The Ariant Castle

Sitting on an island in the center of a large lake, the castle is reached by the one bridge that crosses the radius of the lake to the island. Large angel statues line the bridge, and half way down the bridge is a small balcony, a rest stop should you be walking, that over looks the water with delicate little benches and potted rose trees, all trimmed into perfect orbs. The bridge leads to the front court of the castle, tall trees rising around the yard as a shield for eyes. A grand stair case rises to the main doors into the castle, three tiers of steps until it hits the wide landing to the enormous, thick wooden doors.

Metal is twisted and carefully carved into whimsical swirls, all bolted into the wood and glittering in the sunlight. Once the doors are opened, white and gold marble floors sweep the ground, leading up another grand stair case at the end of a long hallway. The hallway contains small nooks where suits of armor, and angel statues sit in silence, guards placed in the spaces between. A long hall runner in deep blue runs down the center of the hallway and up the stairs. On either side of the stair case is a door leading to more hallways that weave throughout the castle. At the top of the stairs is a pair of large wooden doors, stained glass windows decorating the center with images of a clock face surrounded by pumpkin vines. Behind the doors lies a large ball room with multiple floors, balconies that lead out and overlook the central garden, and numerous chandeliers of glass and crystal. Pillars of white and gold marble sweep around the main dance floor, a large area. Just beyond the dance floor is a set of ten steps, a blue and gold runner rug leading up the steps to the two large, ornate thrones that look out over the room. Equal in size, the two thrones sit side by side, the cushions upholstered with blue velvet, the thrones themselves made of gold. The intricate design of the thrones is what draws the eyes the most, as the Kings throne is fairly simple, the gold twisting in into the shapes of delicate ivy to tangle along the back. The Queens throne, however, is wrapped from back to clawed feet in thick vines with broad leaves the size of cantaloupes, and small, five petaled flowers that have a slightly crinkled look about them; Pumpkin Vines. In honor of the former Queen Cinderella, after her death, the castle was decorated with certain elements that lead to her crowning in the first place; pumpkin vine designs, crystal chandeliers, white roses in the gardens, and a Ball that is held every five years to honor how she met the Prince.

Outside of the castle is the gardens; large and lavish gardens filled with roses, beautiful fountains, and perfectly kept stone paths, some shaded by large pergolas covered in various plants, flowers, vines, fruits, vegetables, so on. Scattered through out the gardens are small seating areas, stone gazebos with detailed pillars and domed tops dripping with colorful flowers such as wisteria, morning glories, and bleeding hearts. Everything is perfectly kept, trimmed, making this area one of the most popular in the castle.

Across the bridge, on land, are the stables, filled with prize winning, pure bred horses of all colors and size. Carriages with intricate designs of gold and deep blue, white and silver, white and gold, blue and silver, sit inside the stables in their own section behind the horses, each one ready to be hooked to a team and driven off.
