☼ Getting Personal… ❧ [ Personality… ] Jon is a kind but distant man. As an inn keeper he is always inviting and friendly. Inside the inn, a fire is always lit, food is never far away, and a warm bed is ready at the beck and call. He can be a bit slow moving around but somehow that has never stopped him from keeping the inn clean and enjoyable. The few close friends he has, know that he is actually very quiet when he can be, and often looks as though he is somewhere else.
❧ [ Appearance… ] Jon seems very world weary for a man of thirty and, with all of the things he has done and seen, he looks much older as well. Bags under the eyes and a few grey hairs paint a picture of a man who broken a long time ago. Outside of that he stands at 5' 9", about 135 pounds,with brownish grey hair, and tanned skin. He was injured from his time away from the civilized world and now needs a cane to walk. He normally wears nice clothes; a shirt and tie as a minimum.
❧ [ My story Goes a Little like this…. ]
Jon had a lot of adventures when he was younger. On his last one he disappeared for almost a year. When he did show up again, he was badly injured, and not the same man he was before.
Jon had never even heard of Glendale until he was twenty seven. He was in a hospital going through a magazine when he saw a charming little picture of a little village in a beautiful valley. On the bottom it was titled by its photographer, The Paradise of Glendale. Well, Jon was looking for a comfortable place to spend out the next few years and this seemed to fit the bill. Once he was as recovered as he could be he left for the potential Eden on the next outbound train.
When he arrived it was much to Jon's surprise that they did not have an Inn for him to stay in. Apparently, tourists were very rare in Glendale and they very rarely had the need for one. Fortunately for him, Jon still had plenty of the family money so he rented out a space above one of the stores for a while. During his short time there Jon had already begun to fall in love with the sleepy little town. In the mornings he would go for swims (the only real exercise he could do in his condition) and in the afternoons he would spend time with the villagers at the Café or in the fields. So after a brief two weeks Jon decided he would settle down there and build an Tavern and Inn using his inheritance.
He found the ideal building just on the edge of town. It was an old, run down manor home. So run down in fact that they recommend he tear it down and build a new foundation. But, to Jon, it didn't quite seem right. The old home seemed to have history and character. So instead he spent, and still continues to spend, a ton of time and money to have the place restored.
Three years later Jon still lives in the building. He occupies the only downstairs room, just off the side of the restaurant, as stairs present a challenge for his leg. He is active in the community and is well liked and respected by the villagers. When ever possible he throws events, and often encourages others to do the same at the Inn. Outside of that, he enjoys seafood, swimming, and his pet cat named Tequila.
