Why couldn't they make it a cat? I suppose I could accept someone if they have it, though... But they are taking it off as soon as possible!

People say I tend to be rather... catlike. That is to say, I have quite a few feline mannerisms. For example, I tend to purr when I am happy or content... Maybe sometimes when I feel pleased with myself. Oh, and I hiss or snarl when I am upset or angry. If I get wet, I tend to look quite miserable, even though I know I can basically vaporize the water off of me... That is beside the point, though, since I am still wet! I like to act mysterious and perhaps a bit aloof, but if I particularly like you, I might... well, rub up against you, kinda like a cat. If you can think of anything a cat might do, I most likely do the same thing... I am a Cat Goddess, after all.
Outside of that... Well, I am very intelligent and clever, if you were to ask me. You would ask me, right?! I can also be very affectionate and playful... but only when I choose to be. I like attention, to a point... If you invade my personal space when I'm not in the mood, I am liable to get annoyed... or I'll move off and ignore you for the rest of the night. I can be rather unpredictable like that from time to time. I am also highly curious by nature... Sometimes a little too curious for my own good. I have gotten myself in a bit of a bind a time or two, I'm embarrassed to admit. Let us not speak of those incidents ever again...
Some might describe me as a bit spoiled, as well as very possessive and territorial over what I view as mine. Some might even say I am a bit manipulative... But really, can they blame me? I'm a Cat Goddess, for crying out loud! Who wouldn't be that way? No one, that's who. No one. And okay, perhaps I can be a bit vengeful and can hold a grudge for a very long time... But I was an avenging deity who was sent out to exact vengeance upon the enemies of Egypt, and/or the gods, and could only be appeased by a specific set of rituals... Or a copious amount of red wine would do in a pinch... Did I mention that I liked to have a good time?
You're so nosy. Fine, I will tell you that I have a loooong history. More than 5,000 years of it, in fact. I believe I shall simplify it quite a bit. Now, let me see... How to begin... Well, for starters, I am the daughter of the sun-god, Ra, and the mother goddess, Isis. I have many sisters, such as Mut, Tefnut, Hathor and Sakhmet, and I get along just fine with them... Occasionally, we might squabble like any siblings might, but that is family, isn't it? If you know your Egyptian history, you would also know that I was the one who took down the evil snake, Apophis, who was the greatest enemy of Ra. The other cat deities have tried to lay claim to it, but I know the truth! It was me!
Anyways... Like I mentioned before, I was an avenging deity, but I was also known to be the protector of the pharaoh, even though that title hasn't been used in many years... I failed from time to time, sometimes for reasons that were beyond my control, or because it was fate... And even I cannot screw with fate. I felt bad for each pharaoh lost, but... there is one loss that was more personal.
King Tutankhamen was supposed to have a great destiny, and I loved him... Probably far more than I should have. But that was all cut short... Far too short. It isn't a well-known fact (mostly because it took place so long ago), but there was a failed assassination attempt, and he got injured. His injury got infected, since medicine back then was still... kinda primitive. Now, I could have easily healed the injury and saved his life... Only I had been sent away to assist the army of Egypt somewhere in Asia at the time. I returned too late to save his life... And for the first time in my life, I knew heartbreak...
So, I exacted vengeance on those who plotted to assassinate him, and moved on with my life... Or at least as best as I could at the time. I did ask the god of the dead, Anubis, if I could see him one last time, but he wouldn't let me... Damn dog... I never did get along with him (we always seem to end up fighting like, well, cats and dogs), but still... I haven't spoken to him since, and I don't plan on doing so anytime soon. Anyways... I have been hesitant to get too close and fall in love ever since that day.
Fast forward to the present day, and I have been... a bit lonely, I admit. I don't have nearly as much followers as I once did. So, I thought I would find myself a companion of sorts... Someone to keep me amused as I continue this long existence of mine.
Quit bothering me, I'll say that I like:

A few last things so you don't ask any more questions, I can change into any type of cat, big or small, though I kind of prefer turning into an Egyptian Mau... It is so much easier to pass by unnoticed in that form, though I do kinda enjoy scaring people who have annoyed me by turning into one of the bigger cats... I can also change just part of my body, if and when I feel like it, such as producing claws, etc. On top of that, I possess some cat-like reflexes and can also move silently when I want to... Oh, and I am always able to land on my feet. I can also see or smell things normal humans cannot...or at least sense them. I am able to smell or... I guess sense a traitor or if someone is lying... It is a little hard to explain, but it is just something that I can do.
As far as other powers go... Well, I have the ability to heal anything practically anything short of death, although the more difficult stuff can leave me very lethargic and vulnerable for an uncertain amount of time, so I have to use this power sparingly. I also have the ability to manipulate fire, and can even produce it if and when I feel like it. There are some other minor miscellaneous abilities I have that come with being a goddess, but those are the big important ones... Wouldn't do to reveal all my secrets, after all.
Other than that... I am a very good singer and dancer, if I do say so, and I know how to play a few instruments... Mostly ancient ones, but I have dabbled in a few more modern ones. You probably shouldn't ask me to cook anything, though... I seem to have a talent to burning whatever I try to make, even if it is just boiling some water. I would most likely starve, if I really needed to eat... Which I don't. I do consider myself an excellent huntress, though; I can track practically anything. And I'm a fierce fighter... I wouldn't have been a good avenging deity if I wasn't, now, would I?
Yes, there is some side things, like I own a chain of hospitals around the world... Some of them cater to the rich and powerful, while others help those less fortunate. I also attend quite a few charity events, even if I do find them to be a bit boring from time to time... The food is always excellent, though, and I enjoy getting out and being admired from time to time. They also always serve the best red wine. And... my main temple was located in Bubastis, Egypt, also known as Per-Bast or Tell Basta... Which means "House of Bast", you know... Just in case you were curious about that... You were curious about it, right?
