I recently went back to school. Busier than ever now. Huzzah. Body is feeling the exhaustion. People are so weird though. I can't draw on my free time in class without getting a million comments. It's like PLEASE shhh so I can focus. Yes it's good art thank you now go. Art is sooo overdue in this guild. Can't read manga either in class also without said comments. It's treated like an alien artifact. It gets old so fast. How am I suppose to catch up on Naruto? emotion_donotwant So far behind. especially since I put Doctor Who ahead of it. ahem ahem. I think someone thought my flute case was a weapon case. They were all "what the ******** is that case and why do you have it?" I was very upset. Like calm down I swear it wont hurt you. I'm in band. Other than that school is pretty okay so far. Is there anything you did in school that got you weird/unwanted comments? Or treated differently? Just anything that annoyed you? Let's all relate together emotion_kirakira

I teach infants, so uh, I'm on the other side of that. Luckily all we have to worry in regards to bullies is the eleven month old that learned wrestling from an older sibling. xd
Most of the time they get along great, I noticed that it's not until they hit the preschool room that they start going into separate groups.

I don't know. I was sort of the loner and kept to myself but when bullied, I would be the one to fight back and often got into trouble a lot. In High School, I often went out with one of my best friends and either stay out all night or go to different places with him (school nights it would be more local and not out as late. When there were no classes, we went to the beach, varies group trips that we often wandered off alone together that spread a bunch of rumors about us, to China town, etc.....)
I hated school and most of the people and try not to think about it really. I am not currently in any classes and debating on what to do in life in general. I did well for the most part though and one of my essays even won me a trip to NASA and I got to be second chair first flute the very first time I tried out for honor band (and had been playing for less than a year at the time).
I sort of halfass my way in everything. I kept to myself and daydreaming or hung out with a group that was considered the misfits.
Most of my closest friends were guys and when I was younger, it wasn't unsual to even bath with them or share the same bed. I had a harder time with the girls. I felt more awkward around them and hard to relate to, most of the bullies were the girls. Well some of the worse bullies anyways.

I was bullied in school until I stopped giving a ********, which took not very long.
Most kids who get bullied or are loners tend to do it to themselves. When you become a teacher and stuff, you often notice the kids that choose to alienate themselves and then get mad when people don't 'get them'.
The key is to remember that none of what you experience in school matters at all after you graduate. Not even a little. All that social junk is a joke.

As for who I was in high school, I was totally that above-the-castes kid.
The "cool kids" thought I was a godawful reject, and ignored me.
Most other kids thought I was sort of enigmatic, maybe?
Idno.
I pretty much ran all the nerdy shiznit on campus, from Anime Club to whatever else.

We had anime club for one year. But it didn't continue. I was sad not to see it at the Club fair. I don't like high school though. As you said, the social junk is a joke. cool kids are just assholes, everybody has the mentally that they are better than everyone else. I think what made me mad at high school the most was their perception of college was so far off the radar, I was not prepared for it. I just care about the academics and the small group of friends I do have heart I'm very far from being a social butterfly 8D I'm very guilty of excluding (alienating) myself from everyone else. That's just because most people in school are jerks. I have no intention of being with any of them in the future so why care to get to know them now? Some kid tried to yell at me for not doing the pledge of allegiance the other day. Because apparently different religious beliefs don't exist and I'm American I'm suppose to do it. I have no problem separating myself.

Editing this post.
Ummm, no offense, but not everyone brings it on themselves. The bullies I dealt with didn't just do a little name calling at school, they actually physically harassed me and even spilled over to outside of the school (one point I had to make a report about death threats) and one girl had the problem even worse. We knew each other, so it wasn't just some strangers we wouldn't see. Not like I asked for it or didn't do something about it (fighting got me into trouble, ignoring them didn't make them stop and reporting it did nothing).
Maybe you meant well but not everyone is the same and not every situation is going to be the same. there are a lot of factors that goes into it.
Also I feel people have every right to feel mad for being alienated when they do try to make an effort and it doesn't help them (we all have emotions and we all want and deserve to be noticed. People by nature are social creatures but times it isn't always so easy). Unfortunately the world can be a very unfair and even unsafe place at times.
