Welcome to the Galleries Rules and FAQ, your how-to on posting your very own gallery in Totally Hooked!

Rules

Follow Gaias TOS
This applies to any and all forums in Totally Hooked.

Do NOT post in other user's Galleries.
Galleries are designed to give members a space to showcase their finished works. If you would like to comment on a member's project, talk to them in another thread or if they prefer, PM them directly.

Totally Hooked Galleries are for finished projects only.
WIP's should be posted in the projects forum, where members can discuss what they are working on.

Your gallery is for your work ONLY.
Do not post other members work in your gallery. Any pictures and projects in your gallery should your work only. Posts with pictures or projects that don't belong to you but claiming them as your own will be considered theft.

Please follow the format for creating your own personal gallery.
Included in this thread is a format and directions for creating your gallery. To see how this format looks when finished, please see the Example Gallery.

FAQ

What are Totally Hooked Galleries?
A Totally Hooked Gallery is a place for you to open your own thread, showcasing you finished projects for everyone to see. Our goal is to provide a place to look through other member's finished works without scrolling through post after post to see their pictures.

How is this different from the Projects Forum?
In the projects forum, you can post about your crochet and knitting as you work on it. This includes posting about projects you're getting ready to start, WIP's and the finished product. In the Projects forum we encourage people to talk to each other about what they are working on.In the Galleries however, each user will have their own gallery where only they will post in their thread.

Can I post WIP's in my Gallery?
Totally Hooked Galleries are meant for FINISHED projects only, and information on those projects.

What should a Totally Hooked Gallery look like?
We have a sticky thread up for everyone to see of an example Gallery. Each gallery should have the same initial post (formats for this are provided). Each post afterwards should be for individual projects. This streamlines the thread and makes it easier to navigate.

What if I don't like how the Example Gallery looks?
We ask that each member follors the basic outline for galleries, but aside from that it's up to you! If you would like to make your gallery fancier or more simple that's up to you.

Directions for Creating Your Gallery

Start a new thread in the Gallery Sub-Forum.
You can title your gallery how ever you want, but it would be easier for others to find it if the title includes your username!

Make your first post.
The very first post in your gallery should be an introduction. We ask that you include a reminder for other's not to comment in your gallery on this post. You can take a look at the example gallery for what this might look like.

In your first post, please let others know if you would like them to contact you in the forums or by PM. Other than that, feel free to add a little about yourself and your crafts.

After The First Post
Each post after the introduction will be for a separate project. You can one, or multiple pictures of that project in the post but they should be of the finished project only.

What Information to Include
At the very least, it should include a picture of the project and if the pattern was made by someone else, the name of said pattern and where we might be able to find it. If you can, hotlink the name of the pattern to where another people can find it.Pictures should not be more than 800x800 pixels to keep your posts from page stretching.

Optional Information to Include
The type of yarn used, and/or the brand.
About how much was used for the whole project.
How much time the project took to finish.
An estimate of the difficulty level.
What you thought about the project.
Things you changed from the original pattern.
