I love listening to music when I'm doing crafts. I listen to Linkin Park, Imagine Dragons, and Muse. I know that's not all, but it's all I can think of right now. lol. I like fast paced music. It gets my fingers going.
I also watch tv/movies too but usually not until it's late at night.

What bands? Well, my playlist has a lot of Jackson Browne... looking at it, I've also got a fair number of tracks from Matchbox Twenty (guilty pleasure, I know), Sublime, Red Hot Chili Peppers, some Train, U2, Jimmy Buffett, Tom Petty, P!nk... my sister's a pretty talented musician, sometimes I throw a few of hers into the mix, too (I like her rendition of "Eat the Meek" a little better than NoFX's, actually, but don't tell her that!).
Or I'll put on some orchestral soundtrack score -- Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter... been on a Doctor Who kick lately; found a 40-minute-long medley of tracks from seasons 5 and 6 on YouTube, which also works great as a "right, I'll get a good half-hour, forty-five minutes in here and then (insert arbitrary household task)" timer. xd

Not usually music, I prefer TV or movies while I crochet. I have a 20 minute drive to one job and a 30 minute drive to the other so if I added in any more music listening time, I'd be sick of just about everything on the planet in a week blaugh

Oh, the other thing I like is to listen to audiobooks while I crochet. I get them free through my library and can download them onto my iPad/iPod or computer.

When music is on it is country. Otherwise the television or an audio book is on.

Oh, Geez!
I always listen to music when I am working on a project, usually because I hate silence.
I usually put my itunes on shuffle and go at it. I have everything from oldies, country, rock, pop, hip-hop...I like Indie, instrumental, Shinedown, Rise Against, Nero, Rascal Flatts, Martina McBride, Sound tracks...I'm not usually too picky.

Depends on what I'm allowed to do. I usually crochet while my kids are napping. If I listen to music it's either StainD or Seether low. They are my current fix. I might even turn the tv on to something I'm not really interested just for the noise. Don't get me wrong I love the silence, but it has become very suspicious...

I Have ADD so I can't stand to watch TV or listen to music without something to do with my hands, so I crochet. As for what music I listen to, I will listen to anything from the 1940's to now, any genre, as long as the lyrics speak me

Whether or not I listen to music depends on my electric bill lol. My preferred setting for crochet is having the tv on and playing something educational like an awesome documentary or Mythbusters; or playing a tv show like Stargate, Dr.Who, Once Upon a Time, etc... If it looks like my power bill is heading towards the $200 range, I start cutting back on my electricity use severely so instead of crocheting to the tv, I'll stream internet radio on my laptop and only plug it in when the battery is dying. I don't stream TV because the bigger files and video display eat through the battery life so I'd have to plug in more often.

Sometimes, although I just as often listen to talk or comedy radio. Not real comfortable with silence, so as long as some noise is happening, I'm good. I'll also crochet while "watching" my husband play video games. It's great for giving my fingers sporadic, quick breaks.

I mainly listen to Goldfish, Caravan Palace and Daft Punk. Gotta love techno-ey beats. razz I rarely listen to anything slow-paced when I craft things.

Most of the time I listen to fast pace hard beat music. Right now I'm jamming to Nickelback Dark Horse cd while I'm making a spiral beanie.. or a candy cane beanie.
Sometimes I watch TV catching up on my shows but I found it is hard to count stitches. I always miss something going on in the show.
