's personal files. Now normally, he wouldn't of looked into another man's private folders, but he felt compelled to figure out more about his idol. In Queen's personal files, he had learned more about the secret dealings Oliver had done to make sure Queen Industries stayed a multimillion dollar corporation. It didn't change his opinion on his favorite hero, but he did come across that map. When Taliana called, years later, telling him about the map she found, he didn't say anything about finding his own map, but he asked if he could come along. She told him no, she wanted to solve this alone. Issue is.....he felt that he owed it to Oliver Queen to help her solve this mystery.

But he didn't come alone. Thanks to his connections with the other Legacy heroes, he had asked Damien Prince if he wanted to come along on a journey with him and Taliana. He told him where to meet them and at what time and from there, he packed up his things. His Bow, a complete inventory of his tried and true trick arrows and a few of his new creations in case things got serious.

Later, after catching a plane to China, he arrived at the Port that Taliana said she was via taxi.. He was dressed in a similar way to Taliana, though she could tell his stuff was more expensive. He wore a green tight fitting, sleeveless shirt, black cargo pants, and black boots. He wasn't the kind of rich kid that dressed for the wrong occasion, even though he wore a black leather jacket over the sleeveless shirt, and was wearing expensive sunglasses.

"Ah, I see you got us a boat, Taliana," he said, lowering his shades for a moment so she could see his sapphire blue eyes before he looked at the Captain, "Jonathan Price, sir. CEO of Price Industries. I'm with this fine lady here," he added, giving the Captain a nod in respect.

Dean ‘Aquaman’ Meriweather

Dean doesn’t usually involve himself in surface affairs but when Atlantean scouts are reported missing in the area, it is more than worth his time to investigate. From what he can gather, his Atlanteans were patrolling just off the coast of a southern Chinese port. They’ve yet to report back and it has been three days. The possibility of scouting further ahead without command is simply too sloppy and unlike Atlantean organization. The most likely thing to have occurred was human interaction gone wrong.

Already having searched the ocean and coming up empty, it seemed obvious either the islands or main land held more answers. Dean released a minor sigh as he shot himself out of the ocean and onto the port. Quite troublesome to be a one man search party, but being this close to humans he can’t risk sending in other Atlanteans. The relationships are still quite unstable. Plus, further information is most likely going to be obtained on the surface. To make it a smooth investigation, it would be a better idea for Dean to go as he is the Atlantean diplomat/King and a quite well known face among the other heroes.

”Where to start?” he questioned himself as he began strolling across the port in an attempt to find potential civilians to riddle. It’d be best to question sailors, crewman, or even military personnel as they’d be more versed and knowledgeable of the islands.

Immediately, Dean noticed the attention he was garnering. Civilians were pointing and whispering to one another as he walked by. ”God damn it. You people don’t have to make it so damn obvious you’re gossiping.” he hissed under his breath and clenched his trident even tighter. Still, he continued walking the port, asking questions regarding local rumours and stories whenever a seaman was near. Every now and then he’d peak up to see more civilians gather, even giving friendly waves to him. It wouldn’t be long before a crowd really drew. Some people were even taking pictures. Is this what every hero had to deal with on the surface?

”Note to self, probably not a good idea to cause a commotion while trying to be discrete.” he muttered while rolling his eyes. He needed information and soon. The longer Dean stays up here, the higher the chance of discovery by the kidnappers. And what he really doesn’t need is to tip them off.

With: Alone but not alone.
Where: Port of southern China.
Thoughts: No reliable leads, though the sailors were quite timid in revealing information.
Ooc: Had slight trouble concocting an introduction to the forum. I apologize for the sloppy background story of why Dean needed to be there.

Company: Atlantean and Jonathan
Thoughts: Let's just make this a party?
Location: Port

[Taliana Lance][Sonokinesis][Legacy Initiative]

Taliana turned her head as she heard Jonathan's voice. Her left brow raised with growing skepticism. "I thought I said I was going to do this alone? Or did you just feel the need to baby me, Jonathan?" Taliana questioned with a somewhat playful air about her words. The girl was happy to have him here but at the same time she hoped he knew what he was getting into. The LoA was nothing to play around with. Although Taliana knew that she could handle herself, she didn't want to see Jonathan getting hurt. Taliana tossed her bag to Jonathan before heading off towards the market area. "Jonathan get situated on the boat, I need to grab some things before we go. " Taliana spoke swiftly as she continued to her intended destination.

The markets here held some of the freshest catches of the day. Taliana felt it was only right that she bought some food for the trip. This would be her way of thanking Roth for his hospitality and keep all who were on board nourished. Knowing Jonathan, he had probably asked for some unneeded security guards to tag along. Taliana rolled her eyes at the thought. For their sake, she hoped he hadn't. The siren quickly located an elderly couple selling fish, salmon to be exact, from their makeshift wooden store. Taliana smiled at the couple as she purchased ten whole fish. The couple thanked her as if she had just done them a great service. Taliana was preparing to walk away when the woman grabbed her hand.

'Dragon's Triangle.....dangerous place.' The woman spoke with a grave tone in her voice.

Taliana nodded in agreement. The woman released her hand and Taliana headed back to the boat. The sense of foreboding was unnerving. She hoped that this would work out in the end, because the residents of this area were definitely not giving her any hope. The siren watched as kids played along the port, fisherman reeling in their catch, and large ships pulling in to the dock. The area was more beautiful than Taliana had given it credit for. The people here lived simplistic lives but they cherished what little they had. It was heartwarming to the city girl. Her ears perked up when a male began shouting off in the distance. His english was more fluent than that of the chinese people she had been speaking too. Her eyes cut over her shoulder to see a man who was more foreign to her than the chinese. "An atlantean?" Taliana gripped her bag of fish as she walked over to the sea king. She was curious as to what the man was doing here on land in broad daylight. Part of her was concerned he had similar motives as she. Which would mean this was more of a problem than she had originally thought.

"Hey!" She called to the atlantean as she walked over to him. Taliana grabbed his hand and pulled him away from the large crowd he was attracting. She stopped once the two of them were closer to Roth's ship. "May I ask why you're here, King of Atlantis?! You of all people should know it is not wise to show up without a disguise, even if your handsome." Taliana inquired. His presence was very reminiscent of Arthur's. He was toned, handsome, and could potentially be another legacy. He had definitely piqued her interest in him, but let's see how he would respond to her questioning.

There was nothing in the world that told him he would be taking a field trip to some remote part of the ocean that most tended to stay away, from, but the phone call of a friend was enough to change everything. He had intended to go back to Themyscira in order to hone his skills once more, but the tone of his voice, and the severity of the call itself was more than enough to convince him he had to go. He was told to pack clothing and some type of disguise, but he could not see a reason for anyone to want to hide who they were. Especially since he did not wear any stupid mask or covering on his face. If one could not proudly display who they were, then how could he know whether or not they were who they claimed to be? No matter, that was a discussion to have with Jonathan at a later date, for now, he needed only focus on getting to the location without problem. Superboy had flown with him up until they were exiting the United States before turning to return to Metropolis.

On his flight, he had gone past a stopped cruise ship with hundreds of voices shouting and pointing to the water below. Someone had fallen over, and their attempts to throw the life preservers had come up short due to the waves and the force of the winds that moved through the area. When the little girl fell beneath the surface of the water, a quick breath was taken before his body hit the water like a bullet. The sounds of the people screaming faded as he went further down towards the girl, who was smart in her actions. If she could not swim, she could indeed hold her breath till someone came for her, and given her facial expression, it didn't look like she could hold on much longer. Taking hold of her arm, he pulled the girl to his chest before kicking for the surface. Thankfully, he had managed to break the surface of the water before she ran out of air, and as she coughed desperately for air, he softly patted the back of her head before lifting out of the water and into the air. Her mother was quick to come to the railing of the ship, and after taking her daughter from him, she immediately gave him a towel for his body, though he would not need it. Various exchanges of thanks were given, along with pictures, and with a smile he left for the skies once more.

The rest of the trip had gone without problem, and the crowd that had been huddled near the King of Atlantis were now pointing at Wonder Boy as he began to descend from the sky. Landing directly besides Jonathan, he removed the towel from his formerly soaked hair before speaking. "I apologize for my lateness. One of my sisters had fallen overboard during her cruise and I made it my mission to save her before coming to meet you."

It seems Taliana was teasing him when she told him that he seemed to feel the need to baby her. Jonathan simply laughed in response. He hadn't babied her since the 9th grade, when she pretty much called him out on being overprotective. He stopped interfering in her matters ever since. He only felt concern for Taliana when she told him where she was going. As both of them are aware, the League of Assassins were not to be taken lightly. And Jonathan was more than capable of taking them on. His suitcase had all of the stuff he needs. He had to get an extra large one to hold his quiver, spare arrows for nearly every situation, and his bow.

When she tossed him her bag, he caught it and slung it beside him, watching her walk off towards the marketplace. He harzarded a guess she was going for some food supplies and he continued watching until she was out of his sight, "My have you grown Taliana," he said to himself. He remembered his classmates all fawning over her in high school, but he never really looked at her long enough to realize just how beautiful she was. Of course, those thoughts flew away quickly when he shook his head and he went onto the boat to put his bag and hers away.

When he stepped out, he looked over towards the docks and realized they were all looking up. When he did as well, he smiled. Seems Wonderboy accepted his call and was coming with them, but when Jonathan looked at his watch, he shook his head. He was late. When he landed and told him why he was late, Jonathan chuckled in response, "Well I can't blame you for doing what you felt obligated to do," he answered with a smile. It was the truth, he couldn't do such a thing because of the oaths Damian Prince took. In all truth, in his position, Jonathan would of done the same.

"Well be prepared to be asked why you are here. When I got here, Taliana seemed happy to see me, but she also asked if I was here to baby her. I know we've known each other since we were kids, but I can't be that bad of a surrogate older brother," he said, "But anyways, how's Themyscira been Damien? As much as I would love to visit the island, I'm afraid I would be, as the Ancient Greeks put it, 'Visiting the Ferryman,' if I step foot on Amazon sand."

Dean ‘Aquaman’ Meriweather

Dean quickly noticed the civilians no longer acknowledging him and he followed their attention. In the sky he noticed a man shooting through it. His costume indicated some relation to the Amazonian women that Wonder Woman held company. His sex, however, indicated otherwise. Interesting though to Dean as it would mean more heroes were possibly in the area. Was his missing Atlanteans not simply a coincidence? Perhaps a larger diabolical force was at hand.

It wouldn’t be long ‘til his thoughts were abruptly ended. Randomly he felt himself being led away. A young blonde had pulled him by the hand and away from the crowd. Dean didn’t feel threatened or anything, so he let it be. Perhaps the girl had relevant information. Perhaps she was another hero with good reason to be here like the Amazonian male. ”What are you doing?” he uttered out as she pulled him along. She didn’t reply though. In fact, she didn’t say anything until they were cleared from the crowd and back by the docks.

When she inquired him about his blunt appearance, Dean couldn’t help but smile. He admired that she expressed concern for him but there’s no real reason to. He then replied, ”A king doesn’t hide who he is. Atlantean and proud, Love.” Aside from pride, Dean doesn’t have much reason to protect his identity. No real close family or friends. Just the kingdom he serves that happens to be several thousands of feet below the surface. Quite out of range from any threat.

”Thanks for getting me out of there,” Dean said gratefully, “I have to ask though, who are you? Also, I apologize for being so direct but I’ve heard of some “disappearances” around this area, do you know anything about them?” It was quite obvious to Dean at this point that this girl had to be either a hero or have some close relation to one. Without even telling her his identity, she was able to immediately deduce that he is King of a fabled city. That information isn’t too well known among civilians outside of North America. On top of that, her confidence to simply approach him – knowing his strength as King – and impose questions… Not likely to happen unless she has some insured backing.

With:Amazonian male, anonymous blonde.
Where:Port.
Thoughts:Gotta be thankful for helpful people. Hope she has information to help me though.
Ooc:None.

Company: Atlantean and the Endurance crew
Thoughts: I'll scratch your back, if you scratch mine...
Location: Port

[Taliana Lance][Sonokinesis][Legacy Initiative]

Taliana rolled her eyes with a humorous smirk growing on her features. "I'm only concerned for your safety. This fisherman wouldn't mind catching themselves an Atlantean." Her words were playful, but somehow she knew that wasn't far from the truth. "Taliana Lance, legacy of the Black Canary." Taliana extended her hand for him to shake before nodding towards the Endurance. The sunlight blonde walked slowly towards the ship, hoping Dean would follow. It seems her hunch had been more than correct. He was here because not only were shipwrecked sailors being taken away by the LoA, so were the Atlanteans who happened to be in the waters below. That in mind, Taliana was curious as to why the Atlantean mythology never mentioned anything about Yamatai. You would think they more than anyone would know why storms were so frequent there, and if that Island was really once part of Feudal Japan. That meant that a greater force was at play, one enticed by the LoA's presence. Leave it to the villains to cause an otherworldly disaster that could kill even them. Sometimes she wondered if villains ever thought anything through. 'Chances are they just wing it...' The girl thought to herself as she turned to see if Dean was following. She cleared her throat before speaking once more. She wasn't sure how she was going to break the news to the King.

"I believe the League of Assassins are attempting to control Himiko's power from the mythical island of Yamatai. I'm currently unaware why they are taking people hostage, or willingly, you never know. That is why some friends and I are on our way to find out." Taliana spoke with sense of disbelief at what she was saying. She was never one to believe in myths. Maybe it was due to her catholic upbringing in the Orphanage? Nevertheless, ideas of mysticism and mythology were lost on her. Taliana stopped once they reached the loading dock of the ship. She turned on her heels to face the Atlantean, taking in the full presence of the man. Something about him made Taliana trust him, and that was a rarity in itself. He would be an asset to the group when and if they get to the island. None of them knew what was awaiting them. It was best to be prepared for the worse, so the more help the better. "How would you like to accompany us, my King?" Taliana coyed. There was nothing like calling a man a king to boost his ego.

The siren picked up the voice of a familiar male, an amazonian one at that, while standing near the ship. Taliana looked up to see the infamous Wonderboy. "I see Jonathan brought my kind of security! I didn't realize I was too much to handle for just one of you " Taliana spoke jokingly to the amazonian, somewhat giving him the same reaction as she had to Jonathan. The wind swept through her hair, causing it to billow about. Taliana reflexively pushed her bangs behind her ear as she awaited a response from Dean. "So?!" She inquired further.

Dean ‘Aquaman’ Meriweather

Dean met her hand with his own, holding hers firmly, “You don’t have to be concerned, Love. Dean Meriweather, but you can simply call me Dean. Legacy of Aquaman.” So his assumptions were right – she is one of the heroes on the surface. He bit down on his lower lip as she walked off. Dean examined the blonde, slightly questioning her motives. It seems like more and more heroes are in this area as the day passes. Dean felt uneasy about this fact. Certainly there must be a force drawing them all here.

He followed up, tailing her closely to take in the information. League of Assassins huh? Abducting the hostages could be for multiple reasons. Possibly for experimental purposes. If that was the case, he’d have to hurry for the Atlanteans. The rumours of Yamatai’s island and the tropical storms have yet to reach down to Atlantis. Perhaps this is why his Atlanteans ventured near it. Dean paused his thoughts as Taliana swiftly pivoted to face him. He looked down and examined the blonde again before smiling at her playful tone. ”Cute,” Dean stated, but before he could answer, her attention turned to two people that were aboard the ship she led him.

Dean followed her gaze, eyeing the Amazonian and the other male. He really didn’t want to work in a team environment but without geographical knowledge, Dean has no choice. Even if he wanted to explore alone, time is of the essence and he won’t have the blood of innocents on his hands. The thought of it pulled him into a grimace. ”You’ll have my service, Love,” Dean smiled gently at her, shaking off his concerns. Though he’s quite distrusting of surface people, she’s making it easy for him. ”Quite a charismatic girl,” he thought.

”Let’s not waste time then, yeah?” he requested. Dean pulled her into him and held her tightly around the waist. With little effort, Dean launched himself and Taliana skyward in a jump, using just enough strength to land on the boat beside her comrades.

His eyes shifted from her to the Amazonian, then to the other male. “Dean Meriweather,” he said with a nod of confidence.

With: Taliana, Amazonian, another male.
Where: A ship docked on the port.
Thoughts: I wish I could just swim ahead…

Hearing that the male was not angry with his tardiness took something off of his back, for while it was nice to have him happy, he would not tolerate being scolded for doing what was right. Should such a thing have happened, he may have sunk the ship they were standing on in a fit of rage. "I will simply tell her the truth. You requested my assistance, and I came." Nothing more than that. Then of course, with his Lasso of Truth always on his lap, he could not help but tell the truth when it was always in contact with him. "Themyscira is doing well. Although slowly, I am starting to convince my sisters that Man's World may not be as bad as they seem. My mother, however will not be swayed, because as you know, my predecessor was taken by what my mother believes to be the fault of Man's World. While I am slowly telling them stories of your world, they do grow more interested, but none will leave the island. That being said, if you were to step foot on the island, it would not be a visit to the Ferryman. My sisters would throw you directly into the Gates of Tartarus." While he did not wish to scare Jonathan, he did not wish to give any false ideas that said it was safe for males to step foot on his home land. Since the disappearance of Diana, his sisters were less than friendly.

Soon after, the voice of Taliana hit him with quite the statement, and while he was still not used to the way some of the women spoke in Man's World, he thought it best to smile. The male who had brought her aboard was obviously an Atlantean, and given the weapon in his hands, undoubtedly the King of Atlantis. "Damian Prince. Its an honor, your highness." While some may have seen it as too formal, he could not help the way he was raised, and being of royal status himself, it was only natural for him to speak as such. "Taliana, does our journey begin now?" questioned Wonder Boy as he looked out to the sea.

Well no chance of drinking Mojitos on Themyscira for him. Jonathan would like to think of himself as a more upstanding gentleman than what many Amazons consider the norm for the men in Man's World. For goodness sake, he's let a British woman stay at his house and has not once done anything to her that could be considered abusive in any way. However, traditions are hard to change. He has read all about that in his history classes. So he can't blame the Amazons for being a bit backwards.

When Taliana cooed about the fact Jonathan brought Wonder Boy along, Jonathan merely smiled in response, "Not at all Taliana, as they say though, "the more the merrier". Am I right?" Jonathan answered, turning his gaze directly at Dean. The garb told him he was Atlantean. That much was blatantly obvious. And the trident? Jonathan thought it looked familiar. When Dean introduced himself though, Jonathan answered back, "Pleasure to meet you sir. Jonathan Price, at your service," he answered before stepping forward and offering his hand to shake. He did this to both Superboy and Wonderboy, figured to give the King of Atlantis the same courtesy.

He was anxious to leave as well, but to the others, he seemed calm and collected, if a bit happy. Damien probably would understand why he's acting this way as he has seen Jonathan in action. Taliana though might be wondering: how can Jonathan be so calm even though they are heading to a known League of Assassins hideout?

Company: Atlantean and the Endurance crew
Thoughts: Let's set Sail!
Location: Port to Yamatai

[Taliana Lance][Sonokinesis][Legacy Initiative]

"Hilarious, Jonathan." Taliana rebutted. She wasn't sure what it was today, but Jonathan was rubbing her the wrong way. His confidence was unwavering which she liked to see in people but in Jonathan it was just....different. Maybe the male had finally grown a pair of man jewels?! Good for him, just as long as he made sure not to step on Taliana's toes during the expedition. 'I hope this goes smoothly, since I'd hate to jump down anyone's throat before we even make it to the island.' The blonde thought to herself as the Atlantean began speaking.

All the blood in Taliana's body seemed to rush to her face when Dean grabbed her by the waist, and lifted them into the air. At first she thought it was because she was blushing. After all, Dean was a handsome catch. He had the confidence, and physique to boot. So he definitely had no problem making the ladies a little red in the face, or drop their panties. Whichever came first. In this case, it was because of her sudden elevation in height. The siren wasn't necessarily afraid of heights, but she preferred her feet being on the ground. Taliana breathed a sigh of relief as she felt her combat boots touch the metallic deck of the Endurance. "Let's go then, shall we gentleman?!" Taliana commented to the group, not realizing that she was still clinging to Dean."Normally a guy has to buy me dinner first before getting that close." The songbird let her body leave from his warm embrace as she headed inside the ship.

The siren immediately made her way to the Bridge, or command center of the ship. Roth was already inside beginning to pull the ship away from the Dock. She was about to tell him to they were ready to go, but he seemed to already know that. "How did you know we were even all on the ship?!" Taliana inquired with the shock and speculation evident in her words.

'Your crew talks quite loudly for so few. It wasn't hard to tell you all were finally coming inside. Take a breather, we should be entering the Triangle in a couple of hours.' Roth commented before turning his attention back to steering the ship.

"Thank you, Roth." Taliana placed a hand on the captain's shoulder before heading out to the rooms that had been assigned the group. "Pick your room boys, and get some sleep. Captain says it won't take long from here to reach the mysterious Dragon's Triangle of Japan." Taliana saluted playfully to the boys before heading into her chosen room. The songstress immediately flipped on her IPod and began humming some light tunes that she would be singing at the bar when she returned. 'If we return, that is.' She brushed the thought off as she was lulled to sleep by the ship's calm rocking motion.

---------------------------------------The Arrival of the Storm---------------------------------------

Taliana had awoken a couple hours later after their departure to do some Map studying. The Map that Dinah had in her possession mapped out Yamatai's unknown location. Most historian's had Yamatai mapped closer to Okinawa and the southern islands of Japan. It seemed Dinah and Oliver Queen had thought otherwise. It made sense, because of the myths that surrounded Queen Himiko and the legends that surrounded the Dragon's triangle. Himiko was known for the shamanistic ability to manipulate storms, and used this to command the island. With her Storm Guard, she rode into battle and laid waste to all who opposed her. All myths were based on some version of the truth; if the Dragon's Triangle was known for it's violent storms and Himiko was known for manipulating storms. Her powers could have been solely coincidental because of frequent storms that dominated her nation. That is what led the Canary and the Arrow to believe that it's real location was in the Dragon's Triangle. At least, Taliana was assuming that was the case. That, and the fact that they had a lead on one of the LoA's secret operations.

The trip was going quite smoothly so far, which made Taliana believe that the Triangle wasn't as bad as the natives claimed it to be. Reality was about to hit her. Hard. A crack of lightning could be heard in the distance, and the water immediately turned to threatening black. Taliana looked out her window in awe as the sky seemed to dance around the boat. "What the hell?" She breathed the words with growing anxiety. Taliana let out a scream as she was flung from her bed and struck the door to her room. The Ship was viciously rocking at this point. Taliana held her head as she flung open her door and began banging on the boys doors. "Wake up!!!" She called to them. There was no time to wait for a response as she was tossed yet again. Taliana was flung into the arms of Roth, who had come down to get them. "What is happening?! Why aren't you steering the ship!!!" She asked frantically.

'The wheel is jammed. This is no ordinary storm; lightning bolts have been striking the rig, and the waves are almost pushing us in a westward direction, and....' Roth paused with his mouth slightly agape. The boat was beginning to flood. 'C'mon girl, I need help adjusting this wheel!'

Taliana began moving with Roth just as a thunder bolt struck the ship once again. A mechanical pull could be heard, sending a shudder down Taliana's spine. Fear struck her heart when she realized where it was coming from. The ship had literally split in half. The other half of the ship held their armory, and supplies, including Taliana's pistol and knives. "Of course the storm would get rid of our defensive weapons." Taliana ran to the Bridge and tried helping Roth pull the jammed wheel. "It won't budge! Dammit!" Taliana yelled. It didn't even matter as the half of the ship the group was on began rubbing a hard surface below. "We're touching land..." Her and Roth both stared at each other with shock. The same thought had to be running through their minds; they were on Yamatai. Soon the ship was rubbing hard against a sandy surface until it came to an abrupt stop. Taliana's heart was racing as she looked out the wide window of the Bridge. A tall, bright red Torii gate greeted her gaze with it's aged appearance that seemed to predate the Kofun era. "No way..." The disbelief at what she was seeing was evident in her tone. They were about to uncover the LoA's secret as well as a legendary myth.

Codename: The Green Arrow
Status: Healthy
Thoughts: Before the storm: Taliana seems a bit odd
After the Storm: Oh just ******** perfect
OOC:

Well he was ready to leave, so he went down to where he believed they were going to be resting at. Sure enough, when Taliana mentioned that they needed to rest, Jonathan didn't take it lightly. He picked out a room and went inside, putting his suitcase beside the bed and getting in it. He needed to be well rested in order to tackle the dangers ahead. He did research on the League of Assassins, or as much information as he could find over the years, both from Olivers personal files on his dealings with them, and what he could find from articles and reports. They weren't the type of people to be messed with using kiddy gloves. When you fight them, you fight for your lives. Even the legendary Green Arrow and Black Canary, hell even Batman, had to be at their best to fight them.

Of course, he slept peacefully, until he heard a heavy knock on his door, followed by Taliana's voice yelling for them to wake up. Jonathan was immediately up when the boat rocked, and he almost landed with his face to the floor. On one knee, he reached for his suitcase and opened it up. Things were about to get hairy, he had to be prepared. He slung his quiver onto his back and gripped his bow and the map he had, and he was about to grab his spare arrows when the ship lurched again, and all of his spare arrows went out the window and were lost at sea.

Goddamnit!!!! he thought to himself. But it wasn't time to worry about lost equipment. Especially when the next bolt of lightning struck and a metal grind reached his ears. That didn't sound good. He needed to get to Taliana and quickly. He headed out of his room and went straight to the bridge, where he saw Taliana and Roth attempting to unjam the wheel. When he felt the boat rubbing on a hard surface, Jonathan thought the same thing Taliana and Roth stated: they have arrived. His eyes went straight to what awaited them outside and they widened in disbelief.

"Well I'll be damned, the legends are true," he stated. And then a small smile appeared on his face. So the island of Yamatai really does exist.

Dean ‘Aquaman’ Meriweather

Dean gave another nod to Jonathan, reaching out to meet his hand with a shake and a smile. His attention then turned to Damian. Dean’s eye quickly shifted to the lasso sported around his waist, quickly catching on to the lad’s prestige, ”I believe the honor is mine.” It seems Taliana keeps a powerful company after all. Dean smiled to himself, reassured that they’ll prove to be dependable allies. He couldn’t help but laugh slightly at her comment about normality considering her surrounding by heroes.

Dean considered tailing Taliana down but he preferred being above. The seas were calming to him, and the breeze was simply refreshing. The skies were clear and any forewarning of a storm seems quite unlikely. Dragon’s Triangle, huh? Dean leaned forward, resting his arms on the rails of the ship as he looked overboard. Unlike sailors, Dean has no fear of drowning. And unlike this ship, he could be there in minutes. Ugh, oh how he wished he had the map to himself.

------------------------------------------------------------------

Immediately, Dean’s head shot up at the crack of lightning. He tried peering ahead but the storm was too thick, the heavy downfall battered at his eyes. ”s**t, the others!” he exclaimed. Dean bolted for the inside of the ship but was fought off by another strike of lightning. He grunted as he was sent backwards to the end of the ship. Dean stood himself up once more and grimaced in disbelief. The ship had been split in half and their supplies were being washed away. Though Dean didn’t depend on these supplies, the others – especially the crew, would’ve. Dean attempted to communicate with the sea-life to aid in bringing what supplies they could but he saw no prevail. The animals have overridden his telepathy through their natural fear of this island. He scanned the ocean with his keen eyes once more, trying to pick up any signs of the crew members that could’ve possibly fallen overboard. None in sight. Perhaps they all got lucky.

As he was about to yell for his comrades names, they have already found their way to the deck. Together, they’ve realized their location, Yamatai island, ”So we’re here… I’m coming brethren.”

Dean made his way over to the crew, trident in hand and body wet from the storm. He stood tall beside them, confidence radiating. He had nothing left to wait for, they brought him here and his people need him. ”We should move before we’re detected,” Dean remarked. As much as he would like to celebrate their survival, there’s a task at hand. They’ve been spared by the storm, but he’d rather not wait for the LoA to come upon them with all these sailors to defend.

With:Taliana, Jonathan, Damian, Endurance Crew.
Where:Yamatai’s shore.
Thoughts:…We should go.
Ooc: Sorry for such a late post. Been busy and sick.
