Background History: Since young, poor Evangeline never understood the real term family. All her life, she was alone, only to watch her youngest brother, Evan steal her spotlight and warm love. At the age of sixteen, she started growing into weird habits of watching people through dangerous heights (like trees or a stranger's roof) and actually mumbling to herself. Because her family had been one of the few and rarest wealthy owners inside her small hometown Dermis, no farmer or worker said a word. They only stayed silent until the demon moon appeared. It's been a type of legend between folks since they could last remember. Through generations they spoke of hell's monsters crawling the earth in a hunger frenzy for human flesh. Ironically, many people have vanished every demon moon when demons appear. The repellent to repel this monstrosity though was as Moses did before them, put red paint over their home to ware off evil.
With the wealthy, they dared not do a single thing. They only figured it was a silly superstition, just as Evangeline's family had. One day, at her eighteen birthday, the demon moon had appeared out of nowhere. People could be heard in the background scurrying for their homes. Little did Evangeline know that this would change her life forever. At her parent's poor attention to her, did she escape inside the lonely forest, curiosity at its peak when the earth rumbled and screeches could be heard.
The story can go anywhere at this point. It's been almost a century since that fateful day and Evangeline can only think back with the same loneliness the trees swallowed her in. Instead of having her flesh eaten, her life force had regenerated into something spectacular beyond one's imagination. Just as hell's monsters, she was a demon only to be left on earth for so long that she's forgotten her true age and fragments of her old life.
As of today, life is nothing more than thin air and an air she's use to breathing. Her family died many years ago and her servants and other workers with them. Through these newly changed times, she is still stranded inside the barricaded trees that engulfed her, hoping for something like the curiosity that brought her to her new aspect.
