Company: A gang Thoughts: Must we play this game every night? Location: Streets of Metropolis's Suicide Slums
[Nightingale][Sonokinesis][Legacy Initiative] Taliana looked on with devilish intent as the gang members began beating a homeless man. "You boys don't know when to quit do you?" Taliana spoke darkly as she stepped out of the shadows of the alley The gang turned from beating the old man and stared at the leather clad female. Her cerulean blue orbs cut like daggers into the men. She was not a scared kitten like the people this gang had been messing with over the past few weeks. The gang had managed to elude the grasp of her talons in her attempts to track them. Unfortunately for them she had finally had caught them in the act. Now the nightingale was determined to finish her prey slowly and painfully, like the worthless scum they were.
'Run along beautiful...Would hate to scar that pretty face of yours.' The bald headed member commented. He flicked a knife from out of his pocket and smirked as if his threat was enough to scare her.
"Nice toy." Taliana fanned out her canary feathers and reviled in the shocked response she got from the gang members. She flicked one of the blades directly at the bald headed man's throat. The blade pierced through it like butter, splattering blood on the members behind him. The men immediately tried to make a run for it. Taliana was not about to let them get away that easily. A rhythmic toss of her blades struck each of the three remaining members with precision in the legs, and hindered them from running any further. Taliana walked up on the gang members who were no begging for mercy. "Isn't that the same question that man asked you?! Where was the mercy then?" Taliana grabbed one of the members by his hair and then slammed his face on the ground. "Don't ask me anymore stupid questions, you disgusting animal." She slit the man's throat before moving on to the others. She refused to let any of them forget this day; the day they were ensnared by the Nightingale.

Green Arrow "Heads up, you're about to be a pincushion" Alias: Jonathan Price Status: Healthy Thoughts: Well well well, hello beautiful.
Current Quiver: 73/75 15 Standard Broad head Arrows 8 Taser Arrows 10 Quick Drying Foam Cement Arrows 10 Explosive Putty Arrows 10 Zipline Arrows 5 Bola Arrows 5 Net Arrows 5 Flash Bang Grenade Arrows 5 Smoke Arrows There was more than just the Nightingale out on the streets. From the rooftops, another figure was prowling the slums for a certain target. The hunter's name: Green Arrow. Why was he here? Well it was a slightly complicated story. See he was in Metropolis as Jonathan Price to discuss a new business opportunity with S.T.A.R. Labs about supplying some the technology they used for their research projects. The deals were going to take a couple days, so in the meantime, he figured to catch up with Taliana and see how she was doing. However, when he got to her apartment, she wasn't there.
Figuring something was wrong, he donned his Green Arrow costume and saddled up for a night around Metropolis. He followed a trail of screams and blood, tracking them down to an alleyway that he was now coming upon. And it seemed he was just in time. For whoever was slaughtering these criminals, was already at it again. He pulled out two taser arrows, putting one between his teeth as he slowly sneaked on the rooftop and peered over the edge. A sight to behold greeted him: a beautiful woman, wearing white and blue, literally kicking the criminals asses left and right. But what disturbed him was the way she showed absolutely no mercy. She killed them, like she thought she was judge, jury, and executioner. Like when she was on the prowl, her will is law.
Even if they are the scum of the earth, they should at least stand trial and be held accountable for their crimes. Not that he hasn't done the same thing before. But he only kills if he has no other choice. It may seem weak, but in his mind, he felt even their lives were precious in some way. He nocked both Taser arrows and took aim, letting the projectiles loose and knocking out two out of three of last criminal with 200,000 volts of electricity. He then nocked another arrow and aimed it at Nightingale.
"So you're the siren who's been making all the noise here?" Jonathan said. But something about this woman was disturbing. She looked an awful lot like his best friend and adoptive sister. Could it be.....?

Company: Green Arrow Thoughts: Run along Arrow... Location: Streets of Metropolis's Suicide Slums
[Nightingale][Sonokinesis][Legacy Initiative] Taliana cut her eyes over her shoulder at the Green Arrow as he called to her. It was then that she slipped on her tiny eye mask; it covered the outside of her eyes with two sideways diamonds. She was not in the mood to combat another hero, especially not when she was doing her job. "Run along Arrow, or else my lullaby will be the last thing you hear tonight." Taliana stated defiantly as she turned to face him. She saw that he had an arrow knocked and pointed right at her. A smirk crawled across her face at his futile attempt to stop her. A few arrows weren't enough to scare her. "Is there a reason your on my turf Arrow?!" Taliana questioned. She had heard some reports of a new Green Arrow making a home in Coast City. It came as a surprise that someone inherited, so to speak, the legacy of her mentor's lover. Then again, with all the legacies popping up nowadays she shouldn't be too surprised. Title of Green Lantern had been passed on to Ian Wickes; the Flash to Darius Allen; Martian Manhunter to Abidi. Legacies were being passed around like hotcakes, and all pointed to signs of a new Justice League.
But this birdy wasn't ready to play with the flock....
The siren sashayed over to the new Green Arrow, a devious smirk crossing her lips. "No need to play rough, love. I am only doing my job after all." She coyed as she brushed her hand against his arrow's length. "Such a solid shaft." Taliana turned away from the male and walked back over to the beaten gang members. "If you don't mind, I still have a job to do." The songstress flicked out another blade and flicked it at the remaining gang member. She doubted the man would let her free with not resistance. Another blade slipped from her boot and she tossed it with lethal precision at the Green Arrow. With the blade fired at him, she scaled the nearby fire escape and headed up to the roof. Taliana quickly made her dash but prepared for a potential trick arrow coming her way.

Green Arrow "Heads up, you're about to be a pincushion" Alias: Jonathan Price Status: Healthy Thoughts: Why all the double entendres and innuendos Pretty Bird?
Current Quiver: 72/75 14 Standard Broad head Arrows 8 Taser Arrows 10 Quick Drying Foam Cement Arrows 10 Explosive Putty Arrows 10 Zipline Arrows 5 Bola Arrows (1 nocked and ready) 5 Net Arrows 5 Flash Bang Grenade Arrows 5 Smoke Arrows She acknowledged he was here, but instead of saying hi nicely, she was a bit hostile from the beginning, "Well, I was just in the area, wanting to visit a friend of mine in the University when I heard rumors of the criminal underworld falling under the song of a Nightingale. So I figured to check it out and see what's up," He jumped off the rooftop, an arrow still aimed right at the beautiful blond in front of him as she just brushed off the impending threat of being shot by him and as they would say in the modeling world, sashayed over to him. She could tell his was trying to keep his eyes on her eyes, but the swaying hips and....other attributes were attempting to distract him. Why, why did the person he was hunting have to be a woman?
"But don't you know, I like playing rough," he answered. Now she was making a suggestive remark. He knew she was talking about the arrow he had nocked and aimed at her, but the imagination tends to run wild and well....he is a guy after all. "Well, I do make sure they are made of the finest materials money can buy," he answered. His current arrow: a standard broadhead arrow. As she walked away and went back to her prey, he loosed the arrow just as she threw one of her knives at the remaining gang member that was now practically beaten and begging to be spared. She wasn't killing them, not on his watch.
And then she threw a knife at him, one that coming to him quickly. He batted it out of the air with his bow, watching it skitter to the ground. When she scaled up the roof and attempted to escape, he followed, using the nearby dumpster and chain link fence as jumping points, not bothering to waste ammunition that can be used in subduing his new prey: Nightingale. After a flip onto the rooftop parallel to the run she was going to, he nocked a Bola Arrow and took aim. Waiting for her to get on the rooftop and start running.
"I wouldn't run if I were you, Pretty Bird. I'm very good at hitting any target," he taunted her. He was really wanting her not to run, but she wouldn't likely listen. In which case she will reap her rewards. But running was what she was going to do anyways, so he fired. The arrow streaked towards it's intended target: the shapely legs of the Nightingale. In mid flight, the arrows casing split open and launched a bola intending to tie up her legs and hopefully stop her mad dash.

Company: Green Arrow Thoughts: Do you really think you'll cage a Nightingale?! Location: Rooftops of Metropolis's Suicide Slums
[Nightingale][Sonokinesis][Legacy Initiative] Taliana used her sonokinetic abilities to lock onto the Archer's position. She had a feeling he wasn't going to let her go so easily. Why was he sticking his nose in her business anyway? What did it matter to him? Taliana just hoped he realized what he was getting into. Few have tangoed with the Nightingale under the moonlight unscathed. She was as vicious as any hunter, and more cunning than a fox; if he wanted to play, so be it. "A game of cat and canary, eh?! Try this on for size, handsome." Taliana heard the release of one his trick arrows as it left the bow. The familiar whistling of the projectile gave her the ability to locate it's targeted position on her body. Just as the bola would have struck her legs, she leaped into the air. Her body twisted into a flip as she cupped her hands over her mouth. "AGH!!!" A sonic lance boomed from her mouth with such concussive force that she was pushed over to the next building with ease. The sound wave would be enough to slow down her pursuer, unless he had a few more tricks up his sleeve. Taliana made a mad dash across the new building rooftop and slid her way down it's fire escape. She hit the ground running in the direction of the park. She hoped she be able to lose the archer by cutting through the park to get to her home. Something told her that the archer was more resourceful than he was leading on, and retreat wouldn't be all that smart. The siren stopped in the middle of the park and turned on her heels.
"Sometimes the canary knows when to choose her battles." Taliana stated under her breath. No use running to her home where he would discover her identity. She had already had enough heroes discovering who she was. At least here in the park they were on an even playing field. Nothing to hide behind, and open space. Perfect area for her sonokinetic powers. The songstress was prepared for a fight if need be.

Company: Green Arrow Thoughts: And the Songbirds keep singing like they know the score... Location: Park
[Nightingale][Sonokinesis][Legacy Initiative] Taliana heard the Archer as he approached her, but it was pointless. His smoke arrow had managed to sneak up on her and release a pesky cloud of smoke. Taliana swung her arms viciously to clear the smoke from around her. The siren held her breath to avoid breathing in the smoke. Chances were it could be poisonous, which was more unlikely, but she didn't want the smoke to coat her vocal chords. Nothing sounded worse than singing like a smoker. Reaching the limit of her lung capacity, Taliana skillfully flipped out of the smoke cloud, only remnants of it swirled around her. "If you can try not killing me that would be sublime." Taliana hissed. It was obvious he was trying to keep her attention diverted. It would work for now. The new Arrow would just need to realize that unlike him, she didn't need her eyes to see him. Taliana let out a quick whistle that swept through the area in a 360 degree circle. The soundwave bounced off the various objects in the park such as the trees, as well as the position of her Green clad friend.
"I consider myself a songbird who knows every score, darling." Taliana coyed as she placed her hands on her hips. Taliana was really curious as to why this hero felt the need to pursue her like she was some criminal. So she had beat a few bad guys, but did they not deserve it?! Answer was yes. She had no quarrel with him though, so there was no need to tarnish her heroic name by hurting a fellow hero. Hopefully her hypnotic lullaby would be enough to get him to leave. The goal was to not make it obvious though. If he was as cunning as his predecessor, he would have already assessed the nature of her abilities. For now, it would be best to talk things out. "So, tell me again why your following me?!" Taliana asked, the condescending tone ever present in her voice.

Green Arrow "Heads up, you're about to be a pincushion" Alias: Jonathan Price Status: Healthy Thoughts: Why isn't she trying her best to make me leave. She has the ability to, why isn't she doing it?
Current Quiver: 68/75 12 Standard Broad head Arrows (1 nocked and ready) 8 Taser Arrows 10 Quick Drying Foam Cement Arrows 10 Explosive Putty Arrows 9 Zipline Arrows 4 Bola Arrows 5 Net Arrows 5 Flash Bang Grenade Arrows 3 Smoke Arrows As he thought, she was going to get out of the smoke cloud instead of stay in it. Probably the smartest move she could of done. But something about this seemed off. She didn't want him to leave, contrary to what she was saying. Sure, he was pursuing her, but it was because she was beating up criminals after they stopped and begged for mercy. Shouldn't the legal system take care of them instead of bloodying your on hands?
"Now why would I try to kill a beautiful lady such as yourself?" Jonathan answered, replaced the Flash Bang Arrow back into his quiver and nocking and quickly loosing a standard arrow, but purposely missing. After a couple more arrows, he nocked and held his next arrow as she proceeded to continue to talk to him. Her comment about knowing every score made him smile a little, "That reminds me of something a friend of mine would say. She has a beautiful voice, just like you."
He heard a quick whistle, and can only guess that she knew where he was now. Her vocal talents were much more well developed than her predecessors, and he already had a clue on her abilities from what the news said about her. He can guess that she wants to lure him in close so she can hypnotize him with her voice and tell him to leave her alone. At least that's what he thought. But if she wanted him to leave, why didn't she do so when she was scant inches away from his ear before?
"You're stalling, Pretty Bird. If you are so adamant on me leaving you alone, why didn't you whisper that suggestion into my ear back in that alley? I can tell you why: curiosity. And not curiosity on why I am here, Miss Nightingale. But curiosity of who I really am. You want to look behind these shades and see the man underneath. It's why you are engaging in conversation with me instead of commanding me to leave. Because you know, I know a lot about you, yet you know barely anything about me."
It was a slight change of topic, from why he's here to why she didn't want him to leave. He was sure he hit the mark. There was a reason why Jonathan digested every piece of news he could, why he was adamant on keeping up with his studies. He wanted to be as many steps ahead from potential enemies as he can be.

Company: Green Arrow Thoughts: Psh, don't flatter yourself! Location: Park
[Nightingale][Sonokinesis][Legacy Initiative] Taliana rolled her eyes as the arrows missed her. Not trying to kill her, eh? Was he not trying or failing miserably to? Taliana stood her ground as the Archer nocked his another arrow. "Your friend sounds like a real charmer....Why don't you go bother her instead?" Taliana shot back. Something was off about this man. What were his real intentions? What was with all the references to this girl he was supposed to meet?! It was as if he were trying to hint at something. Taliana was actually oblivious to whatever it was, which was the sad part. The girl didn't really want to waste any more time talking in circles with this man. Either he was going to attack her or she was going to blow up his eardrums. Her friend, Jonathan, would be at her house soon to see her. The longer this went on the, quicker her opportunity to see him slipped. Unless....
"Don't flatter yourself pretty boy." Taliana wittily remarked as the Archer tried to get in her head. He thought he had her figured out; she would love to see the day when a man proved himself so capable. "If I wanted to know something about you, I would have already gotten what I needed. You and I both know that." Her cold tone cut through the air like blade through butter. She wasn't entertaining this conversation to learn more about him, but to get him to constantly listen to her speak. Eventually he wouldn't notice when she spoke on pitch. A simple trick she had learned which furthered her ability to trap someone under her vocal control. "You think you know me, but false knowledge is only good for the weak." Her words were spoken in the key of G; almost in a rhythmic scale.
Taliana knew the tides had shifted into her favor and this would be over soon. 'Sorry, Arrow.' Taliana quickly let out a gentle riff that echoed through the air, soon joined by a harmonious riff above it."Tell me about yourself....Green Arrow." Taliana sung.

Green Arrow "Heads up, you're about to be a pincushion" Alias: Jonathan Price Status: Healthy Thoughts: What the fu-?
Current Quiver: 65/75 12 Standard Broad head Arrows 8 Taser Arrows 10 Quick Drying Foam Cement Arrows 10 Explosive Putty Arrows 9 Zipline Arrows 4 Bola Arrows 5 Net Arrows 4 Flash Bang Grenade Arrows 3 Smoke Arrows "Because I think she might be closer to here than I previously thought," Jonathan answered. The thing with being the friend of a singer was the fact he has heard her singing before. Every note, every pitch. As she continued talking, he noticed that the way she talked was rather familiar. Regardless, when he heard a gentle riff in the air, he realized that this was way too familiar.
Now I know this voice. But what the hell is Taliana doing killing people? I swear I'm going to have more than a few words with her once I can get that mask off of her and confirm my suspicions are right
But if she thinks he was going to reveal his secrets but a few honeyed words spun on a melodious harp, it wasn't going to work on him. He had already figured out she could of done the same thing back in the alley, he already has a clue who she is, and despite his lack of earplugs, he found her song resistable, "Sorry, I'm not so easily seduced by a woman's voice," He answered, changing the standard he had nocked to a Flash Bang Grenade and fire it right at her feet. Within a couple seconds and a few beeps, the arrow exploded. He had already taken precautions, clicking a button on his glasses so that the lenses blocked off the intense light from the flash. But for Taliana, unless she can move in time, several things would happen: temporary loss of vision, temporary loss of hearing, and the fluid in her ears being disrupted so that her balance is compromised. Of course that is if she doesn't move in time.
But he took advantage of her moment of weakness (if his Flash Bang Arrow has full effect) to walk over to the young blond and simply take off the little eye mask, finally confirming his suspicions: it was Taliana Lance under the mask, and at once he frowned, returned his glasses to it's normal vision mode by pressing another button, "So my friend wasn't missing after all. Wasn't she, Taliana?"

Company: Green Arrow Thoughts: Jonathan?! Location: Park
[Nightingale][Sonokinesis][Legacy Initiative] Taliana wasn't prepared for the burst of light that emitted from his arrow. Taliana lept backwards to avoid anymore possible arrows. Her vision was temporarily disrupted by the flash, but her equilibrium was more than intact. Her own powers would kill her if her ears weren't resistant to disruption. So seduction didn't work on the Arrow? No matter. Taliana had other ways of handling the archer. Although her vision was still blurry, she could hear him approach her. She felt his cold gloves touch her face and take the tiny mask of her face. She would give him the satisfaction of removing her mask, even if it was because she let him. "Are you going to kill me now, hm?" Taliana snapped. Had he got what he wanted? Or did he want to relish in his temporary victory? Her thoughts changed when he spoke her name. Had she spoken her name out loud at some point? A chill ran down her spine. Either someone was truly out to get her, or her suspicions had been correct.
Taliana wasn't sure whether to continue to be aggressive towards her old friend, or be happy that he was here. As much as she wanted to give him a hug, her ego wouldn't let her. No on beat the Nightingale on her own nesting grounds. People lost or won on her terms. The songbird let out a piercing whistle like scream that focused the sound waves into a tight stream around Jonathan's ears. He wanted to play the equilibrium game, and she was happy to oblige. She swept her leg under his feet to knock him over, and intensify any pain he was already feeling. The siren quickly got to her feet. Her cerulean orbs scanned his figure remorsefully as she continued to let out quick sound bursts. The sound waves stopped once her mouth closed. Taliana turned on her heels to leave. "I'm sorry....Jonathan." She remarked before making a break towards her house. Knowing him, he wouldn't be down for long. At least by the time he recovered she would already be close to her home.

Green Arrow "Heads up, you're about to be a pincushion" Alias: Jonathan Price Status: Healthy Thoughts: Note to self: get earplugs.
Current Quiver: 65/75 12 Standard Broad head Arrows 8 Taser Arrows 10 Quick Drying Foam Cement Arrows 10 Explosive Putty Arrows 9 Zipline Arrows 4 Bola Arrows 5 Net Arrows 4 Flash Bang Grenade Arrows 3 Smoke Arrows Well that didn't go as planned. Of course if you're power deals with sound, your own ears would be resistant to stuff like a Flash Bang Grenade. She seemed shocked when he outright said that he was facing his old friend, which confirmed his suspicions without a shadow of a doubt. Then his own equilibrium was affected by a sharp whistle and as he put his hands up to his ears, he felt his feet leave the ground and the air leave his lungs. Spine, ribs, hurting from that and he barely heard her apologize. She knew who he was, or at least got the clue once he said her name. Knowing her, she was heading home. As he tried to get up, he felt woozy from the assault on his ears.
Note to self: when I get back to Coast City, I am getting earplugs.
He said, shaking his head to clear the wooziness before he finally got up. She was gone by now, but he had a clue where she was going. He followed, leaping onto a dumpster once he was within jumping distance, leaping and scaling up a fire ladder, and finally getting onto the rooftops before he pursued his friend. Right back to where she is living at. It would be quite a shock for her to be so close to home just when a figure clad in green and black just landed right in front of her, and he didn't look too happy at all.
"Taliana, why?" Jonathan asked, rising to his full height, "When you left for Metropolis, I told you to stay out of trouble. And yet now I find you here, killing people! Why?"
He wasn't asking why she was going around fighting criminals. He was asking why she was killing them instead of letting them have a fair trial. It's what he would of done, yet she wasn't letting them have such a thing. To them, she was judge, jury, and executioner. It just seemed wrong to him.

Company: Green Arrow Thoughts: You'll never understand... Location: Near Apartment
[Nightingale][Sonokinesis][Legacy Initiative] "Trouble always did have a bad habit of finding my doorstep." Taliana remarked. She couldn't help but be slightly offended by Jonathan's words. How dare he make her look like the bad guy?! Justice and mercy didn't always work hand in hand. Especially when criminals were involved. A normal court would let most criminals go after a couple years in jail. What good does that do? Absolutely none, if the criminals go back on the street to commit the same crimes. Taliana refused to risk that. Jonathan was one of the people she thought would understand; she had thought wrong. Her cerulean orbs locked with his shaded eyes, trying to find a glimmer of the man she once knew. Growing up, the two of them spoke on subjects such as the justice system. Taliana had made it known then that she felt the handling of criminals was incorrect. Back then the archer agreed, but time had suddenly changed his mind. "Give me a break Jonathan." Taliana sighed heavily as she continued to look at him.
"The boys in blue would have put those gangbangers in jail, only to give them the satisfaction of being able to do it all over again." Taliana hissed. Taliana reached into her shirt and retrieved a tiny golden locket. She held the object close to her heart as she tried to find the words to say. Over the years Taliana had seen many lives taken by crime and no real justice being served to those monsters. One in particular was a small girl who was murdered along with the rest of her family while out at the movies. Taliana was too late in stopping the gunman, who eventually got away with just 15 years in prison. It's for reasons like this that she is so hard on criminals. There is no such thing as mercy when it comes to them. "I'm just doing what I think is right. You can't be mad at me for that; we're two different people with two different ideas on how we should aid the cities we protect." Her cerulean orbs looked down at the locket before she placed it back inside her shirt. She hoped that this little revelation of what they had been doing over the past few years didn't put a riff in their relationship. If it was, then so be it. Taliana had morals she felt needed to be upheld, and that would be done no matter who disagreed.

Green Arrow "Heads up, you're about to be a pincushion" Alias: Jonathan Price Status: Healthy Thoughts: Don't make me fight you, Taliana.
Current Quiver: 65/75 12 Standard Broad head Arrows 8 Taser Arrows 10 Quick Drying Foam Cement Arrows 10 Explosive Putty Arrows 9 Zipline Arrows 4 Bola Arrows 5 Net Arrows 4 Flash Bang Grenade Arrows 3 Smoke Arrows Jonathan was mad. Not at Taliana, but for the circumstances that brought both of their identities to the surface, "I'm not mad at you for doing what you think is right, Taliana," he finally answered, "What I am mad about is the fact you didn't even tell me you were doing this. While we were teenagers, when I asked if we could hang out, you always had an excuse on why we couldn't. 'I have a test to study for', 'I'm not feeling well', 'I'm having a sleepover tonight'. I used to believe that you were telling the truth when you say those things, but now, I'm starting to think some of those were lies. Lies to cover up the fact you've been training to follow in Dinah's footsteps. And you didn't even consider telling me, your best friend, about all of this."
He didn't want to believe that the sweet, fun loving girl he grew up with kids has turned into a murderer of criminals. He couldn't believe it. Part of him wanted to find out where that woman went over the years, but he was afraid that if he found out, their relationship would never be the same again. If it hasn't changed already. When she mentioned why she did what she did, he curtly retorted, "What about the people that turned to crime out of desperation? The woman who stole bread to feed her starving children. The man who robbed a corner market to get enough pocket money to live for the next few days. The young kid who joined a gang to find a place he belongs among peers his age. Do you show mercy to them? Do you put down your weapons and try to hear their story? Or do your slaughter them all the same? When do you stop killing criminals and start caring for their situation?"
He didn't want to fight her now, now that the truth was out. But if she attacked first, he won't hesitate to defend himself. He wasn't afraid to hit a woman. Even if said woman was his best friend, "My point is, you have to show mercy. Otherwise, you're no better than they are."
