~Red Forest~ This mountainous area has many cliffs, and is covered by a forest of red-leafed trees, allowing the whole area to appear as a dust- red color. A railway track cuts through it, upon which a train travels. The area is populated with the Grimm.

Cole had ran quite a long way from the academy. At least he knew there wouldn't be anyone out here to bother him. The last thing he needed was to be questioned by some idiot... He sighed and pulled out his weapon, using the sword form and swiped at a tree, cutting it down. He wasn't exactly happy... But Cole wasn't really angry...he just needed to do something to let out some emotions. Then the droids showed up. Three of them. Cole didn't waste any time destroying them, leaving the chopped up pieces on the ground as he kept walking.

Miranda had to ask several students outside the academy just to find out the direction in which Cole had gone. Who knew that that useless partner of hers could run off that far?? She thought back to Brad, her new team mate, and relaxed slightly. He looked to be reliable, or at least much more so than Cole. Finally arriving at the Red Forest, where she hoped to find him, she slowed down to observe her surroundings for any clues. It would be unlikely for her to find anyone to ask if they had seen her partner. "Where did that guy go..." Miranda muttered in annoyance under her breath. Spotting a trail of chopped up droid pieces, she followed swiftly, thinking it must be Cole. Who else would be in the Red Forest anyways??? "Cole???" she called out to him, being wary of any monsters that may appear.

Cole sighed, hearing his 'partner' was in pursuit. "Why don't you go back to the academy so you can stare at our new partner some more!" He yelled back at her before disappearing into the thicker part of the forest. In reality he had ducked behind the second tree he ran past, but how would she know that?

Miranda blinked as Cole shouted back at her, quickening her pace. "Wha... What are you talking about?!?!" she yelled. How would he have known about that anyways?? Hadn't he already left at that time???? She blushed slightly, thinking about how she had been staring... Well, not really... She was just... Miranda shook her head, willing herself not to think too much about it. "Cole!!!" she exclaimed when he disappeared from sight, slowing to a stop. She sighed, looking around, lost in the forest now. "...I need you Cole..." Miranda said quietly, hoping that he hadn't actually just run off and left her alone again.

"Its obvious you don't like me at all really and you would feel better off if you hadn't met me so go. We may be partners but there are no rules that show we have to be together, so go."

Miranda couldn't deny the fact that what Cole said was true for the most part. She really did mostly just need him in order to have a full team. However, she wasn't sure that she would be better off if she hadn't met him. Would she then be where she was right now? "...I'm not going," Miranda said resolutely, "I'm not going without you." She looked down as Cole revealed himself to her. "But I do like you... And I want you to be with me..." She pursed her lips and looked back to him, blaming how she was feeling all weird inside on Cole. "...You just don't want to cooperate, right, Cole??" she said accusingly, "what are you trying to achieve from this?!?!"

Miranda could tell that Cole was upset about this. Why the heck did he like her anyways??? It wasn't as though she was ever really nice to him... Did that make him a masochist?? But she really did need him to go back with her to the academy.. How would she convince him that she liked him??? She sighed and looked down. "I'm not trying to turn this on you..." she said as she walked over to him, taking advantage of this time when he had his head lowered and wasn't really paying attention to her. Miranda took a deep breath in and took Cole by the hands, pulling him close to her and kissing him. "...I like you..." Would that be enough for him yet??

Miranda stopped, startled by seeing Cole being on the verge of tears. Weren't men not supposed to let people see them cry??? "I-I'm not!!" she protested, trying to convince both herself and him at the same time. Did she really like him??? If she did, what was with the way she was with their other team mate? "I like you, Cole!!!" Miranda said, not letting go his hands. She wasn't even sure whether she was lying or telling the truth anymore. "What do you need me to do to prove that to you??" she asked, looking him in the eye.

We'll go if you really insist that we do..." She offered him a tentative smile and hesitantly wrapped her arms around him. "I really do like you Cole..." Miranda mumbled into his chest, quickly letting go before he could start tearing up again. She didn't want to see her partner like that...

Miranda felt a pang of guilt hit her. She closed her eyes as Cole held her, imagining for a split second that it was not him but Brad. Why... She didn't want to hurt her partner again though... "...It's fine..." she said, relaxing as she leaned against his chest, listening to his steady heartbeat that always seemed to calm her. Maybe she ought to try to seriously like him now then. "Don't leave me..." Miranda said, looking up at Cole, "okay??"
