I'm down with space too.. but here's what I'm thinking.
We're part of a illegal arena combat company and were all taken as kids.
The tournament is meant to find out who the strongest (both mentally and physically) are out of all of us and then the person who wins ends up being the one who leads the attack on a hostile race who have taken over our planet.
THEN WE CAN FILL IT WITH ALL OF THE PLOT TWISTS!!

seems like a cool idea mixed with Berry's idea.
could be like a giant space ship.... -rubs chin-
filled with different races like you said of various ages... of
alian kind of like ranks and such... seems like a legit idea to me... o, o
