Devin Devin was a little bit quicker on his game than his brother. In the time it took for Jason to stop his complaining and get back to their room, Devin had already gone back and changed for his next class. He took note of the sorts of attacks his skitty had used, but still didn't really know what his little pokemon could do. Needless to say, he had to take a beginner's course. " There's no name next to this classroom..." He said, looking around until he found the right one. With the adrenalin gone, he fell back into his usual tired self. But opening the door, he saw the headmistress. " Miss Phoenix? Why are you here? Are you... the teacher?" He asked, double checking to make sure he was in the correct classroom. He was. But it seemed a little strange that the headmistress herself would take over a classroom and lesson for any reason. Maybe that was just him.

Hana came into her next class a little shaken. She had never been so viciously attacked before in her life! Everyone around her was usually calm and polite, and the animals and pokemon either didn't care about her presence or simply walked away. To have been attacked was a little traumatic to her. Though, since there was nothing physically wrong with her or her togepi (thanks to a delightful pink pokemon), she was sent off to head for her next class. Like Devin, she found it a little odd when she saw the woman who had saved them only a little while ago. Vern and Iris had clarified that she was the person in charge of the entire school. But neither of them mentioned she was a teacher as well! "Ohai--Hello..." She greeted shyly following Devin (since he was the only person she recognized). "We have all same class, yes?" She smiled timidly at him, and spoke quietly. If they always had the same classes, it would be perfect if they could be friends! Then she would have someone she knew in every one of her classes--even if Vern and Iris weren't around!

As a few students began to enter, shuffled in them was Tony. A quick drop off, short explanation, and a sudden sweet kiss and he was gone again. "W-wait a minute! Tony!" He was already gone. More (NPC) students began to come inside. "I guess he hasn't entirely changed..." She muttered after a sigh.
Flash back
Tony held out a small bouquet of wild flowers, "These are for you! So just take 'em alright!?" The younger and more childish Annie blushed in awe. "They're so pretty. Thank you--! Huh? H-hey! Wait a minute! Antonio!" Even back then he was quick to take off. It was something Annie never understood...
"Well, alright. Let's start class. Today, we're gonna start with the most basic trainer tool: the pokeball. After which we'll go in depth about the many kinds of pokeballs and their particular usage." She smiled back at the class. "Since this tends to be one of the smaller classes and we do a lot of hands on learning with the items we're going to be using, I tend to let everyone keep their own set of the Items we covered so they can practice with them," That was enough to get the class excited. No one ever turned down free stuff! And that also meant it freed up some of their budgets too. Not everyone could get all their studies done while holding down a job. There was only a select few who could manage it well. But that was why Annie volunteered for this class when no one else would. Seeing every new face, every first timer, it was as close as she got to her own children learning their first steps or alphabet.

Devin Devin smiled when he noticed a familiar face behind him, " Hi Hana," He said kindly, unlike his brother. " Looks like we have every class together so far. That's good." He sat beside her, keeping watch over everything around them and all the strange faces. " I'm glad to see we're not the only ones who need help getting started," Were it Jason, that might mean something entirely different. To Devin, it mean the cleanest of terms. " Hmn? More than one kind of pokeball? Teacher, how many are there exactly?" He questioned genuinely. If you knew nothing more about Devin, you would always know that he was a good boy with the sincerest intentions--his brother was the outcast (by choice).

Annie sighed as she started writing on the front board. She gone through nearly every pokeball she had in the past lessons, and it seemed like the majority of the class was getting the hang of it. And then the trip to Partright City made a more clear sense to more with its various events. Speaking of which: That robbery... It was strange. Something about it was eerie. Sure treasure was stolen, but to what point? They couldn't be sold! Gems were unmarked and would probably be called in the first time they tried to market it--and others were unique pieces that were easy to recognize as stolen. It didn't make sense.
Pokedex Functions
On her desk were various forms of all the pokedex thus far. All had their updates, but the division came from the regions: each presenting its own style.
Students began to slowly walk in, most looking frustrated or tired. It was probably the cold snap rolling in. Maybe that house hunting would have to wait. Tony had said that he wouldn't be able to make it anyway, and the sky looked like rain would come soon. That was strange too. Not the rain, but Tony. He was more docile and gentle this morning, compared to most. Maybe even more cautious? Yesterday's surprise (well, almost) might have given him a scare. It gave Annie a scare, though maybe the two were different somehow? Whatever the reason, Annie was just happy to have him near. A normal year at last, normal worries, normal everything; except for Antonio Reyes: one of a kind! She chuckled at that.

It was a strange feeling having to walk into class without his timid little shadow beside him. Usually, after gym, he and Hana would hurrying from their respective dorms and meet in the halls. He'd gotten to know her a little better, and struck a strong bond. She was cute and sincere, even a little too innocent for her own good. His over zealous attacking had started off as helping, but quickly turned into the thing that hurt his friend. He felt low. Walking into class, he was silent with his eyes on the ground. He sat down, and probably wouldn't look up at all during class. All he could think is how he could ever face any of his classmates or friends again. Hell, even his brother was a better man today!

Annie smiled at the groggy group of students in the class. "I see quite a few of you have had the chance to use a pokeball in success! Wonderful!" She cheered in a cheerful tone. Though, a few students didn't look in a cheering mood. "Today, we're covering what might be called the most important tool in regards to pokemon," She held up a pokedex. "Everything we know about every pokemon we know of is installed in these devices. That being said, there are times when new information is available for download to a pokedex. Under usual circumstances, that sort of downloadable information or any upgrades are made in research labs. However, you may be more aware that Adell isn't the only pokemon studying city. Quite a few are in this region, and more in other regions. Thus, it is important that new discoveries are shared between these facilities; and so any school, lab, or pokemon center in the general area of one of those listed can possibly hold new data available for a pokedex. Keep that in mind." She finished her small speech, gesturing for one person at a time to come an pick out a pokedex.
"We'll start with scanning our own pokemon to retrieve information. After, I want everyone to practice that by scanning each other's pokemon. Get the general information, genders, moves, levels, abilities and the like. Our next lesson will be going over how to look up pokemon not presently available to us. For now, please practice with these, donated to the school."

Annie scribbled on the board up front, a line of medicines, herbs, and vitamins crowded up her desk. It was the last big hand out before going more in depth about typing needs and training techniques. It wasn't surpriseing that most trainers didn't know where to begin with training when they've just started out. Hopefully that lesson might tie in well with their other battle instructions. For now, care was far more important. Ray sat on her chair, looking poised and focused as its fork tail waved a slow metronome through the air. Claws took a perch on its provided stand. Both psychic types were still, reading through thoughts and emotions, and both were frustrated with a few things they found.
The first odd thing there was to notice about the headmistress today were the shoes on her feet. They weren't at all like herself and taste. Actually, they'd been a joking gift some years ago! And while the coat she wore seemed a little more her style, what lay beneath wasn't. After the frustration and anger swell finally subsided, Annie had decided to blow off her evening duties. It was about time she had a few hours to be selfish! And yesterday had been completely spoiled!
She wasn't all too sure if she believed what Tony said about that picture. Actually, it made her all the more mad as the tiniest thought suggested he might be lying seeped into her head. But to completely blow her off! That alone was infuriating and depressing. However, it was the suggestion by an old girlfriend, Georgia Baker, that Tony might be fooling around with a student that really made up her mind. Tony had always been a little too flirtatious, and at times didn't know when to stop. This was avidly reminded to Annie by her "friend". The idea of Antonio even... With a student! George did make a good point: It would explain all his late nights and sneaking around. Were it the case, she had to get rid of it before any sort of media could get the smallest sniff. That would really ruin her academy! How could he be so stupid!? It almost ruined her when it came out about Evangeline and Owen--before Angie's true age was told, and her real dealings exposed to calm (most) of the slander.
Tonight, Annie was tossing aside her responsibilities and headed into town. Club R!ot sounded good. And with halloween, who was going to complain about her? This was a very small window to let loose and push aside her to-do list. Girls night!Hana came in among others to her last class of the day, holding tight to togepi (now feeling its place as her favorite again) and staying close to her lickitung--better known as the stranger repeller! And better yet, when looking at her teacher's desk: she saw familiar plant things! They grew in her grandmother's garden, and were finally a familiar thing to her! The other things looked alien to her (as did most things), but there sat something familiar and that was all that mattered! This time, she sat in the front again, eager once more and having a small prayer that her knowing something would get her teacher to like her (a child's prayer, but one she always wanted since leaving Hokkaido).
