I found a local one called Knittin' Pretty and I loooove it. I go in at least once a week to sit and chat and talk about my projects. We also talk crazy amounts about other things like guys, kids, books, and various other nerdy things.

I don't get out much in my small town, but the town over has a Hobby Lobby and boy! I can stay there all day! They have EVERYTHING, from yarn to woodworking to clay supplies, to paints and vases and flowers and holiday decorations! Amazing selection of everything there! ^o^

Sadly I don't have a small town yarn store, even though I live in a small tow. When I get the chance I go to every thrift store I can find and purchase their yarn and every craft supplies they have. I am not a hoarder by no means, I just love to get new crafting stuff even if it did belong to someone else. LOL
My store currently is Wal-Mart :/

Amazing selection of everything there! ^o^ I enjoy Hobby Lobby but I prefer Joanns, mostly a political thing. I live in a fairly big town so we have a Joanns, Michaels, and Hobby Lobby all right next to each other. Plus several more not too far away, within 30 minutes. I love the locally owned store where I can just go in and chat with other crafters.

I try to only buy fabric, yarn, and other crafts when I have a specific craft in mind. Right now I am making a TARDIS dress and a TARDIS fez for a cosplay for Doctor Who. But I also got a gift certificate to the yarn shop so I got to buy four skeins and a new set of interchangeable needles.

I have never used interchangeable needles before. Are they hard to work with?

Not any different than fixed circular knitting needles. I prefer them actually because sometimes I get a few rows in and realize my cord isn't long enough so I like being able to transfer it in to another length. I use Knitter's Pride Dreamz and love them.

Well since you gave a good referral I might try out the interchangeable crochet needles. Might be easier to keep up with lol

Even though I work at a Michaels, I have to say the Ben Franklins that we have is better most of the time when it comes to yarn. It always feels like they carry much more.

Located in teeny tiny Gainesville, Florida, there is a store hidden in a teeny tiny little corner right on U.S. 441 (known locally as 13th St.) that specializes in nothing but yarn and has been in business for 20 something years. Every single time I walk into that store, I feel like I'm walking into Willy Wonka's factory. None of the yarn they sell is commercially available like Red Heart or Lion's Brand or anything like that. They sell high-end, hand-made, home-spun, imported yarn gold! Sadly, most of it is way too expensive for me. emo Check out their website and try to stop by if you ever road-trip through Florida.

Sorry I wasn't paying close enough attention last night to catch this. The interchangeables are knitting needles, not crochet hooks. I don't know if they have interchangeable crochet hooks.

I did! That is my Interchangeable knitting needle case. I also have a crochet hook and single point knitting needle cases that I made out of an upcycled skirt.
