Please Don't Stop the Music ♬ ♪ Casper raced on ahead of Han and Jade. Jade smiled as she thought of the music that had been playing in her head, all morning. She had been working on this new piece for weeks and no one had heard it, yet. She used to get nervous when she played for others. She got nervous for silly reasons, like she wouldn't be able to tell if someone was making faces at her and the thought always made her laugh. Now, she was unafraid to perform, at least in front of Han. Some of the instructors wanted her to put on some sort of musical performance, but she always declined. She wasn't quite ready to have that man eyes on her. She couldn't see them, but knowing that they were there, that was all that she would think about.
Jade let Casper lead her to the beautiful, grand piano. Her violin rested beside it and she wondered which would be better for this music. Everything sounded good on the piano but somethings just sounded better on the strings. Jade sat on the black piano bench. No one moved it, she knew, because no one ever came into the room to practice.
"I'm not sure which instrument to use, just yet," she said, quietly. "I think I will play it on piano first and maybe you can tell me if it would sound better on the violin."

Han followed Jade to the ballroom and smiled when he saw her violin next to the grand piano. It had been awhile since she played any music for him, but he always knew that eventually she would play again. He liked it when she played piano, but he loved it when she played violin. She was always more animated, you could tell if the song was sad or angry just by how she moved. She almost danced when she played violin and Han wished that she would. He had seen it before, on youtube. He also knew that she wasn't very fond of dancing. He could understand, she was blind.
"I'm going to be right here," he said as he pulled a folding chair, away from the wall and brought it near the bench. He had learned rather quickly to stay out of her way when she was playing. The bench was not for him. He took a seat and waited for Jade to begin. He knew that the sound of her playing would fill the hallway and he would be sure to not let anyone in far. She hated audiences, especially large ones. Most people didn't go near the ballroom though.. And you don't look back ⋙ ((Enter from Kitchen))

Please Don't Stop the Music ♬ ♪ Casper circled around the piano and found a cool spot, near Han, to lay down. He wore a look of anticipation as he had always seemed to enjoy it when Jade played her music.
Jade sat on the bench and took a moment to play the tune in her mind. Her fingers danced over the ivory keys, trying to find their starting position. She closed her eyes as if that would help her to see the music notes that played in her mind.
She pressed down on a key, but shook her head, deciding that the note was too sharp. Again, she pressed a different key and paused, wondering if it was, in fact, the right pitch. She took a moment to think and then she smiled and began to play a soft, flowing melody. Her long fingers took turns pressing the keys and she moved her body with enthusiasm as she played.

Han smiled and closed his eyes as he listened to Jade play. He loved watching her, but he loved the violin more. After a moment, he opened his eyes and watched as her hands danced, gracefully, across the black and ivory keys. Every movement struck a new chord and the sound was simply perfect.
The melody was soft and it flowed nicely. Jade seemed to flow with it. He wondered if she ever considered studying Tai Chi or other meditation exercises, but he wouldn't ask her now.
He tried his best to erase all of the thoughts from his mind and give Jade his undivided attention. That is what his 'little sister' deserved. They were not blood siblings, but when they grew in their powers together, he wasn't sure that blood mattered. Then he began to think of his own sister. Please Don't Stop the Music ♬ ♪ Jade continued to play as she felt the emotion in the room suddenly drop. She felt anxious, nervous...like she did when other people watched her. She took her hands off the piano and glanced towards the door. She couldn't see if someone was there but the feeling quickly passed, just as quickly as it had come. Jade wrinkled her brow in confusion and immediatly thought of Craig. She remembered that his powers could produce fear if they were not contained.
Jade turned her attention to Han.
"I could play for her," she said, knowing that he was thinking of his sister who was sick. "Maybe it would help...even just a little."
Her clouded eyes searched aimlessly for Han's face. Han was the one who had discovered that her music had the power to heal small things. Cuts, bruises, even some things that needed stitching. There weren't that many people who were getting hurt, so she couldn't really practice on larger wounds. She hoped that she could take away sickness, but there were some things that even she knew she couldn't change. She couldn't heal her eyes. She had tried so hard to see again, but it was just not in the cards. She hoped that it was in the cards for Han's sister, to be healed, to live.

He was disappointed in himself for letting his thoughts take away from the task of listening to Jade play the piece that she had obviously been working on, for some time. However, he was touched by Jade's words and a small smile crossed his lips.
"Ever the optimist," he said with sadness in his voice. "The doctors don't know what is wrong with her, besides the fact that she isn't getting better. You get worn out when you heal stab wounds our bullet wounds...no, I think that it is not your place to heal her. Thanks for the thoughts, though."
He was quiet for a minute, listening to the crude loneliness that came when Jade wasn't playing. "I'm sorry, Jade, I did enjoy your song," he admitted. "I have just been thinking about her. Would you play a happy tune?"
