It goes like this. I'll write the begining to a fan fiction. Then someone will continue it as they want to, then another person, and another, and so on. I have no idea how well this is going to work or if it'll ever be ended, but I'd like it to extend at least passed the first page. Obviously keep to both the guild rules and TOS. I'm going to do a dragon rider's fan fic since it seems that's the most popular series.

Sari sat alone in the room she shared with other harper apprentices. Concentrating on practicing notes she'd learned that day, she was completely unaware of her sarroundings. On a subconsious level she heard someone calling her, but it didn't register until the door burst open.

Sari looked up startled as her room mate, Janil, came through the door, her two firelizerds trailing behind her. Hastily Janil put her pipes on her bed rushes. "Come on Sari! Master Sebell wants to see us!" Bubbled Janil as she grabbed her friends hand, hardly giving her time to put her instrument down before haling her out the door.

The two began to run down the steps towards when a loud bellowing began to echo throughout the Harper Hall. Realizing that the sound came from outdoors the two girls paused long enough to look out of a window to see a large brown beginning to land and was soon followed by two other dragons. They also noticed the MasterHarper standing out on the green to welcome the dragons.

Janil and Sari exchanged an excited and estonished glance before rushing back down the stairs to the Great Hall, where they were joined by another equally gasping pair of apprentices Makail and Torince. It seemed their appearance was also requested. Sari frowned at the sight of Makail; lately things between them seemed to be strained ever since the last Gather.

The two dragons behind the brown were of blue and green, respectively, both landing daintly on either side of the larger dragon. The green seemed very small compared to the big brown near her; and in truth she was indeed a tiny dragon. Her rider patted the dappled shoulder gently before swinging off; an effortless dismount that obviously took turns of experience.

"Zn'cor, At'rien, K'lar." The MasterHarper nodded to each in turn, smiling cheerily in welcome. "A Search, already? High Reaches has had a clutch not too long ago, correct?" He asked in an almost innocent tone. The clutches were supposed to be spreading out, now that Thread was no longer a menace.

"It was a surprise to us as well." At'rien replied, a grin resting on his lips as he nodded politely to his once superior. The greenrider had been a harper himself, and a very good indeed. "But, one must do his job, right?" With that, he elbowed bluerider K'lar for an approval.

Sari took a small look at Makail and Torince; there was no mistaking the gleam in their eyes. She seen it several times before she came to the Hall. It was the hope of Impressing. Sari let out a small sigh. Even she entertained hopes of becoming a rider, but at the same time couldn't fathom the idea of leaving the Hall or to stop playing and composing music.

K'lar flashed a polite smile when At'rien brought him into the sphere of conversation, but he was preoccupied. The unfocused look of rider-dragon conversation had come into his eyes, and it was obvious that he was saying something to his bondmate. How do they feel, Dag?

The great blue, Daganth, craned his head to peer into the faces of the apprentices that had gathered. His eyes whirled gently, betraying his interest. They are...curious Came the ambiguous reply. K'lar shrugged at At'rien with a lopsided grin. The dragon would know when he knew.

Zn'cor stepped forward, concerned, as his brown Enith shifted a little. "Don't be alarmed, he will not hurt you!" he called to the apprentices in case they were frightened by the blue's scrutiny.

Sari watched amusedly at the other boys. As soon as words left the rider's mouth they began to deny the possibility of being afraid of the dragons.

Janil was not as sucessful at hiding her mirth, as she began to giggle, which brought about some glares.

Sari smiled at one of the riders, "What we're trying to say, is that it isn't fear that stays us, dragonrider. More like we are in awe of the idea of riding a dragon, it's a privilege that some of us have never had the pleasure of experincing first hand."

One of the older riders clapped his hands. "Well said. Spoken like a true Harper. She's almost as glib as you MasterHarper."

Sebell responded with one of his engimatic smiles, "Yes, Sari does have the talent of knowing what to say. However, we do not have all day to just stand and talk, now do we?"

"you should come inside and have something to drink" Sebbel said to the three Dragon riders. As they walked tward the Hall Janil blerded out " W're really being serched?!?" Her two firelizerds clinging to her sholders their eys whirling in excitment. The blue, Brire, stocked her cheek crooning in a comforting way. Emmy, the green, wraped her tail tighter around Janils neck, betraying her nervisness.

Zn'cor replied pleasantly. "Well, let's not too ahead of ourselves shall we?" before giving the MasterHarper a discreet wink, which went unnoticed by most around except Sari.

"Same klah does sound awfully good," K'lar stated as he dismounted from his dragon.

"Good," Another voice commented, the men turned to see Menolly with Beauty standing by the Hall door. "Because Silvina and Abuna have just made some hot klah and meat rolls. If they're not gone before you leave, I'm sure they'll take it as a personal affront."

K'lar flashed a grin, "Now we can't do that now, can we?"
