Personality: Daitaro is probably one of the most laid back members in the Gotei 13. He never seems to be under any stress and is usually found taking naps in quiet places. Another thing about Dai is the fact that he loves women. Although he is nice to everyone, he is even kinder to the opposite sex. Unfortunately, his perverted ways usually keep him from getting too far with the lady he has his eye on.

Background: Daitaro was born into a wealthy family. His dad was a businessman from America who planned on jump starting a new franchise in Japan. While starting up his new business, he met a young japanese woman whom became his secretary.... and something more. Years later, Daitaro was born. As people that knew of him would say, he was a spoiled brat. Able to get anything he wanted. But the people who actually KNEW Dai would know that he was a kind hearted soul who only helped people in need and when he wanted something, most of the time it was used to aid others. From giving money to taking the fall, Dai would always try to help wherever he was needed. However, this in turn would always get Dai in trouble. He would always get into fights because of his friends' problems and would come home with new cuts and bruises at least once a week. Finally, by the time he was 19 Dai got into more trouble than he could handle. When walking home from school, Dai could hear a young woman in trouble and followed the sound. He followed the sound into a back alleyway where one of his classmates was being taken advantage of by two thugs. Without hesitation, Dai jumped in to save her and fought while she escaped. He was able to hold his own and it appeared that he was winning for awhile until he let his guard down. When he thought that he had won, Dai turned to leave and one of the thugs shot him in his back. Dai fell to his knees, shocked and stared at the blood that was pouring from his chest. But the shocked expression soon left and was replaced with a smile. Looking up, Dai saw the fearful look of his classmate whom he had saved at the end of the alley. Dai gave her that same warm smile that he gave all of his classmates. The smile that let them know that everything will be alright. Mouthing the word "run", Dai dropped his arms just as the girl ran.... and a bullet was put through his head.

Because of his selfless nature and kind heart, Daitaro was sent to the Soul Society. He was soon sent to the Shinigami Academy where he trained and honed his skills as a shinigami. During his years there, Dai met a man by the name of Dobuo Gravellia, the fourth seat of Squad 6. For some reason, Nobuo took an interest in Dai and mentored him. The two became close over the years, with Nobuo even adopting Daitaro into the Gravellia family. One day, news reached Dai's ears that Nobuo died in battle. Stricked with depression for the next few weeks, Dai blamed himself for not being there to help. He called himself weak and cursed the speed of his progress. From that moment, he made an oath. With the skills and power he gained from then on out, he would use to protect everyone around him. Even if he had to completely annihilate a threat, he would do it. "Destroy to protect", he decided. After graduating, Daitaro joined the same squad that Nobuo was in and made his way up the ranks. Eventually, reaching the position of Vice-Captain to stand beside the head of the Gravellia family, the captain of squad six, himself. He uses the destructive force of Bokyaku to protect the innocent and meek and intends to do so as long as he holds a sword to make Nobuo as well as Squad Six proud.

Description: Bokyaku turns into a thin yet long blood red katana that pulses a glow every couple of seconds. Each time the blade glows, a heartbeat can be heard thumping as well as moans from dying souls.


Abilities:

Hermes- Dai's reflex timing and shunpo speed increase drastically, allowing him to close or open the distance between himself and an opponent in no time.

Hercules- The strength of Dai becomes increases drastically, giving him superhuman level strength in his attacks. If he punched with all of his might, a force of wind ranged to 5ft blasts forward to stagger the opponent.

Athena- This special technique allows Dai to change his zanpakuto into different types of blades. From his katana to a naginata to a spear to a scythe. All of which will still have he same red glow on the blade.

All shikai abilities have a four post limit before a cool down of two posts.

Bankai Name: Kaosu Bokyaku

Bankai Incantation: "Conquer them, Kaosu Bokyaku!"

Release Appearance: Armor of Bokyaku


Description: Two marbles materialize into two of the three holes placed around the hilt of Bokyaku . One light blue, and one crimson red. Whenever Dai flicks one of these marbles and it begins to spin, he gains temporary power representing the Greek gods Zeus and Ares. Once another marble begins to spin, the other stops and the powers shift.


Abilities:

Zeus - Bokyaku summons a small storm over the battlefield, centered on Dai but ranging out to 30 meters, complete with thunder and lightning. Dai can aim where the lightning strikes, but it takes a few moments to charge each bolt. However, when preparing for the bolt to strike, Dai is unable to move for that time frame.

Ares- An upgrade to Athena. Dai is able to summon a second blade in his free hand along with his original zanpakuto. Although not as strong as his own original zanpakuto, they are all very sturdy. When Dai lets go of one summoned blade, he is able to summon another. All of the blades disappear once the bankai is deactivated.


All bankai abilities have a five post limit before a cool down of three posts.

Hadō:

1. Shō (衝, Thrust) Pushes the target away from the caster.

33. Sōkatsui (蒼火墜, Blue Fire, Crash Down) Fires a burst of blue spiritual energy at a target in a similar manner to #31, but over a wider area and with more power.

73. Sōren Sōkatsui (双蓮蒼火墜, Twin Lotus Blue Fire, Crash Down) Essentially a doubled version of #33, this spell fires two shots of blue fire with greater potency than the single-shot variety.

Bakudō:

21. Sekienton (赤煙遁, Red Smoke Escape) Creates a blast upon activation and is used like a ninja's smoke bomb

61. Rikujōkōrō (六杖光牢, Six Rods Prison of Light) Summons six thin, wide beams of light that slam into a target's midsection, holding them in place. The target is then unable to move any part of their body including the parts that were not struck by the beams.

99, Part 1. Kin (禁, Seal) Ties the target's arms on the back in addition to wrapping the spiritual fabric around the entire body, and continues to pin the target with spiritual fabric stacked to the ground around the target with several iron shafts in an "X" shape. This technique can be used to a lesser degree, as Tessai used it on Ichigo to not pin him down on the ground, but simply bind his arms to his back with the spiritual fabric and iron shafts.

Other: Daitaro blames his death on his inexperience when it comes to combat. To make sure that it doesn't happen again, Daitaro trained himself in more ways than just swordsmanship. He honed his reflexes and flexibility as well as hand-to-hand combat to support his swordsmanship.

While it's obvious this is a passive ability, I ask that you include the fact is passive in the description of the technique. Otherwise you could make it an active ability that lasts for an amount of time before going on cool down. Additionally, tenfold is just a tad too much, so I ask that you tone that down a bit as well.


This ability is fine in and of itself, however, again I request that you either make it an active or include the fact that this ability is passive. Additionally, what is the range of the air force thrown by the punch?


Once more, add into the description this ability is passive. As for the shape shifting properties, that needs a cool down period in which he cannot change the weapon he's using. The last thing I'd like to make note of is that I also include that while he can certainly use varying types of the same weapon, he cannot customize them wildly. Otherwise you could create a fifteen foot spear with perfect mastery over it, or other even wilder things.


This technique needs a range in which he can call forth the lightning bolts as well as a definite post duration and a cool down period. By control I presume you mean he can call a bolt down from above someone and should they move you can bend it to chase them around to your whim? If this is the case, I'm going to ask you add in a limitation such as rendering Dai unable to move while the lightning bolt is being moved.


This technique is simply too strong. If one were to look up on a clear day, this would allow you to technically hit someone as far away as the Sun. Even then, in places such as the ocean or area with virtually no obstruction, the average person can actually see for several miles, and roughly five to seven feet in their peripheral vision. Once more, I'm asking that you give this move a solid, reasonable area as well as a cool down in posts.

Also, you have that he is a Captain in his personality, just letting you know.

This last bit is a side note. You have three Shikai and two Bankai and I'm merely adding this in here that you are allowed five Shikai and three Bankai if you wish. Please quote me when you're ready to be reviewed again and also be aware that at any point in time you are subject to a second review by Mochii Iced Tea that is to supersede my own review.

By making them an active that fixed most of the problems. The only thing I see in issue related to the abilities themselves is the momentary charge time. If this stops him from moving for a moment I'd like it to be in the description. Otherwise, it's fine. As a general thing, I suggest upping the cool down of your Bankai abilities from two posts to three to balance things out.

Edit: Zeus also needs a range as well, as otherwise the ability could strike a foe at potentially any distance.

Hmm 45 meters is about 150 feet in range. Peel it back to about 30m and you're good to go.
