In ages passed, the zodiac floated through their realm just barely a thread away from our own. They were once praised across the land as the divine, as the glorious. This praise went to their heads and they severed all ties with the gods of the lands and created their own realm. Soon after the creation of their own world, there came into being another. One created from the new veil, and thus they named her Veil. Veil became the spirit of the zodiac and was often forgotten even by them, as she had no true governing powers. Veil was not of the four elements, she was of the fifth and so had no place among the cycle of lives that the zodiac created.
Veil over the years harnessed her element and was, over time, able to read the general thought of gaians on the other side of the veil. She began to notice that gaia was forgetting the zodiac. Because of this she could also sense the zodiac members loosing their hold on their own world. For those not worshiped do not have the power to retain a veil of their own. She thought long and hard about this before trying to reach out to gaians in their dreams and get them to believe again. She was afraid of what might happen to her if the zodiac's veil broke. She feared she would cease to exist.
Though the strangest of things happened instead. The gaians began to believe in her. They believed in the Veil, and the invisible spirit that separated many lands, and many faces of reality. Thus she took it upon herself to begin construction of a magical school that she would invite gifted gaians to should the zodiac's veil truly break apart for good. I happened sooner than expected, however, and the school was not quite finished. Veil stood proud at the front gates as young gaians began to enter the school grounds. Every now and then her eyes would glance over to the unfinished section of the school. The 14th section, her section. She had decided to create the school with a section set aside for each of the 13 zodiacs and one for herself should she ever find any whom bore the spirit element within their core.
