How is Your Relationship With Jesus? I thought I would post a church meeting about this because sometimes as Christians we don't always step back and evaluate how our relationship is with Jesus. At times we may look at it and think, "I feel like a failure - I'm not doing enough." or, "Things are going well, but how do I improve my relationship with Jesus?" Sometimes it's evident to us when our relationship with Jesus is faltering. Perhaps we feel we don't have enough time in our busy day to read His word, when everyone on this planet has 24 hours in their day - we will never get more time in a day than that so we must use it wisely and study God's word no matter what and this should be a daily thing. Perhaps we feel that we've come to a stand still in our relationship with Jesus and feel that we've prayed, read His word, and feel that we need to add more to that, but aren't sure what. Even if our relationship with Jesus is great now, we can always help it grow! In The Holy Bible, we are instructed to love the Lord with our heart, soul, and mind: Matthew 22:37 - 38 NIV:
Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. If we love the Lord with all our heart, soul, and mind - we are involving Him in our everyday lives in everything that we do. It's important that we do this. We can involve Him in the activities that we do, we can talk to Him or pray to Him in our mind when we're walking around in a public place, etc. There are so many ways to get the Lord involved smile If we love Jesus, we will obey His commandments: John 14:21 NIV:
Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them.” Of course we will all make mistakes and sin, but God offers us forgiveness when we can forgive others and when we ask for forgiveness. God can give us a clean slate when we repent of our sin(s) and ask for forgiveness. Keeping our relationship healthy with Jesus is to repent of our sins and ask for forgiveness. We must also walk by faith, not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7)!So How Do We Grow More In Jesus?
1. Love Lord with our heart, soul, and mind (Matthew 22:37 - 38 )
2. Obey His commandments (John 14:21)
3. Listen to what God's word has to say, for it will help us grow (2 Timothy 3:16 - 17)
4. Communicate through prayer about anything, thank Him for what He does for us, and tell Him what is on our minds. Pray for everything! (Philippians 4:6 - 7)
5. Be confident and faithful that God is listening and does answer prayer. (1 John 5:14 - 15)
6. Be thankful for everything because we belong to Him (1 Thessalonians 5:18 )
7. Communicate with other fellow believers (Hebrews 10:24 - 25; Proverbs 27:17)
8. Set aside time for Bible study and prayer daily (Psalm 1:2; Deuteronomy 6:7 - 9; Joshua 1:8; Psalm 119:105; James 15:5)

I'm glad you brought up this topic, because at times, even though I pray every morning and read my Bible, I feel as if that's not enough. And sometimes, when I pray, I feel as if God's not actually answering my prayers. I did realize, though, that I need to be more thankful. I was asking for too much with too little praise for what He's already done for me. This church meeting has helped me realize that.

It seems that everywhere I go. People are always second guessing them self and GOD. For an example did god do this or that. my favorite one I've seen is" Am I worshiping the right person what if the Devil is the one I'm suppose to worship". ~Well I guess what I get from this is that GOD is GOD and He should not be second guessed and never do something going GOD has to Forgive me because I repented after I did this sin. Well No he doesn't. The Guy who predicted the end of the world in October of 2011. Sad News for him he is forever covered in sin for it says in Revelations(not sure exactly) he is forever bounded to Hell. Sad I know. Now before I let my ramble take control. This was a good meeting and thank you
GOD Bless

This was a good meeting and thank you GOD Bless Who are we to judge others? We cannot, that is God's job, not ours. It's important to remember that it is not our place to do so. Matthew 7:1 - 2 NIV:
“Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.
Romans 2:1 - 3 NIV:
You, therefore, have no excuse, you who pass judgment on someone else, for at whatever point you judge another, you are condemning yourself, because you who pass judgment do the same things. Now we know that God’s judgment against those who do such things is based on truth. So when you, a mere human being, pass judgment on them and yet do the same things, do you think you will escape God’s judgment? In this you said... Quote: He should not be second guessed and never do something going GOD has to Forgive me because I repented after I did this sin. Well No he doesn't. Are you saying that you don't feel that God forgives you for a sin? If you have sinned, and you have repented with full forgiveness in your heart - God forgives you and do not doubt that. God is merciful and forgives those who forgive others and those who ask for forgiveness. 3nodding I'm glad you enjoyed the meeting biggrin

~Well when you live a life like this ~>(Sin,repent, sin, repent, sin, repent) Then on top of it knowing that you committed a sin every time and do this regularly your just thinning your chance's. because Being a Christian is a life style not a title you can drop every time you do something bad, Then pick it back up when you repent. So in general when you choose to be a Christian you have to stay a christian you can't turn it off and on. This is something that GOD does not like at all
Now Judgement I didn't say anything about judgement. So if you could point that out thanks

Quote: Well when you live a life like this ~>(Sin,repent, sin, repent, sin, repent) Then on top of it knowing that you committed a sin every time and do this regularly your just thinning your chance's. Sinning and repenting will happen to every Christian because we are human beings and we will make mistakes. We must never get tired of repenting from sins. Some of us will struggle with a sin and continue to struggle with it, but through God, we can make things right with Him. God forgives when we ask for forgiveness if we forgive others. Matthew 5:14 - 15 NIV:
For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins. And God forgives through his mercy and grace. It's only as simple as asking: 1 John 1:9 NIV:
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.God knows that we will face temptation, but He gives us the tools to combat sin and God doesn't give us more than we can handle. Ephesians 6:10 - 17 NIV:
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
1 Corinthians 10:13 NIV:
No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.Making mistakes of falling into sin can happen to us as Christians, but there is always a way out and that way is only through God. Quote: Now Judgement I didn't say anything about judgement. So if you could point that out In accordance to this you said, "Sad news for him he is forever covered in sin for it says in Revelations (not sure exactly) he is forever bounded to Hell." You do not know that he is forever covered in sin and going to Hell - that is passing judgement that only God can do. One of the many people out there that had said when the world would end had supposedly repented so perhaps he made things right with God. These people can make things right with God before they die, so we can't judge whether they will be going to Heaven or Hell. It is not for us to decide. Where in the book of Revelation does it say that he is forever covered in sin? You say you aren't sure as quoted earlier so I cannot believe you without in-context scriptural evidence.

Sorry after reading through Revelations twice I found this And I must add that I was talking about Gods Jugdement Revelations 22:18-19~18:For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of this Prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: ~19:And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this Prophecy, God take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.and since I have a KJV Study Bible (In the fact that KJV is older, it is closer to the original writing of the books we call the bible) Now in my Study notes it says and I quote Quote: The Warning here covers both who add to John's prophecy and those who would diminish it. Neither will be tolerated Now That the guy in October of 2011 said unto the world God has spoken to me he said he is coming at this date and time to deliver his Judgement. Now with that said if God did come at this point in time he would be a Prophet. But God did not come to deliver his Judgement did he, no because we are still here. So it makes him a false Prophet because the bible told us No one will know of his coming Mark 12 :31-32-33 ~ 31:Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.~32: But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. ~33 Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.I put this in red Because Jesus Spoke it. Now the Study of that Quote: No one except God knows the exact time of the coming of Christ. But by referring to the event as "that day" Mark taps into the richness of the Old Testament writings about the day of the lord -- a day of judgement for both Israel and the surrounding nations (Amos 5:18-20); Zephaniah 1:7,15-16). The day marks the end of the present evil age and the beginning of the coming age of righteousness. Thank you and God Bless

You said "covered in sin for it says in Revelations(not sure exactly) he is forever bounded to Hell", which is too extreme of a statement for us to make without any proper scriptural evidence. Revelation 22:18-19 simply tells us about adding or taking anything away from the scroll of prophecy. I see no where in the verse you posted where it mentions that someone who predicts the end of the world is going to Hell forever. I believe that a person who makes a mistake such as this is able to repent. I believe the verse you are looking for regarding only God knowing the day is found in Mark 13:32 - 34. Yes, God's words reign true - only He knows the hour. I still see no where where it says that if someone predicts the future they are covered in sin and forever bounded to Hell. It's not scriptural. God can forgive sin when a person asks and will forgive their sin if they forgive others. The point is: We don't know exactly if he had repented or not, or if he repented if it was genuine or not in God's eyes, and if he didn't repent as to why he didn't do so. Those things are not for us to decide or judge. Those things are between that man and God. If someone claims they know when the end of the world is, we simply must disregard it because we know that it isn't true according to God's word, not judge the soul of the person who made the claim.

Quote: He used God that's what made him hell bound...... He 'used' God? I take it you mean this as in when you use someone for something without any true regard for their feelings or wants? Of course as some put it we shouldn't use God when we're in trouble, or when something goes wrong. We should talk and walk with the Lord daily. However, I still see no scriptural evidence that this man is hell bound and probably never will because we are not to decide who goes to Hell and who goes to Heaven because we never can read man's heart. As a hypothetical example: A person that attends church where you attend you may think is saved and following the Lord and they may show it, but inside they could be harboring wicknedness and sin without wanting to truly repent so they "pretend" to be saved when you may think this person is saved. Meanwhile, that wild teenager down the block that has a drug addiction and is always getting into trouble may have actually repented and doesn't feel anyone may accept them in church so they don't go, but they want to serve the Lord. How can we know these things? We simply can't know 100% who is saved and who isn't. Quote: Sorry I tried making it easier for you to understand You never need to apologize for trying to explain your perspective on something. It is good to test the spirit in accordance to 1 John 4:1, and that is what I have done as well. Quote: if you were truly a believer of god this guild wouldn't be Private it would be public because god went to the homeless and the broken and you are only treating to that already their. This guild is labeled as "Private", yes. "Private" according to the Gaia guilds means that non-members can view and read all the posts in this guild, they are just unable to respond unless they become a member. I also do this to protect the guild and it's members from some of the unnecessary trolling that may occur in a Christian guild. This way, everyone can read the posts and responses, but those who are not members can't say post an inappropriate posts whenever they feel like it. My duty as a guild leader is to provide the safest and most constructive Christian environment that I am able to. If there are those who even wish to witness outside of the guild, they may do so. Quote: and you say you don't judge but why are you judging me because i coughs a flaw in your work I'm quieting the guild and I hope that god can bring peace to U. I am not 'judging' in the sense of saying whether you are going to Heaven or Hell - I cannot determine that. Only God can determine that. I can't say, "You're going to Hell." or, "You're going to Heaven." because it's not my place and I don't know where you will be going. I was testing the spirit, and you haven't been able to provide scriptural evidence to express that your point was clear and true. You have done your duty by answering questions, but the questions don't clarify that your statement was right according to scripture. Quitting the guild is completely your decision. God bless.
