You start with 7 captchalogue cards, labelled CDEFGAB, or the 7 tones in the C major scale if C is not repeated. Items captchalogued immediately are placed in the tonic note of the C major scale, (namely, the first note, or C.), pushing all the other cards over one. If you ever overload on cards, the whole deck falls out and makes a large noise, which is inconvenient for sneaking around, but is a very good distraction and can startle enemies. The premise of the deck is that when the carrier of the deck hears the note that is played, the item is expelled. The card on the Strife Spectibus, if you use this modus, is required to be a musical instrument of some kind - this way you'll be able to always have an instrument at hand if you want an item out. The catch, however, is that the notes don't have to be from instruments - the pitch of two glasses clinking together during a celebration, for instance, could just create the frequency of sound we know as a D and expel the card. In this way, any time you go into a room with music playing, within ten seconds you would lose nearly every single card in your modus.
