DON'T WATCH IT.
The show is just one big plot hole after another, and the only characters with consistent personalities are barely in the show, or dead after three episodes.
One the one hand, I've heard the horror stories about that second half. On the other hand, I have several friends who really like the show and it's become big enough that I feel like I do need to watch the show for myself and come to my own opinions on it.
Anyway, I'm through episode 7 of the show and it's been fine so far. It's not at a level that I'd pay Aniplex prices for, but it's been enjoyable enough that I want to continue. That said, I heard that most of the early episodes were adapting side stories and that the first novel started around floor 75, so I'll see how I feel about the show once we actually hit the material in the first novel.
