Roleplay Etiquette
No Cybering
The explicit roleplay of sexual encounters is strictly forbidden. The posting of explicit and graphic content, in written or visual forms, is a violation or rules.
No Explicit Roleplay Encouragement
Users often post rules regarding inappropriate content within their own roleplays. Using ratings like "PG-13" is fine, but directing users to "take cybering to PMs", or using ratings such as "Rated R" which clearly indicate adult themes, is not permitted.
No Abusive Comments
This includes abusive comments to other users, flaming, trolling, harassment and stalking. You are not allowed to insult other users, go into their thread without permission and start trouble, or refuse to leave after the creator has asked you to.
No Hate Based Roleplays
Hate roleplays that are negatively directed towards someone, race, ethnicity or sexual orientation are not allowed on Gaia. These roleplays that are found will be removed and the owner warned.
No God Moding
God-moding is when you do something that affects another character without giving them leave to decide their own actions or opinions. An extreme form of god-moding would be emoting that you stab the other character, killing them instantly. It can take other, more subtle, forms though. Make a character that can always dodge the hit also a God-moding behaviour. Remember that no perfect creature that exist in this world nor on someone's imagination!
No Spamming other people's RP
Posts that are gibberish, off-topic, contain advertisements or begging, or have low or no content are considered spam. Please ensure that your posts are on topic and contain an appropriate amount of discussable content. Don't suddenly said something off-topic in someone's active RP.
Please Use Proper Grammar
We're not a grammar nazis (I also not good in grammar since I'm not familiar with English language) but please use as much proper gramar as you can. Try to use correct spelling and grammar as often as possible but a few mistakes are okay. Do not use all caps lock (EXAMPLE), Broken caps (LiKe tHis), excessive symbols (##$%%@^&), and do not use chat speak! (plz, u, r, dw, np).
Quoting
You are allowed to quote someone but be sure to delete all the words they say in RP forum. Quote will help you to let others know that you want their attention in but I don' like to read the exact same post again. Or simply just type it like the code below:
Change the dots with username you want to quote.
No "Copycat" roleplays
Just like art theft is not allowed, copying another person's work for a roleplay is also not permitted as it infringes copyright. If you want to use another person's writing for your roleplay, word for word or only slightly changed, you must get permission and credit them.
