Personality: Shun grew up like many children in Rukongai, Parent-less, and scorned by many. Hard living such as that breeds hard problems. He developed a severe, and untreatable case of Insomnia, causing him to stay awake for days on end.Despite his lack of sleep, he learned to function while at the brink of exhaustion, and was always a kind hearted and caring individual, always looking to take care of others. As lieutenant, he utilizes his inability to sleep to get work done, thus trying to give his over worked squad an edge over their normal duties, and he often takes tasks from his subordinates so that they can focus their efforts on more vital projects. He is not afraid to get down and dirty, and has developed a reputation for taking any dirty job that comes along. In Social interactions, he is polite, when he is not spacing out as exhaustion removes his focus.

Background: A child like many in the rukon districts, an orphan with a rather unusual disposition to help any who needed it. He spent many long sleepless nights looking after other children who had been hurt, or had fallen ill. Without medical supplies, and a source of clean water, he knew most of the children in his care would not last long, so he began doing tasks for any merchant who had an errand that needed to be run, just to make the money to take care of the injured and sick. his lifestyle led to the onset of a particularly nasty case of insomnia, that worsened as he aged, and now causes him to go for days without sleep, until he eventually collapses. His entrance to the higher class of life that was the Seireitei came all the sooner when the child of a noble family was playing in the streets of the Rukongai, and was injured in a subsequent Hollow attack. Unable to watch the girl bleed to death, he risked his own life to get her away from the attacking hollows, and into the safety of a nearby building. There while the threat still loomed, he cleaned the girls wounds, applied sutures, and dressed the wound as best as he could. When the soul reapers came to deal with the invaders, he turned the girl over to them, all the while explaining that though she had been treated, she still needed to be seen by a proper doctor, less the wound become life threatening once more.
Thanks never came for nigh on twenty years, till the girl he had saved sought him out, and offered to get him into the Shinou academy where he could hone his abilities, as well as learn others to help defend and take care of the people he always looked out for. He could not deny that chance, and thus began the path of a soul reaper. In the academy, he learned as much as he could about treating every possible illness and injury, and when he graduated, he was immediately taken in to the fold of Squad four. There, his inability to sleep led to a large amount of work being completed ahead of schedule, and though pleased with his work, the captain offered to try and remove his insomnia. He accepted, but the attempt failed, and Shun simply shrugged it off, as he had lived with the issue for so long it had become normal. His work continued to help keep the squad on top of their tasks, and this eventually led to his promotion to lieutenant, where he still works just as hard as he always has.

Description: Myaku Souhou is the archetype of using a zanpakuto to channel ones own reiatsu into ones touch, leaving the user unburdened by a physical weapon, and able to move freely and unfettered . Myaku Souhou is a strictly unarmed hand to hand weapon when in its released state.
Abilities: - Path of Destruction: This stance utilizes reiatsu in an agressive manner, by sending a pulse of reiatsu into nerve clusters upon hit, overloading them and causing immense pain. This Stance comes with the negative effects of relying solely on the user's hand to hand skills, as it provides absolutely no forms of defence against weapons. Once this form is utilized, the Path of Healing cannot be used until the zanpakuto is sealed, and released once more. Path of Destruction is a last resort, and is only used as such, when there is no other way but to fight.
-Path of Healing: Utilizing reiatsu and gentle hands, the path of healing turns Shun into a battlefield medical station. The pulse of reiatsu given off in this stance promotes cellular regeneration, and ebbs away the pain of injuries. Healing can take anywhere from a minute, to an hour, depending on the wound's severity, and the more serious the wounds healed, the more reiatsu is drained, up to a cut off point, where the zanpakuto seals itself to prevent the user from expending their life force.
