Final Fantasy Nova


The continent of Spira is well known for the tales of a young summoner named Yuna defeating Sin with her guardians, however this story is different. There is no Yuna, Tidus, not even our dear friend Wakka. In fact this is a parallel universe (cause that hasn't been thought of before). In this world, Spira has been plagued with Sin for a thousand years, the same as the other. However, there are a few things twisted around.

There has not been a calm in over fifty years. The reason for this is unknown, but it has to do with summoners vanishing at random points in their pilgrimages. None of their guardians have been found either. Some people believe the Al Bhed are responsible for this and have been relentlessly battering them with insults and false accusations. The Al Bhed have no involvement in these disappearances. Since the beginning of Sin, there has been a group of people known as Nova, a cult who praise Sin as a god. Nova has been an under ground cult that none knew very little about. What they don't know is that since they began in the time of Yunalesca, their numbers have grown to an astonishing amount. What is evennworse is their group not only has mages and warriors, but summoners as well. The leader of the cult is also a summoner, who is also the one and only person to control the Final Aeon. Their ambition is unclear, but more and more people are reporting seeing hooded figures abscond with people. The crusaders have done little about this. However, a recent threat to attack Bevelle has gotten the Maesters riled up, and security of Bevelle is now tighter than it has ever been.

_____ and _____, two best friends/lovers, have grown up together since birth, and decided to end the fifty years of Sin's reign. One became a summoner while the other became a guardian. They know the sacrifice that will be made, but the peace of Spira is more important than individual lives, even if it is their bestfriends. What the two don't know is they will be thrown into chaos. Between the pilgrimage, Sin, and what they believe is the road to their deaths, they will be thrown into death and war. Their faith in Yevon, their will to go on, and their friendship will be tested.



Okay so a couple of things. The world is just like that from the game. The Al Bhed are hated, machina is forbidden, Yunalesca exists for the sake of the final aeon, the aeons are the same, the teams for blitzball are the same (not the people just the team names), and the fiends are the same.

There are different things as well, many. None of the people are the same save for Yunalesca and Yu Yevon. Weapons can be whatever you want (bows, tonfas, etc.). The Maesters are all human and none are the same as the game. The ship will not be used (we will discuss this). Nova uses "ancient magic" which allows them to summon fiends, teleport, and call Sin if they so choose, but only they can do it. I am sure I am forgetting some but we can discuss it later.

As for me and my rules and such. I am semi lit, I can give about two decent paragraphs of about 5-8 sentences each. I would prefer semi-lit but if you want to be an over achiever, be my guest. I want to discuss how the story goes through PM so we are on the same page and not throwing piles of "who-knows-what" at each others faces. With that, I only want to do this in threads because the messaging will get very messy. I am not picky on your characters. If you want to swear every other sentence that's fine, however I will not and I doubt the story would advance if you do. I would love romance in this roleplay, but I do not do Yaoi, so if it is two guy characters it will be a bromance kinda thing.
