LWell, my trick to hide your boobs when they're a certain size (that's over a size b) is to step 1: wear a sports bra. Step 2: any wrap or binder. Note that if wear a binder still makes your boobs seem noticed, that a bit okay. Step 3: wear a loose shirt. Step 4: wear a loose jacket. It can be a zip up, but I prefer hoodie most of the time. Doing this will not only hide the fact you have boobs, but also make it seem you have bulkyer shoulders. And trust me, it definately worked for me plenty of times. Especially when I went to burger king. I passed so much to the point I was able to go to the males restroom with no questioning or problem. This trick can even work without wearing the binder depending on how loose your shirt is.

-Regardless of if you're FtM or MtF, voice work is important.
-Binding, and layering clothing works. Avoid "lesbian" trends if you can help it. Note that binding can be dangerous, so be careful. Do not use ace bandages. If you can afford it, get a binder from T-kingdom or underworks. Select your size carefully.
-Don't over compensate your masculinity to fit the stereotypical male. Just be you.
-Work out to build up some muscle bulk.
-HRT is always going to help with passing, but that goes without saying.

Fortunately for me... I was born with both an androgynous face and the ability to make my voice sound either male or female.
One big thing that works for me is correcting you mannerisms. The way you walk and your facial expressions are very very important imo. It's easy to go back to the way you were taught to walk and talk while growing up watching you mother.
(This is all personal experience and is not intended to offend or make assumptions about how you live or have lived your life. Simply just some advice)
Thank youJD~

Thank youJD~ Ah right! Mannerisms! I knew I was forgetting something! I've always had masculine mannerisms and a way of walking/talking, so that wasn't too difficult for me, but yes, definitely something a lot of people should keep in mind.

Hey, so, I don't know if I'm really qualified to give advice, since it's really only been about 18 hours since my self-realization... But I found a trick for MTF (or FTM, if you just want really good looking hair lol)! 3nodding
So, today before taking myself a half-hour nap, I ran about two finger-fulls of raw coconut oil through my hair (I'm kind of a hippy...), and let it sit in while I was napping.
When I got up, I washed it out and afterwards my hair was SUPER glossy and soft! My hair's still not that long yet, so for girls with longer hair you might want to use a little more.
Downside is, raw coconut oil is expensive. The jar I got was $12.50 for 14 oz. Upside is, your head will smell all tropical and delicious, like a coconut! And while naturally boosting gloss, softness, and strength, it's also supposed to, over time, stimulate hair growth. I've actually read that it can help treat male-pattern hair loss. I really hope it does, because I dread the possibility that I inherited my mom's good looks only to get my dad's comb-over along with it... emo
Anyway, hope this helps somebody other than me heart It's just one of the little things I can do to start appreciating the feminine qualities of my body as I slowly get comfortable with my inner girl.

It should probably also be noted that changing your mannerisms isn't changing who you are at your core either. Speech patterns are something people should take into consideration as well. Women and men have very different ways of speaking as well, but I suppose this could fall under either mannerisms or voice work.

This isn't changing who are you it's simply optimizing who you want to be Like teaching yourself how to hold a pitch right when singing. 3nodding

(not on hrt yet) I wouldn't kick myself over it. Even without trying to sound feminine at all (in fact, while trying deliberately to sound more masculine to hide my femininity) my voice just sounds a lot higher over the phone. There is a trick to making your voice sound more accurate over the phone, and it's placing the receiver directly onto your vocal chords, where your adam's apple is or would be (mine is huge, no mystery there crying ).That makes the phone pick up on your vocal patterns more closely.

(not on hrt yet) Practice. There are videos (I'll dig those up for you) on how to work on your resonance. Men and women have a very different resonance. Women to speak a little higher in the throat, where as men speak from a lower part of their throat. However, going on T (if you're not on it already) will help -a lot- with being gendered accurately over the phone. Just the other day my mother thought I was my brother on the phone. So the only advice I have is practice, practice, practice, and don't stop practicing when you do get on T.
