Dou you believe in reincarnation? Can you remember it when you think back to before you were born or conceived what do you see?

I'm not sure if I believe in reincarnation, yet I somehow take stock in it as if it were true. That's basically the story of most of what I practice. 1) Practice things as reality, even if you don't believe in them. 2) Question reality as a skeptic, even if you believe in it. 3) Use your analysis to develop and change your practice, even if you are comfortable with it.
Anyways, I did a past life regression once where I shortly encountered three of my female past lives. One was in the late 19th / early 20th century (US), another was in the late 18th / early 19th century (unsure of location), and another was in the mid-17th century (Europe somewhere). I only saw them very shortly. I also have a suspicion of a male past life somewhere in there in the last 300 years.
Another inkling I have is of a Friesian (Northern Dutch) noblewoman probably roughly around the 9th century. This was super-enhanced when I was once searching online for the word Friesian. I came across the horse breed known as Friesian. The animals are just absolutely gorgeous, and I feel a connection to them as if I personally knew a horse like that before. I think this noblewoman had a Friesian horse that she was very close to.
The only other past life I know of is the most vivid. It manifested through a series of synchronicities over the course of a few weeks. I had been studying Sumeria a bit after finding out that some pagan friends of mine were big into Sumeria (which I am now somewhat interested in as well). Specifically I was fascinated by the city of Ur, because its possible my last name is partially a Semitic derivative of the name Ur. Ur means first by the way (even though Erud was known to be the first Sumerian city). Ur was one of the biggest Sumerian centers of finance and trade. I found a satellite picture of the temple (the ziggurat at least) of Ur, which is still standing, although is currently guarded by US troops in Iraq. It intrigued me.
Then a few weeks later, I went to see Memoirs of a Geisha. Where the person who recommended it to me thought I'd very much appreciate the wholistic artistic life viewpoint of the film, I was mostly traumatized by the betrayal the main character experienced at many points, most of all with the Baron (where she was very nearly raped). I didn't know why, but this really deeply affected me.
Skip ahead to a few weeks later, when I was in the third of three tarot classes. Each of the ten people in the class drew a card from a divination deck (Angelynx deck). As we were talking about the results, someone mentioned a past life. A few more cards later, someone said the word Sumerians. Pieces were fitting together and the spread of the ten cards in a circle began to tell me a story. Then an image arose.
A young girl (me) about age 8 running up the steps of the ziggurat in Ur, about 5000 years ago. It was night, but the moon was 3/4 full and strong. I snuck around and was peaking through the drapes in the temple and witnessed one woman about to do something to another woman (appearing either to be a sex magick ritual, a human sacrifice, or a blood ritual...not sure). But the woman doing the ritual (the High Priestess) saw me and called the guards on me. I wasn't punished, but shortly after the priestess managed to get me involved with sacred prostitution. This wasn't a bad thing really, but it was not my intent. Still, I admired the High Priestess and kind of idolized her.
However, sacred prostitution never occurred in that life. This is because it was cut short. The first and only man to take me in that lifetime raped me on the streets of Ur (not in the sacred temple where it was supposed to be), and afterwards he slashed me in the v****a, uterus, stomach, and throat, leaving me to bleed to death in the street. It was a horrific death.
After the divination deck reading that night, I talked with my tarot teacher (who is also the one interested in Sumerian lore). She also has had past lives in Sumeria, and in fact I found out that she was a priestess in Ur...THAT priestess. I talked with her a few weeks later about this and we resolved things. I have no bad feelings toward her and think that we've helped resolve things a little by talking about it now.
The day after the divination deck reading, I was in a daze. I was at work, but was half not there. This past life was like a ghost from the past nagging at me to find out what had happened (which is why I eventually called my friend, the High Priestess, to figure things out). But in the meantime I also found out that, in that previous lifetime, my father was a very powerful businessman who resented me (because he didn't want any daughters). I think it's possible he may have actually been involved with my death. I also remember my grandfather's funeral at about the age of 12, watching him burn on a pyre. He was a very benevolent and kind man unlike my father in that life.
So that's all I have of that previous life. I think it may take another few hundred years to figure out anything more about that mystery neutral But it's nice to know the High Priestess again. smile

Waterunleashed Dou you believe in reincarnation? Can you remember it when you think back to before you were born or conceived what do you see? I do, but I think it happeneds because we want to come back and not because we have to. I think within that form we are more intune to what path we will take and what people we will incounter.
