Unlike other masters, Rayen owns several residences, rents others, frequents hotels and penthouses, and travels between quite often. Once every two weeks or so, depending on her business in an area. She hates such a nomad lifestyle and yearns to return to her home, but that is impossible for now and she knows it.
This is the home from which she was driven out of by a clan of kobolds. It now sits in ruins, destroyed out of spite, waiting for its rightful mistress to return. Rayen doesn't know of its current state, as it would break her heart, and Eysteinn has carefully kept it hidden from her since he found out on his own.
She still has access to her family's vast wealth and business, even dabbling in real estate and receiving royalty checks for her own few published works. There are a few lawyers throughout the globe she does business through that manage the various accounts and investment that she visits occasionally. None are human and all are beings she trusts implicitly. They, other than Eysteinn, are the only ones who know where she is, where she is going, and are able to contact her if necessary.
A life with Rayen promises to be full of luxury, new sights, new sounds - and plenty of adventure.
