The body fell with a light splash.
It had been weighted well, so what was left wouldn't float back up until the fish were done with it.
An ecologically friendly method, this.

It had been stripped of edible bits, as ends had been tight for Tazrii.
The supply shop he ran hadn't been faring so well as of late.

It wasn't that he'd been killing regulars, he knew better. But there just weren't enough people that wanted to buy his amulets and enchantments right now.
Oh, well. The mute Ruon had stocked up on non-perishables recently, so this meat would square his pantry nicely.

He was in a good mood, and he would have whistled on his way home, but he had no tongue.
Oh, well. There's a downside to everything.
Still, now was not the time to be down at the mouth.

Tazrii made his way to home from the dock.
He had guests to feed...

Jay yawned, lying back with his head against the wall. So much death, not enough Coca Cola. Or bother to even use his magic. Ah well, he put himself in this mess.
He had to thank a few people for even bothering to let him use the books with which he learned his Chaos magic. Made for some interesting fights, or for some easy ones.
Ah well. Sheesh, wonder when something interesting would happen?

A large shadow passed over Tazrii's head.. If he looked up it would appear to be a large ship.. That started to shoot down orange bolts of energy, rapidly at him. They stopped shortly after, though the chance that every single one missing would have been nearly impossible.. A chain shot down from the ship, and grabbed Tazrii by the stomach, and began pulling him up.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The world in front of Jay began to shimmer, and distort. Soon it changed to a seen of a large, black, ship, off in the distance, and it showed the last of the hellfire launched down upon Tazrii.. The ship began to fly through the portal it created, and launched a similar attack, when over Jay. Again, the chain shot down, and pulled him into the ship.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The next thing either of them knew, they were in a grassy field.. There was a gentle breeze, and a few trees nearby, though not many..

Suddenly, there was the sound of someone clearing their throat, over an intercom. "Ahehem.. Welcome to Alexria!" He called out.
Tazrii's eyes widened at the bolts, successfully rolling out of the way of three, but others hit their marks anyhow.
He tried cutting the chain with one of the blades he had on him, but all it did was dull the edge.

The painted Ruon looked around. This was new.
Oh, and look! He had a friend.
The voice might have been, too, but Tazrii wasn't so sure of that.
He wasn't here, so he probably didn't want to play.

Play could wait for later, anyhow.
He walked up to Jay, reached down, and shook his hand vigorously.

And then he was off, looking around.

Jay... to be blunt, was surprised. A sudden chain pulled him into a ship after apparently being in some fake world or something.
Oh, then he was in a field and some guy was telling them it was Alexria. And some weirdo appeared and shook his hand. Oh-kaaaay...
He got up and looked around, then said, 'Jeez, a bit different from a city, isn't it? Ah well...'

"Well, now. We're all well acquainted.. Well.. As well as we're going to be. So, here we go, let's see if either of you are worth any more than a scrap of paper.. Hm.. Well, I suppose there's not really much point in coming up with anything good.. Ok! See that tower over there? The one stuck in perpetual nighttime?" A large black tower formed a good ways away, in the middle of some mountains, and the sky around it was dark. "Go there, and.. Stop a fire crystal from blowing up the entire field.. Which, in this case, is the entire world. You can help eachother, kill eachother, or.. Whatever, I don't really care. Be careful if you decide to kill eachother though, cleaning up blood is such a pain.."

Destroy the world? Well, that's no good.
I should probably do as that silly voice says.

Tazrii was aware that extra hands were a good thing here.
He pointed to the tower, motioned for his new friend to come with, and started off.
smilies/icon_arrow.gif

'Alright, alright,' Jay moaned, waving his hand as if to ward off some evil deity, following after the dude. Why the heck would he want to kill him, anyway? Not like he was a glory-stealer.

They walked through the field, hearing the announcer mumbling about something.. "..Um.. Ah ha! Let's do that! Eh hem.. Giant snakes. Came up with it off the top of my head. This field is inhabited by giant snakes, that are going to try and eat you. Happy fighting.. Or.. Dying, if that happens to be the case."

Suddenly two giant cobras shot up from the ground, each one immediately diving for their targets. (one for each, as you might expect)

As it was extrordinarily difficult for any person to dodge a snake, Tazrii didn't do it.
He hadn't quite the reflexes for it.

Instead, he cast a barrier. It wouldn't rebound right off of it, but it was rounded and frictionless.
The cobra slid to the side, and the Ruon drew a sturdy knife.
Almost delicately, he slid it into the creature's side, slitting it up a treat.
smilies/icon_biggrin.gif

'Snakes? Does that ring the bell for unoriginal?' Jay moaned, as when the snake attacked, he blasted it with a stream of pure magical power. That'd fry it, but it seemed a waste for his Chaos energy.
Oh well, like it mattered. Not like he'd use Chaos magic to, oh I don't know, turn it into an orc of something? Maybe a bunny? That'd be nice. A snake-turned-bunny. Try setting those against us, he thought.

The snake Tazrii attacked, let out a loud hiss, as it started going underground.. And didn't come back up. Jay's got hit, though quickly moved out of the way, once it was, looking at them both, angrily.

"Haha, 1 down. The other one's just mad, though, good job! Hm.." Another snake jumped out from the ground.. And then turned into a rabbit.. Except.. The rabbit had two guns mounted on its side. "Kill them!" The guns began to shoot the same paralysis-bolts, that the ship had shot.. Except this time they would work, and there were less of them. "Snake-turned-bunny set against you!"

The psychopath wasn't happy with things this way at all.
The hand wasn't a viable stab-cusion, of that he was certain.
So instead, he gathered up the magic emanating from the ball.

Twisting it into a lassoed rope, he tried tying it up.
Regardless of his success or failiure, it touched the rope.
From there, he could transmit his thoughts.
More to the point, he could make his displeasure known.
What are you doing, being a ball!?
Change back to that lobster, or that fun hand, dammit!

Alright, screw this. Violence rewards with violence.
'Guardio, know any way we could harm this thing? Reckon magic might do something?' he asked, watching Tazrii do gods-knew-what with his rope of magic.

"..Magic is usually the best way to counter magic, which seems to be what the ball is.." Guardo said. "As for what to do exactly, I don't know.."

"Change back!?
Do you think I would do this to myself!?
I would sooner break your back!
What made you think I'd do this, little elf!?"

The Ruon was mentally silent for a moment.
...YES! MAYBE! NO!
ALL OF THESE!
Is that your only hand?
JUST CHANGE BACK!

The coils of magic started to squeeze in different places.
It looked like he was trying to force the ball back into either previous shape.
What's worse, he might actually have been able to.

...Even so, the mental connection gave the thing the idea that Tazrii wasn't as mentally stable as he'd like.
His mind was all broken glass and distorted reflections of things that may or may not have been reflections themselves.

'Well, let's try again...' Jay sighed, deciding if this didn't do it, then screw it; he was melting that thing out of the way. Come on Chaos magic, work this time... please?
(I wish to turn dat ball-hand into the original hand it was.
Numbers I choose...5 and 1. So pwease be right? =D)

(The god of random number generating has blessed you! 5!
Awesome signature btw. [laugh])
Suddenly the magical storm halted, and the hand turned back to normal..
"Lucky man.. You may pass.."
(!)
(Break in rhyme scheme!)
The hand retracted into the ground. As they walked down the hall, they would eventually run into a staircase, surrounded tightly by walls.. A spiral staircase.. That went up.. And up.. And up..

The Ruon let the rope dissolve as its source left.
He was abruptly happy once more.
: o)

He quietly followed the path, deciding to climb the stairs on all fours, but climbing them all the same.
It seemed like a good idea.

'Oh joy, it actually worked,' Jay sighed, before going past. He shouted, 'I still think a ball-hand would've been good!' at the giant guy before running down the hall and starting up the stairs after his ally. That felt good.

Eventually, if they kept climbing they would reach the top of the stairs. (obviously) They were now at the top of the tower. Four tall spires donned the sides, and a large glass orb, with fire inside of it, floated inbetween them.

"Oh, good! You're at the top. Now save Alexria from being obliterated, bla bla bla.. This adventure was short.."

Tazrii cocked his head at the funny Voice-Man.
If it was short, shouldn't you have had an outline or something?
And why would we want to save anybody when we have this wonderful view?
It's not as awesome as riding a giant lobster, but it is pretty nice.
: o)

The Ruon took a seat on the edge, letting his feet dangle.
He seemed perfectly content right now.

'Eh, I'm game for taking a rest...' Jay sighed, sitting down as well, on the edge of said tower. He didn't like climbing stairs... It irked him. A lot.

"What!? Rest!?" The Announcer yelled.

"..Master, time is of the essence.." Guardo said.

"Yes! And you don't have much of it!" The glass began to crack. "When that ball breaks, you're both dead! Now get rid of it!"

The Ruon stared at where he thought the voice came from.
What.
How do. But we.
Get rid of it... and not break it? You're talkin' crazy, now.
:0(

Still, he got up, reluctantly.
Walking around it, he saw no methods of locomotion, besides the rounded shape.
I like the ball.
It's shiny. Why does it need to go away?

'Eeeeeergh...' Jay moaned, flopping back, then rolling backwards into a standing position. He looked at the ball thing half-heartedly. 'I'm taking that the glass can break, just not near us... right?'

"No! The glass cannot break, it will unleash a large amount of energy that will cover, and destroy the entire world! Now get rid of it!" The announcer yelled, angrily.

The Ruon patted himself down, finding some glue.
(Best not to ask.)

What we need for a situation like this is white magic, or healing magic.
Since I don't think I can heal a bit of glass, let's try this.
It's white and it works like magic!
:0)

With no better ideas, he began applying the glue to the cracks.

'Glue... Alrighty then,' Jay remarked, before he sat down again and let Tazrii do his thing.
Damn, now he wanted a Pritt Stick or something to mess around with, maybe make a paper glider out of some paper... Like, a titchy one.

"You're using glue to try and stop a cataclysmic event, that could destroy the whole world? Of all the people I could have chosen.. Alright! Here, how about this! If it breaks by itself then the world will end. Now stop using glue!" The announcer said.

"..I assume that means we can break it?" Guardo asked, confused. "..I don't think that sounds like a good idea, master.."

Tazrii was beginning to get irritable.
That may tended to turn out badly for things at all susceptible to shtabbing.
Still, he pocketed the glue, carefully wiping it off so that it didn't stick in his pocket, and went over to the side of the tower, looking for loose stones.

If you're just gonna be this disagreeable, why didn't you say that before?
He growled, charging magic in his palms.
He took hold of Guardo, lifting him with giant hands of pure force.
The Ruon wound up, getting ready to smash him into the glass, but he remembered that Guardo was cuddly.
:0(

The animated suit put down, he used the hands to start disassembling some of the stone outcroppings to smash it with instead.

(Fun fact: they use superglue in hospitals)

'Alright, f*** this!' Jay shouted, getting annoyed with the voice. First it couldn't be broken, then it can't break on its own? And after all his comments before...?!?!?!
Unacceptable.
He blasted the sphere with an extremely focused stream of pure magic that would hopefully break the heck out of the glass.

The ball began to crack, though it didn't shatter, instead remaining in near-shattered state.

"Oh, you have 30 secon-" The announcer began, before the rock smashed into it, destroying it. The fire within began to fade into nothing.

"Oh.. You did it. Well, that was anti-climactic.." The announcer said. "..You were supposed to die, what the hell.. Oh, great new plan!" Suddenly, all three of them appeared in a metal bunker. "Alright, I've got a new quest! ..In a minute.. For now.. Um.. Guardo, you're sticking with your master! Tazrii, you need a partner, too.." Suddenly a small blue winged ball appeared in front of him. "She speaks mute! ..Name her whatever you want."

"Hey! ..You're.. Tazrii, right?" She asked.
(Hm, I didn't know that)

Tazrii was slightly disoriented: one moment, he was swinging masonry into glass, then he was swinging nothing at all.
The fairy was a surprise as well.
He wasn't hungry, so she didn't seem to be a snack.

He nodded at her question.
Can you read my mind, or do I have to pretend to speak?
What do you use to glow like that? I remember having a cube with a heart on it once; they told me that it couldn't speak or try to stab me with a knife.
Why don't you have a name?
:0)

The ball was no longer important, so he didn't bother remembering it.
Tazrii was still irritated, so he was just going to stab the next person he saw that wasn't here already.

(I might keep that in mind.)
'Wooh. That worked,' Jay quietly shouted, right before he was in a bunker.
Nuts.
Well, at least Guardo was here.
'Well, let's find... a way out?' he wondered. He figured there'd be an exit in a bunker somewhere.
