I'm surprised no one has posted about this. What did you guys think? There are great cinematics and gameplay, characterization, conflict, and altogether just too many tears. I mean that ending...... What did you guys honestly think about it?

Possible Spoilers
I finally finished it today. And I have to admit the ending was a little...disappointing. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't good. It's not what I was expecting. You'd want a happy ending for them both, but at the same time you're thankful they both made it. All in all though the game was really good. The characters were realistic and the voice acting was pretty convincing. My biggest fear with games that take place in a lawless world is rape. I like how this game did not cram that in for the sheer sake of it. But here, TLoU has left it down to your imagination to what is being implied. Even then it's implied nothing actually happens, which makes the game more enjoyable.

Way I see it, Naughty Dog is leaving themselves a door to make a sequel. Because the ending is very open-ended, it leaves the gamer room to think about what might happen next, and I've got a very good feeling the main plot of the "sequel" will take place 10 years later, with a 24-25 year-old Ellie and Joel in his 60s, who's getting old, but not too old to stop traveling. Playing as Ellie, she eventually (somehow) finds out what really happened with the Fireflies and will need to make a decision whether or not to kill Joel because of it. This game is very well done, but at the same time experimental after 3 Uncharted games. They used what they knew best and tested the waters with other features that can easily be improved.
