What's the silliest, hardest, or most immersive challenge run you've ever done?

I'll start: Once, I played a monk. I used nothing but melee, consumed nothing but water, and kept my Karma squarely neutral. I wasn't about to get involved in other conflicts.

Everything with the name 'Combat' in it.
Combat Helmet, Combat Knife, Combat Armor...
Gave myself either Hunting Rifle, or Assault Rifle.
Only 15 stimpacks at one time, 5 bottles of whatever, and 150 rounds of ammunition.

I didnt last long at level 20ish....having everything beefed up...but my Luck would always save me with the Stranger and those random crits~

I spent almost all my normal gameplay with the damn thing anyway~ xD
I would romp the D.C. Mall area with it, killing everyone in range...Mutant or Talon Company...

Plus i wanted to feel less OP, since guns was always near 100 for every character.

100 Guns?!
For my first five or so complete runs, I hadn't even considered putting things into weapons skills. It's embarassing, but for the longest time I didn't make the connection between gun skill and weapon stability in NV... and it just didn't seem as important in 3, where you could aim pretty well without buffing your Small Guns.
I've only played a handful of physical-based characters in my life. One of them, I rocked the gatling laser. That was my mowing-down-mutants weapon cat_rofl

100 Guns?! YOU TOTALLY MEANT SMALL GUNS, BECAUSE YOU ONLY REMEMBER HOW COOL NEW VEGAS WAS...right?

I always needed to get my weapons up, since I never had enough defense to take hits, since my strength was never above 6 on just about any character I could work with.
So being able to kill things from a distance before it got close to me was how i survived.
Speech and Barter were at 100, first thing. Then lockpick....I always got stuck, or KNEW I always had that desire to manipulate to get anything, or I just wanted to keep my caps in my pocket.

Unless my strength was up to 10, I never devoted to melee combat, it felt really awkward to me anyway.

My sort of default build is STR4 PER5 END4 CHA7 INT8 AGL5 LCK7
with Medicine, Speech, and either Lockpick or Science. Sneak is usually important, but it's something I build as I level. I absolutely love to roleplay the Wanderer/Courier's growth from Vault Dweeb to hardass. So I try not to tag any weapons skills from the start.

I usually keep my END and STR at 5 to keep things as average as possible, so my health, or carry weight wont be my downfall. Luck is usually at 7, or 6, if i feel the need to have higher AGL for my gunslinger ~

Gunslinger, you say. Tell me about it?

High CHA makes for some stupidly buffed companions... Charon is mai waifu cat_xd (I am funny.)
I like a 5 or 6 in AGL, because I like to run a Wasteland Doctor build, and you have to have steady hands but not the reflexes of a mongoose.

I've never done a challenge run. Any suggestions?

Medicine was needed for Fallout 3, since I would end up with over 100 stimpacks... (Which made me feel kinda OP when I put them on the D-Pad...)

ANYWAY.
GUNSLINGER USUALLY means that I always have a high-value one-handed weapon. . . Usually a special pistol that I feel will work with the situation, 10mm when i realized ive hoarded over 9000 rounds of it....357 or .44 when i feel like romping through the D.C. mall area...
AGL allows me to draw faster, and I think reload faster too....running and sneak improve too, so almost all parts of my favorite traits are enhanced with AGL~

In NV, I use a modded .357 (cylinder and long barrel) for light targets, and the Hunting Revolver/Sequoia (45-70 Gov'mt') one for actual HUNTING.

I was NEVER short of bullets in any Fallout, with and without the perk..and MF cells were always around too...but E-Weapons didnt wow me.

I've never done a challenge run. Any suggestions?

-Only water and nukacola for healing, no stimpacks.
-Realistic carry of ammunition, so no more than 5 clips at a time. (I think the weight mod can be put on to make it tougher)
-Low defense armor/no power armor.
-All kills must be finished with a melee (so you can mini-gun that mutie, but you MUST deliver the final blow with a punch or something)
-No more than 1000 caps can be on your person, so spend them at the store if you go over.
-Flip a coin for everyone (friendly) you meet, tails means you must kill them...(unless its someone who cant die, obviously)
-Only one gun at a time.

A good one would be like this one http://www.vgunetwork.com/topic/15577-fallout-3-challenge-capital-wasteland-survivor/

Assuming you haven't done the no-kill run, that's a great one to start with. It really changes the way you play the game.

Also there's a run where you ONLY use one weapon, no excuses. So it makes it harder to scavenge ammo.

Did you ever use That Gun or the Mysterious Magnum? I always use That Gun as my secondary.

That Gun felt...weak, in my hands, even at level 50, I liked that it used 5.56...but I just couldnt see myself using THAT Gun over the other things I've grown fond with...

I LOVED the M-Magnum! Havin the little rif play each time I would draw~? And that last little twang when it went holstered....PERFECT~

I romped around the desert with it, till i brought it down to almost broken CND...
