Personality: Artemis is a standoffish person who tends to find himself comfortable with isolation, though at the same time he doesn't mind company. He is rather pleasant to be around as opposed to other hollow based creatures and is actually quite friendly if not a bit awkward at times. During battle he takes on a serious, though somewhat remorseful attitude, as he is not a battle hungry creature. When his Sin is activated, Artemis dons a completely new demeanor and almost completely looses himself to his Pride. In this state he becomes cruel and bloodthirsty beyond compare and will stop at nothing to destroy not only his original target, but everything around him if only to prove his supremity. In fear of this happening, Artemis usually keeps to himself and tries to interact with outsiders as little as possible.

History: In a time further back than most creatures can remember, should they have existed at the time, a king reigned over Hueco Mundo. This king was the first and only of his kind at the time, an evolution in the chain of hollows, he was a Vasto Lorde. His name was Artemis, and he was a feared creature among the adjucha that once ran the domain. Upon the discovery of his difference to the other hollow originated creatures roaming Hueco Mundo, Artemis was soon given the title of "king" rather than having actually earned it. For the most part he was avoided by weaker beings, though occasionally they would seek him out in challenge only to become food for his less ravenous appetite. As he was a more solitary and uninterested in power struggles, Artemis kept to himself and stayed out of the affairs regarding humans and shinigami, thus keeping himself off of their radar and maintaining a non-threatening status.
As he became bored of the unchanging landscape and monotonous routine that came day in and day out Artemis soon left Hueco Mundo and began to travel through the human realm. He never caused any destruction, as such was not in his nature, but merely fed off of a few hollows here and there while walking through the world that humans had created for themselves. At this time, tales of Artemis as king faded and a new allegiance was found towards an arrancar by the name of Barragan. Even so, Artemis did not concern himself with the happenings in Hueco Mundo until news came of both Barragan and his entire army having been wiped out.
Artemis soon returned to Hueco Mundo and imediately rumors of his return spread and even reached the ears of a shinigami, the one who had taken out Barragan. Upon his arrival to Las Noches, he was met with a shinigami by the name of Sōsuke Aizen who stated that he would take down the king of Hueco Mundo. Artemis simply offered the title to Aizen, finding no interest in doing battle with the shinigami captain, though the other wouldn't hear of it. If a new king were to arise while the old king still lived, then loyalties would be divided, or so Aizen said. Shortly after their exchange, Sōsuke attacked Artemis, though quickly found himself to be out matched by the Vasto Lorde and hastily recruited the help of his company, Gin Ichimaru. Artemis did a splendid job of holding his own against the pair until a third captain attacked him from behind, Kaname Tōsen. After a long hard battle, the three managed to bring down Artemis who lay in the white sand of Hueco Mundo on the brink of death.
While the thought of ending his existence was a relief to Artemis, a figure approached his dying corpse and spoke of using him. Artemis had blacked out after seeing the figure, though awoke some time later, surprised and a bit dismayed to find himself alive. He could feel something was different about himself, as if he had something weighing down in his chest. He soon came to find that weight was his Sin, as Pride was a heavy burden to carry. Artemis discovered that he was no longer just a mere Vasto Lorde, but something new entirely. He now possessed a power that he could not fully control and not of his own will, however he did not fight the Observers. Rather, he took this new power and tried his best to distance himself from the group, though the Pride now resting within him wouldn't allow him to completely seclude himself as he had done before. Without realizing it, the Pride began to subtly influence Artemis, keeping him within reach of the Observers.

To use this technique, Artemis must sacrifice the same amount of reiatsu as is being taken from his opponent every half post as well. Once the embers explode, the air around the explosion is filled with choking smoke. Embers rain down at about three per one post and have an explosion radius of about five feet and the flame arch spans anywhere between thirty and forty feet from its point of origin. This technique only lasts as long as Artemis can continue to blow his flames into the sky and can be used once every nine posts.
- To Telos: As he continues to fight in this form a little bit more of Artemis is lost during the time spent releasing his Sin. To account for this time a piece of Artemis' helm breaks off at intervals of how far gone he is(By the second post pieces would begin to break off, starting with a rather large chip, then progressing to a small chunk by the fourth post, and then to a large piece by the sixth. By the tenth post in this form, his helm will have completely broken off.); the more time he spends in this release, the bigger the pieces that break. Once his entire helm is broken off, it is a symbol that Artemis is lost with his Sin and Pride is left to roam free and cause chaos. Intelligence: His intelligence is very high in a sense that he can easily put two and two together, but also when assessing his foes and their strengths and weaknesses, as he is a professional observer.(Not to be confused with an Observer) This skill dulls down to slightly above average in his Sin release.
Athletic Skill: His athletic skill starts out at an advanced level, meaning that most any kind of strenuous task or meager battle is not out of his hands, though his skill progresses quickly with his higher levels of release.
Strength: His strength begins at slightly high, enough to win in an arm wrestling match against a captain shinigami with their shikai released, but it grows to exponential levels with his higher releases.
Speed: Speed remains at that of a normal arrancars sonido through all releases.
Agility: Agility grows from a level of that of a normal arrancar to very high up to his Segunda Etapa release, then plummets in his Sin release.
Stamina: Stamina remains at a constant low during his hollow releases, though picks up to an extreme during his Sin release, allowing him to preform series attacks.
Durability: Durability is low through all hollow releases and then sky rockets in his Sin release, causing him to not feel weakened by opposing attacks for the most part.
Endurance: His endurance is at a constantly high level during his hollow releases, though falls to low during his Sin release and leading him to take long breaks between multiple series of attacks.
Flexibility: Begins moderate and very slightly increases with releases up to his Segunda Etapa, though plummets during his Sin release.
Any Special Skills:
- Artemis can summon lower level hollow creatures through any garganta that he creates. These hollows can range anywhere from a primary hollow to an adjucha and will do his bidding. Only two of any combination of the following can be summoned at one time: Hollow, Gillian, or Adjucha.
- Artemis has the ability to see the memories of other hollow beings as he devours them. These memories include the time during their human, soul, and hollow existence.
