-Shadestar-
He padded out of his den. He shook his fur to get all of the moss out of it. He stretched, scanning the camp for any other cat. He only saw his sister, Petalpaw. He padded over to her. She seemed tense, and he felt so very sorry for her, and what she had been through. She sensed this and ducked her head and padded past. He stared after her, wondering where he had done something wrong. He wished that he had paid more attention to her when she was younger, and had protected her, as a big brother should. He had been so oblivious to what was happening to her, all the glares she saw, all the hurtful comments. He was too focused on his own future, he didn't take care of his sister.

~Petalpaw~
Had been the only cat in the camp for a while. She liked being alone. She saw a cat, and was ready to sneak way, but she realized it was her brother. When he padded over, she could feel his guilt. She couldn't handle it, it was sickening to her. She had to go away from it. It hurt too much. She didn't need his sympathy. She decided to leave the camp for a while, to let her air out her emotions.

~Wildpaw and Stormpaw~
The troublesome siblings.

We were born of lies...
Yet even though we are thought to be clan born...
The only ones we can truly trust...

The she-cat's tail swayed slowly from side to side with each step she took. She had gotten better at walking the closer the two of them got to the camp. At the moment Wildpaw was in the lead, skipping happily with each step. Behind her Stormpaw walked with a small smile on his lips.
A small butterfly flew past Wildpaw's nose, catching the she-cat's full attention. With a purr rumbling deep in her throat she took off after it. She pounced in the air several times, her leg preventing her from jumping too high but no pain coursed through her this time.
From behind her Stormpaw laughed at the sight. After another pounce she turned her head, looking to him all confused like "What's wrong Stormpaw?" she mewed in such an innocent tone it made Stormpaw's smile grow. "Nothing's wrong Wildpaw, now why don't you go play with your new friend." he gave a small nod of his head in the direction the butterfly had flown off to. His sister squeaked with excitement before scurrying after it.

Stormpaw allowed his sister to play for a little bit longer before he finally decided that they couldn't put off their return any longer. With a heavy heart he called to his sister with a meow. Her ears instantly perked up and as they sweveled toward her brother her head turned as well. "Come on, we need to get back to camp." he urged.
Her ears drooped and she looked back at the trunk where the butterfly had decided to rest. There was a longing in her ocean blue gaze, a longing that almost made him want to give into her desires. But standing firm he cleared his voice and spoke in a more stern tone. "Now!"
Wildpaw lowered her head and let out a soft mew before listening to her brother and walking over to him. She looked like a pouting kit right now, even a tuft of fur was out of place. He leaned down and licked it back into place. He gave her a reassuring smile before nudging her along with his nose. Still with her tail drooping she followed in step behind her brother as he led her into the camp entrance.
When they entered Stormpaw noticed that two cats were currently out and about. One was their den mate, Patelpaw, the other her brother and their leader Shadestar. Any normal apprentice would have cowered or tried to hide. Neither of the two siblings did that. WIldpaw was too distracted to notice anything around her. Stormpaw on the other hand had his head held high and led his sister over to the prey pile where she poked at each piece till she sank her teeth into a snake and drug it across the ground to sit in front of the apprentices den.

~Petalpaw~
She didn't even give a glance to the other apprentices. She didn't need friends! Her green eyes flashed like a wild fire at that thought. Friends will only betray you, or leave you when you stop becoming useful! She huffed. If anycat even tied they could see the loneliness and fear in her eyes, but no cat had even attempted to be her friend. She the only things she had ever known were hate, loneliness, sadness, and fear when it came to other cats, even her father. The only cat she could trust was her brother. Her tail swished with frustration as she left the camp.
((In territory))

-Shadestar-
He happily greeted the apprentices, but his mind was still on his sister. He wished she would make some friends so he wouldn't worry that much. He knew that she had given up on the idea of companionship when some of the she-cats used their friendship with her to try to exclude her even more. It was like a game to them! He hated that they did that, but now, they probably wouldn't even remember doing that, even less likely tell him. It made him upset, that he didn't do anything to help her. She always called him for help when something like that happened, and he always pretended not to hear...

Wildpaw was oblivious to all that was going on around her. Instead she was happily tearing into the snake she had chosen from the prey pile.
While his sister enjoyed her share of their meal the leader had greeted them while his sister, petalpaw, slipped out of camp heading for the territory outside the camp. He wouldn't admit it but he kind of felt sorry for his den mate. She had it worse then them. Many of the cats around the clan didn't like her so much. Why was that? For one simple reason, she was different. That's all it took in the life of a clan. One small difference and they treated you worse then dirt. His smoky blue gaze lingered in the direction the she-cat had gone, but when he spoke he was addressing the leader. "Hey Shadestar can you watch Wildpaw, I don't want her getting in trouble while I step out of camp real quick."
His sister looked up at him with a worry and fear filled gaze. She hated to be when he wasn't by her side "I will come with you." she spoke frantically as she rose to her paws. But her back leg gave out on her. She played it off as if she was merely adjusting herself to sit down. Stormpaw fixed her with a warning look before speaking to her "I need you to stay here and eat ok." he spoke as if he was speaking to a kit. Reluctantly she nodded her head with a pout on her lips. He looked back to the leader to wait for an answer.

-Shadestar-
He nodded, and sighed with relief. Maybe there was some hope for his sister. He grinned and mewed over to Wildpaw, "don't worry Wildpaw. He'll be back soon. I promise you." He looked over at the tom coolly and mewed, "you can go. I got it under control over here." his eyes kind but playful. Maybe Stormpaw could change his sister's opinion on other cats. Possibly, but not very likely. He happily flicked his tail in farewell. Then he turned to Wildpaw again. He smiled and mewed, "how does your leg feel?" his eyes sparkling with concern.

The she-cat watched her brother till he was out of sight. His absence was more noticible to her then it probably should have been. But Shadestar's presence seemed even more overwhelming to her. She peeked up at the leader shyly before averting her gaze. He seemed to tower over her. Sure Stormpaw was bigger then she was, but at least his aura didn't seem to swallow everything around him. She took a timid bite of the snake and slowly chewed on the soft meat. He asked her about her leg and mentally she was cringing at his question. But on the outside she shrugged her shoulders in a nonchalant manner. "It's been preventing me from jumping but like the medicine cat said it will heal one day." she only wished she could believe her own words. A part of her wasn't too sure about that.

He nodded, and mewed kindly, "I'm glad to hear that. Excuse me for a moment so I can get a piece of prey." he dashed over to the prey pile, grabbed the smallest piece he could see, and padded back over. Not a heartbeat seemed to pass. He laid down and yawned, he looked at the small prey and said his thanks. He finished it, and was watching the apprentice. Bored as he might be, he made a promise, and he was going to keep it. He could easily tell the apprentice was uncomfortable, he was too...

She took another small bite and watched with relief as the leader went to grab a piece of prey for himself. She had thought he might be leaving her to be by herself. If he had she was planning to sneak off and find her brother. But sadly he returned back to her with a piece of prey for himself. She couldn't hide the disappointment she felt. It shined in her ocean blue gaze which had been torn away from him and was now back on the entrance. "Sooo your Petalpaw's big brother right?" it was a half hearted question. But if they were going to be alone for a little bit then she might as well ask questions that she was sure he could answer. She had tried talking to Petalpaw before but the snob of a she-cat had gave her the cold shoulder and left her standing there with none of them answered.

The Tinkerclan leader nodded, and mewed, "I wish I could help her. She's just so scared and untrusting of every cat. I feel so bad that I ignored her cries of help and pain, just so I could keep my reputation. I'm a horrible cat." he looked at the apprentice, but wasn't really seeing her. "If I could go back, I would have- I would have-" he shook his head and closed his eyes. No, he wouldn't have. He was scared, and he will always know that. His eyes opened back up and mewed, "I just wish that I could've helped her... Please don't hate her for what she's become. She's just scared. Sometimes she doesn't even trust me..." His eyes were hopeful, but knowing of the apprentice's attitude towards his sister. He was leader, after all. He suddenly grinned and mewed, "now, tell me about your brother!" his tone light and happy.

She eyed him out of the corner of her eyes as he spoke to her. Something was off. She could tell he really loved his sister...But not enough to take away her pain. If you love her so much why'd you turn your back on her. she almost spoke the words aloud. But she could hear Stormpaw's voice scolding her and telling her that that was something to be thought not said for all to hear. She opened her mouth but then shut it tightly, her right fang piercing her lower lip, making it bleed. She let the leader dwell in his sadness. There was nothing she could say to him that would make it better. Honestly she didn't understand how one could turn their back on their siblings. She'd do anything to protect Stormpaw even if it cost her all of her honor.
When he asked her about Stormpaw her eyes seemed to glitter with happiness! She was eager to tell him of Stormpaw but stopped herself as she understood something. She wasn't entirely sure what she should tell the leader. A mix of thoughtfullness and confusion played across her face before she spoke slowly "Smokepaw is a wonderful brother...He takes care of me and doesn't mind when my mind lea...I mean wanders." she was quick to catch herself. The leader might think her crazy if she told him she leaves her mind sometimes.

He grinned when the apprentice told him about her brother, and mewed, "that's great, Wildpaw. I'm glad." He silently wished he could have supported Petalpaw the way Wildpaw and Stormpaw supported each other. He cleared his mind. He was glad for the apprentice and mewed happily, "is there anything else that you would not mind telling me about? It doesn't just have to be about your brother." his eyes gave off a friendly glint.

His compliment caused the she-cat to lift her head high, puffing out her chest. She was so proud of those few words. She felt as if he were giving them to Stormpaw rather then herself. But that feeling alone made her feel even prouder of them. When he spoke once more she seemed to shrink into her pelt, ears flattening against her skull. She averted her gaze and poked at the snake with an unsheathed claw. She wasn't exactly sure what to say to the leader. She didn't want to tell him anything....She wasn't sure if she could trust him. Deciding to avoid him asking more questions about her and Stormpaw she spoke one of her thoughts aloud, though her voice was just a notch above a whisper. "You know it's not too late for you and your sister...I mean sure thing's are tense right now. But Stormpaw always tells me that as long as one side is willing to reach a paw out then things will get better." she risked a quick glance to see his reaction before looking back at the snake. She knew how stupid that sounded, especially since she was only an apprentice and he was their leader.

He thought deeply for a moment, "that's a good idea, Wildpaw. I'll try that... Thank you." He gazed up towards the sky, his eyes bright. Maybe, that will help her. He returned his gaze to back around camp and he padded around, contemplating the idea. He still kept his eye on the apprentice. It wasn't because he didn't trust her, but rather he made a promise
