I know it sounds stupid and yes I am over 20 years old.
My mom is leaving on a trip out of country for 3 weeks starting tomorrow.
During the day there is no problem and also evenings when I'm awake I manage. The only problem I have is going to bed, it's always like I hear things and like I'm not alone. Leading me to be so scared I can't fall asleep and I start sweating like a maniac. I really hope someone has some tips for me to make it easier because this is such a bother. sweatdrop

Have you always felt like this? maybe you should play some music or leave your tv on for some noise to keep you company??

Yes, I have always felt like this. Even when my mother is home I still feel some anxiety to sleep. Even when I know she's in the next room.
I might try to play some movies or series when I'm alone, I hope it helps.

Hmm, that's weird. I have been home alone once before but I was never scared even at night. I always had TV and laptop to keep me company. In college, I even enjoyed living alone in my dorm room after my roommate moved to another dorm. All I did was convince myself that ghosts and monsters don't exist, and focus my attention more on fun and things I want to do. 3nodding

Good luck o.o

Just tell yourself monsters and ghosts don't exist! And keep your mind busy enjoying something fun/addicting to make you forget fear.

I will! I have installed my tv so I can perfectly watch it while laying down in bed, hope it works anti-fear. 3nodding

Do you have a small night-light? That also helps.

I had my first night alone. (I have been 'alone' longer but someone stayed over for 2 nights) I didn't fall asleep untill really late(6:30am) but I did however put all the lights down when I went to bed. I still had a bit of anxiety but it wasn't that bad. I did feel very lonely though, so that was the downside. sweatdrop
