The Great Fairies The Fairies are a mysterious race with a command of magic. They are fickle creatures, but are far from malicious. This is most seen in their harmless, even helpful relationship with the Kokiri. Though this relationship goes back thousands of years, possibly attributed to the Great Deku. Though, outside their immortal allies, they have been known to create friendships with certain mortals from outside the forests for reasons specific to each. Legend has it that they were at one time servants of the Light Spirits, who grew into a power of their own.
These creatures are lead by Great Fairies, who take a form much more recognisably human. There are many legends of them sending heroes on quests in order to obtain aid from these fickle beings of magic and light. If encountered, extreme respect is warranted, because few people have ever even encountered a fairy, let alone a Great Fairy.

The Goddesses The Goddesses, are near omnipotent beings who are credited with the creation of Hyrule and it's greatest artifact, the Triforce. Each goddess imbued part of their power into it, creating the artifact. Each one gave a specific gift to the world. Din, the Goddess of Power, created the lands, as well as the Triforce of Power. Nayru, the Goddess of Wisdom, created the fundamental laws which all creatures live by, gifting the triforce of wisdom to the first Princess of the Hylians, Zelda. To be passed forever down her heirs. That is, until the catastrophe. Finally, Farore, the Goddess of Courage created all forms of life to live upon the land. She left behind the Triforce of Courage, to bless it's weilder with valor unmatched.
Now, with the Triforce destroyed and scattered to possibly worthy weilders, the power of the Goddesses comes into question. People cry out in prayer, but it seems their only way of intervening was through the now fractured Triforce.

The Light Spirits The Light Spirits are the four spirits that watch over each of the four different provinces of Hyrule. They guard the provinces of Ordona, Faron, Eldin, and Lanayru. Originally under the ideal of protecting the triforce, they have been forced to make their own way with the artifact shattered. In order to defend the land, the spirits have elevated champions to fight for the cause of the light. Whoever visits their shrines and are found worthy will be blessed with the power of the light, as well as a signal of the specific spirit's power. The Spirits are Ordona the Goat, Faron the Monkey, Eldin the Owl, and Lanaryu the Serpent.

The Dark Interlopers The Dark Interlopers are a shadowy, powerful group of twilight magic wielders. Though very little is known about their goals, they seem to be after the Fused Shadows, mythical items of great power, almost like an antithesis to the well known Triforce of Hyrule. In the past centuries, their name descended into myth. They have only resurfaced with the dissappearance of Link, Zelda, and Ganondorf. Some sages believe that they may be the reason for the dissappearance, but such conjecture means little without evidence.
