There have been some pretty negative instances on the site from both users and Gaia. While it's not something that I'm particularly happy with, I can understand and appreciate some of the frustrations that come from all of this. Instead of going after each other's heads, or Gaia's head, how about we come up with ways to help users who are in need of some assistance with quests, site issues, etc. and to make their experience on Gaia better than what the site is giving them. Here is what I propose: Dernier*Cri contests [-->]Giving a user a D*C item to help them on a quest. [-->]Hosting a lottery, where the winner will receive an item of their choice from D*C. Purchase an item off a wishlist (I'm not saying to spend millions on an item, but to purchase something that can help them along the way). Offer to purchase that ONE item from the Cash Shop for another user. [-->]A 250gc letter, or a 499REI can help bring a lot of joy to a user, especially if they don't have the means to do it themselves. Offer constructive criticism to the OP. Not everything has to be yelling, or being condescending. Never assume. Just because something is very compelling, or the opposite, don't assume as such. Figure out all the information before posting, and making sure you are fully aware. Become a Mod yourself. If you want to help users, try to become a Mod and help their cases get solved in the most fair way.
I'm up for suggestions. Post your ideas.

I'm actually in the works of an idea to help the artists and non cash buyers right now.
I'm thinking of starting a gifting thread in the charity forum to do so. I do believe that those two groups are hit rather hard with recent events
Not to say that others aren't suffering from this too, of course sweatdrop

It would be best to gather funds first, or to talk with a few artists to do a charity auction, or something like that.

I think XrubiachicaX is one of those particular artists that wouldn't mind helping.

One that does profile coding, avatar art, custom signs, etc. I think once you get all of the artists willing to help, to set up the ground work to make it work to help them and the winners. If everything is all set and good, maybe ask Zero or Sisky to make a Blog post about it to drum up users. One step at a time, though.

One of your suggestions, I wanted to do it once upon a time.
Become a mod.
I was excited at the idea of helping out this site, still am actually. Because no matter how angry I could ever get, I love this site and will not leave.
I just don't know if I would want to be a mod right now. I've got the experience, just not the motivation.
