Okay so... the plot is actually getting good.
I didn't actually expect Varrick to be a badly actually, though in some ways I did.
Once Mako solves the case completely, hopefully he will finally have Lin's respect, though really she should already do so... Kinda odd the way she treats Mako to be honest. Maybe she wants to be extra hard on him.
Then there is... Korra. Well, I gotta be honest, the amnesia is unexpected, though glad she is on an island with Avatar followers. Obviously she is now in the Fire Nation, and we will see Zuko and his Firelord/lady daughter after the 2 part "Beginnings" with Avatar Wan.

Yay, my creepy vibe off Varrick is justified. Nice to know. xp War profiting. talk2hand The creep. And he's corrupted Bolin! Monster. Slimy, charming monster. And no wonder Korra'll talk to the first Avatar, how else to remember Avatar...ness. Though clearly she still remembers (air)bending. Muscle memory? XP And Bolin! Poor guy, fame's totally gone to his head! crying It's like their was no Korra, so the writers are like, 'Quick we need a jerk for a main focus and it can't be Mako, who else is there?' And Asami! How's she gonna get out of this deal? burning_eyes Though I guess if Mako actually does get Varrick arrested his controlling interest won't matter? And yeah, why is Lin so 'You know nothing, Mako. Go away and stop bothering me.'? Not wanting to show favoritism is the best guess I've got so far too. whee Who else thinks this is the best episode so far? blaugh

i'm in loved with the main plot, for instance we all could be thinking that the storyline revolves only around spirits but it's much much more than that. plus its confirmed that both unalaq and varrick are the main antagonists in this book. we can see that they both are fighting for power, two polars that are the same yet different in somewhat matters. basically what im implying is the main theme is about a cycle or rotation of energy achieving equilibrium, like the taoism symbol in the series, tu and la moving in a perpetual cycle. the symbol of the water tribe, even so im sad they didnt included that swampy water tribe.

Poor guys. From the way they act, I would've expected them to be calling the swampbenders barbarians, and not firebenders. But maybe that's cuz they were barbaric enough to attack a spiritual place? Or something. Old war hatred. whee I'm not sure I'm following you on the whole push and pull balance thing though. They're both power-hungry waterbenders. Where's the balance there? And no, no sarcasm, honest curiosity. Please explain more! 3nodding

Man, Bolin turned into a real creeper real fast. sad
Also not liking how Asami is throwing herself at Mako, and even though Mako clearly isn't over Korra, he say's that it's ok that Asami kissed him? Gah, just really not liking this episode right now.

Gah, just really not liking this episode right now. Yeah, except lots of shows do that whole 'I'm sad about my new ex, I'll throw myself at an older relationship' thing. Not just soap operas. Annoying, yes. To be expected? Unfortunately. whee Also: Though it would be better if it was, "No, I was buying cabbages" instead. xd

Gah, just really not liking this episode right now. I don't think she's intentionally throwing herself at him. He's the only one there for her in a time where she's having a hard time, the only one who still believes her company can be saved. She's still attracted to him and it's just a bonus that he and Korra aren't together anymore. My point is, she's in emotional turmoil and he's there for her. She may be seeing signals that aren't there but that doesn't mean she's throwing herself at him.
