Event Suggestion Thread
Guild events are for everyone and we want everyone to enjoy them; so, the best way of guaranteeing that is to take suggestions from the member base. Don't be insulted if we don't implement your event, we can't take on every suggestion in fear of taking away from the main areas of the guild. But we would like you to have your say on any event or any way to make events better.

This is just a potential idea for a bit of a mini-event, should we ever get that Shining Knight legacy, and I get Lance done and someone adopts the villainous scoundrel.
With Evie, Lance, and Shining Knight, we would have a trio of knights, all with ties to King Arthur, Merlin, and the Knights of the Round Table. Now, I somewhat intend for Lance to be a big character, and as stated in profile, he is the Mordred to Evie's Arthur. He's building his alliances, strengthening himself, finding ways to bring Evie to her knees in any way that he can. However, rather than being hell-bent on killing her, he has other intentions....
Evie is scared and confused. Who is this Lance, and what does he want with her? Merlin is telling her that she needs to find an ally, one who's own integrity and strength will keep her from straying from her path of chivalry and sinking into the darkness. She doesn't know who he means, or how she's supposed to win this seemingly futile battle. Slowly, the self-doubt wears away at her resistance....
The original Shining Knight was actually part of the Round Table, so he probably would have sworn fealty to Evie, seeing as she is King Arthur's heir, and wields Excalibur. Whether the legacy of the Shining Knight would do that, we don't know. But they would no doubt be good friends, and very close comrades. As such, he or she would likely want to help Evie in her fight against Lance. Perhaps this is that person Merlin spoke of...?
I don't know, a Merlin's Prophecy sort of thing? This probably sounds weird as hell, I'm sorry.

That sounds good for the three of you but for the guild, it doesn't seem right. Events are usually whole guild things like Reign of Fear if that takes off where pretty much every single RPC is involved somehow.

I am making John Constantine Legacy so technically I could assist with finding out said Merlin prophecy. However we would need more magical people as well as some people with more ties to other non magical Justice Leaguers sort of how Green Arrow hung out with a Galahad kinda guy in the Star City Forests.
So something that really brings in the everyone else's attention. That threatens more than just a few people but the whole world.
Edit: Ya a war for the Holy Grail or you can pull an existing DC magical Item like the Book of Magic. It had been known to do some crazy things.

Awesome did not know that. (Still trying to catch up on all the characters and stuff)
But that is actually perfect then. Have some sort of magical disturbance that pulls in the Three knights the magical users amongst the guild start feeling things going on. Then go to friends and people get pulled into it. So it could grow into a guild wide thing.

If we look at how the Reign of Fear Event works first, we'll begin designing the event. I already have quite a good idea if we use a magical source too. Something old yet familiar to us all because remember the Guardians of the Universe don't like magic either. So, my GL could be on the scene sooner than one might think. But let's see how the current format works. biggrin

Okay, how many villains do we have that run some sort of business or major organization? I know that there's my character, Ace Adrienne, and Ivory Armstrong's character, Sofia Uzzell. There's also Lex Luthor, though he hasn't been "claimed" yet, so to speak, and probably others that I don't know about. Either way, each of them has significant influence and power in the public eye and in the business world, which is enough to create a few problems for heroes, even without their powers (if they have them). If they were to all band together and pool their efforts to bring the heroes down, it could spell catastrophe for our caped crusaders. They could place a few subliminal messages in the TV and radio commercials for their products, in the music they play at the clubs, and so on. Ace has quite the knowledge on how an average person's mind works and how to manipulate it, thanks to his abilities, so he would be an immense help in accomplishing this subtly. Someone could have the scientists at their company (or they could do it themselves) create a device that emits an inaudible frequency over long distances that makes people more susceptible to suggestion (or more paranoid and suspicious, either one could potentially work). Right after a hero does some huge thing, like beat up a tough baddie in public, one of them would get interviewed (because they just happened to be there) and they would say something like, "oh, so-and-so is such a powerful being, it's a good thing that he/she is on our side", which would make the public wonder... What if the heroes did turn bad? Thus begins the paranoia. The villains would coordinate to create a web of mind control, and turn the public against the heroes. Of course, the heroes are unaffected, because they know that they would never turn to the dark side, and they know each other. (Unless we decide that a few hero vs hero fights would spice things up, make the event better or something.) The heroes have to band together, figure out what's going on, and somehow put a stop to it.
This one could DEFINITELY include everyone in one way or another.

*Has Demolition Man Flashback* Corporation Wars... Taco Bell... Every Restaurant becoming Taco Bell... Sorry. Sorry. Ummmm, yeah it could work, a very used storyline, it's reminiscent of the Marvel Civil War storyline and the Public Enemies jeopardy.
