I posted this thread up 'cause we started reading 'The Stand' by Stephan King for book club, and the guy may even come over to our school for a speech. whee And I was just thinking about his books recently (and how badly I want him to critique some of my writing T.T) and how well-written they are, the story, etc.

What do you guys think? Do you like his books? Do you hate them? Do you love whatever TV adaptions were made of his books? Do you stagger when you see how many pages his books contain? (Like, honestly, some of them are hella long. The uncut version of 'The Stand' has, like, 1400 pages. ._. But I actually don't mind :3) Let us discuss our poor little hearts away! emotion_kirakira

I've only finished reading 'The Dreamcatcher' in the past but... it was good. Really good. The character's deaths actually touched me in all the weirdest places (as awkwardly worded as that was ._.) and the story itself was super interesting. I had no problem with the way he wrote it, I just didn't understand some of it. cat_sweatdrop My bad.

I've only read The Stand up to page... 9? (I got the book yesterday, and I'm woefully behind :$ ). But I like that so far, too (though, once again, I have troubles understand some of the vocabulary ._.) The story really intrigues me. 3nodding
