Personality: She tends to be very cynical and sarcastic, always ending with a deadpanned punchline, but is always well meaning in this blunt sense of humor. She can come across as distant and maybe even a little stuck up, but this is only her own socially-awkward behavior getting the best of her; in truth, she is just cautious and fearful of getting too close to others and getting hurt -or worse- hurting them in the process. Once one has managed to get her to open up, however, she is very friendly and loyal. To anyone who's managed to get on her bad side, however, she is cold and defensive, especially when her heritage is questioned. She has a protective streak to boot, and isn't the type to sit back and watch when there are those in need of her help, especially those she considers close friends.
History: She used to live with her mother and go to school as a normal teen, at least until her powers began acting up. She got fair grades and tended to not get into fights -though she wasn't the most social of her classmates-, but all that changed when her abilities began to manifest. Her mother had raised her in hopes that her father's genes -her father being a demon who'd courted her mother in human form- wouldn't pass onto Adriana. When she reached the age of fifteen, it was obvious that they had: as her powers grew inside her, she began having chronic headaches and fits of anger, and soon she grew sharp fangs, pointed ears, and a black, demonic tail. Obviously she couldn't be allowed to go to normal school anymore, and her mother pulled her out of her public high school to teach her at home. When asked about allowing Adriana to enroll at Xavier's school for the gifted, her mother refused, for fear of her daughter's safety. However, she wasn't about to take no for an answer, and left home with nothing but a note on her mother's nightstand to find her place at the school for gifted youngsters. There, she has lied about being a demon, and instead says she's an ordinary mutant. Little does she know that Xavier more than likely knows better, but is willing to keep her secret.

Powers and Personal Weaknesses
Powers: Her demonic blood grants her slightly enhanced strength, agility and endurance, as well as a slight healing factor (all of which are rather weak in comparison to those of a full demon), and she can bend shadows to her will and morph them into solid objects. (She can even form a pair of functional wings, though this drains her energy quickly and is an extremely difficult technique for her. She's only managed it a handful of times, and usually not in an actual fight.)
Weaknesses: Using her powers requires intense concentration, as well as weakness her quickly, mostly because she is still very inexperienced at using her powers; her half-mortal body often isn't strong enough contain and withstand the force of her powers; powers weaken in harsh daylight.
