Appearance:

Eric is a freckled boy with wavy black hair and green eyes. His broad shoulders have frequently proved to be an asset in rubgy, a game he enjoys. Despite being a rugby player, he still looks sort of round. As he ages, he will look considerably more masculine, growing to a height of about 6 feet and becoming far more muscular. But for now, he's stuck at about 5'3 and around 160 pounds.

Speaking Style:

It's obvious that he was born a Brit and he has a bit of Cockney accent weighs down an otherwise average way of talking. As for vocal range- right now, he sounds like a high tenor. However, when he does get older, it will drop to a baritone's range.

Demeanor:

Eric will try and keep things jovial. He likes a good laugh and is willing to make the occasional jab to make that happen. However, Eric tends to stay towards the background- he feels the spotlight isn't the place for him.

Best Qualities:

Eric is the kind of guy that will be there for a friend no matter what. He keeps his promises and will go out of his way to help somebody. Eric also has a weird ability to keep calm regardless of what's happening. He's a hardworking and warmhearted individual who will be at a friend's beck and call.

Worst Qualities/Flaws:

It's hard for him to establish boundaries- he tends to be taken advantage of and doesn't really see it as such. Another underlying factor is that he's so unsure of himself- an underlying insecurity issue does bother him. Additionally, it takes him a numerous amount of attempts before he understands something. He's not quite comfortable in his own skin yet and that does show. It's sort of hard to make friends for him too, since he doesn't make a point of putting himself out there.

History:

Eric was born to two muggle parents in a suburb that they still reside in today. He started playing sports at a fairly young age, and really stuck with rugby. That has resulted in a myriad of injuries, which has in turn encouraged him to pursue the medical sciences. Although he didn't tell anyone about it at the time, weird things started happening around him starting when he was eight. Eric was sort of mad at a teacher for assigning so much work one day and he was glaring at the paper he was about to write on when it suddenly had a little ember burning the paper. He instantly put it out with a little water but it certainly spooked him.

When he got the letter, it was sort of like everything was clicking into place. He would have never guessed he was going to a Wizarding school and going to do magic- it was never a thought when he was younger. It is weird that he has to keep his studies under lock and key while at his parent's house, but he does like that they support him even though they don't really see what he does.

A 13" sturdy Willow wand with a Dragon Heartstring core.

Hobbies:

Born a muggle, he has a lot of muggle interests. He enjoys swimming on occasion and playing rugby. He had an interest in the sciences before coming to Hogwarts, which has translated to an interest in Potions and Herbology. Eric does enjoy flying- the freedom and the surroundings allow him to forget about the things that bother him. He wants to try for the Quidditch team, but his insecurities get in the way of that.
