Personality: Craig is mortally terrified of other people, due to a nightmarish event in his childhood, that resulted in the death of his best friend. He speaks but seldom, and when he does, his voice rasps from disuse. due to the manifestation of his powers, few people attempt to talk to him, or befriend him. He comes off as a very disturbed individual, and only attends Xavier's school because the professor has been trying to help Craig master the power he has, before he harms himself, or someone else.
History: Craig's history was nothing special for the first 8 years of his life. He lived the happy peaceful life of a farm boy growing up in Iowa. his childhood was cornfields and sunshine. When he turned seven, a family moved into the house down the road. They had a little girl, Jenna, who was the same age as Craig. The two became fast friends, and due to their proximity, spent alot of time together. Theirs was a fated love from child hood, for Craig had promised to be her best friend forever. Jenna's father was a drinking man, and was prone to fits of drunken rage.
One night, during a particular bout of anger, he kidnapped Craig from his bed, and chained him to an old rusted piece of farm equipment in his barn, and then went and fetched Jenna from her bed. The nightmares he visited upon Jenna were classifiable as monstrous. Craig was forced to watch as his best friend, and childhood love was broken, beaten, raped, and finally murdered. The horrors broke Craig's mind as a hammer would a pane of glass. When Jenna's father finally turned his attention to Craig, Unchaining him so he could beat him as well, Craig vanished before his eyes. His power had manifested. An intense rolling wave of fear overwhelmed the man, bringing him to his knees. His skin itched, he felt anxious, nausea rolled over his stomach, and still he could not see Craig, until, as his stomach calmed, he noticed movement out of the corner of his eye. it was the last thing he saw.
Craig repaid the man in total for everything he had done to Jenna, and by the time he had finished, the 8 year old mutant was coated with blood. The police found him the next morning, sitting on the a rafter beam of the barn, knees hugged to his chest, and a palpable aura of fear around him. He didnt respond to questions, ate little, and slept even less after that. His parents were on the verge of institutionalizing Craig, when Charles Xavier came, and brought him home to the school. Since then, Craig has worked with his instructors, and sometimes fellow students to make leaps and bounds to the point where he could tolerate being around people, but his fear still causes him to hide behind a skull mask, because in his minds eye, people are the scariest thing he has ever encountered.

He often sticks to shadowed corners, and has been described as being very wraithlike.

Powers and Personal Weaknesses
Powers: Scare Zone: Craig's presence emits a highly charged Electro-magnetic field, which causes those inside the field to get anxious, fearful, irritated skin, nausea. He has worked with Xavier to be able to contain the field till he needs it.
Fade: Craig's powers make him fade from the five senses of his opponents, rendering him a ghost on the battlefield. He can still be seen out of peripheral vision. Fade works better in dark places. When in well lite areas, Fade makes him disappear, but his shadow remains, and is thus easier to fight.
Weaknesses: Craig's natural fear of others makes him unlikely to commit to combat, and his power is next to useless if he fights in well lighted areas. He functions better in the dark, and even then, only against single targets, if he tries to take on too may people, his fear overrides his powers, and he uses it to try and hide, instead of fight.
