 Name: Xue Qichen
Location: Everfree ForestIn a small clearing by a pool of water in the Everfree Forest, a rather odd looking creature hovered just above the rippling pool in a seated position as though meditating. Upon first inspection one would think that this creature was a draconequus; but there was no chimerism seen on the creature. The entity was almost entirely serpentine in form, with pearlescent green body scales with a tan underside. But there were a few oddities to this creature's body; it had four rather sharp looking talons, a pair of short antlers atop its head, and a mane of brilliant red that ran from around its neck all the way to the tip of its tail where it formed into a fan-like frill.
The creature let out a somewhat annoyed grumble as his brow furrowed to the sound of some rustling amongst the bushes ringing the clearing in which it was meditating. "Do you have to do that here? I'm trying to meditate." Name: Sonyah Dayeh
Location: Everfree ForestA head popped up from the bushes as a young unicorn stepped out; her horn was glowing the same violet color as her hair and she was acting as though she was looking for something. "There is an artifact buried somewhere nearby, I can feel it..." The young mare said, more to herself than to the creature; by the way she was acting the two of them seemed to know each other. She looked to be around 25 or so, but even then she seemed rather tall as she easily stood at even height with Princess Luna. The young mare continued to pace around the spot a few more times before letting out an exasperated sigh. "Perhaps I need to traverse a little further out to find it; you will come when I call you, Chen?" The mare looked over to the creature as she spoke, solidifying the fact of familiarity between the two of them. The creature, now known as Chen; lazily opened up one eye and looked back to the unicorn mare. "Fine, Sunny; but I don't want you wandering very far. You don't have your carpet and there are a lot of dangerous creatures out there."The unicorn, now known by the name of Sunny; rolled her eyes and giggled lightly. "Very well then, mother; I will be sure to call you when I need you." And with that, Sunny headed off a little deeper into the forest.

 Dark Lightning Location: The everfree forest lake. Dark stood before the lake just standing there looking out on the water as if he were meditating while standing or he was in a trance. He was hearing the sounds of nature and the water as he stood there in complete peace.

Location: On the road home (The Everfree Forest) from Ponyville.
The sun had begun to sink as the sisters walked home, Midnight appearing calm and pleasant while her younger sister Starlit lagged behind, her head thrown back dramatically. " If you stay like that, you're going to get a kink in your neck." Midnight said, nudging her sister with a back leg. " Besides, I thought you liked going into town." Starlit let out a groan and looked at her sister, speeding up to come even to her. " Yeah I do, it's the walking I hate! We live so far away!" the young unicorn groaned. Midnight only smiled and rolled her eyes. " Tell ya what, if you get some money and find a taxi that will come to our house, you can go into Ponyville whenever you want, rather than when we just need stuff." She said, knowing it would never happen. Starlit was still quite immature when it came to money and was always blowing it on sparkly clothes and interesting baubles. " Or you could just fly us there..." Starlit murmured. Midnight's ears clamped back to her head and she paused to make sure her cape was on properly before continuing. " Starlit, ponies are suspicious by nature and after the recent happenings in Canterlot with the royal wedding, now is not the time to have this tired old conversation." She sighed, entering the treeline. Starlit furrowed her brow " You know-" She began, but her sister turned and cut her off with a hoof " And if you keep it up, I'll make you dig worms for the baby Nactrkrapp again." She said, much to her sisters chagrin. " Well fine then! Let's have the tired old conversation about your mane again!" Starlit said, following her sister into the darkness of the trees.

Location: Everfree Forest, small wooded clearing near an alcove in the lake.With Sunny having scuttled off elsewhere into the forest, Chen now had the opportunity to meditate. The dragon like creature letting out a comforted sigh as he could hear nothing more than the silence of the forest. In his meditative state, Chen could feel the chi around him swirling; could sense all the little creatures living out their daily lives in the forest as countless insects skittered this way and that and fish flitted about beneath the murky surface of the water. Typically, Chen's ability to sense chi was limited to about 15 feet from himself; when in a meditative state his chi sense extended nearly 4 times that distance. He could tell where Sunny was; but as far as he could tell there was no other large creatures within range of his chi sense. Name: Sonyah Dayeh
Location: Everfree ForestSunny's horn glowed brightly as she passed through the shade of trees, always scanning the ground beneath her as she looked about for any disturbances in the forest floor. Always the archaeologist, Sunny had thought that there would be a good probability that there were a few artifacts hiding among the roots of the Everfree forest. As Sunny continued to inspect the ground beneath her for artifacts, her horn glowing as her Artifact Finder spell searched; she was unaware that she was headed towards Midnight and Starlit, who where currently just outside of the range of Chen's chi sense.

Dark Lightning Location: The everfree forest lake. Dark heard rustling in the bushes coming from both sides of him and as if on instinct a great aura of pure fear came off him and surrounded the area around him. He hoped it would keep other away encase they were a danger to him. His curse....Fear. He never gave anyone a reason to fear him but his aura made them fear him anyways. He hated it but he also made use of it. He sat down along the edge of the water and calmed himself.

Location: On the way home, in the Everfree Forest."What are you talking about? I brush my mane and tail every day!" Midnight said, her voice hushed as she looked down at her sister. Although they lived there and could deal with it, both ponies knew it was best to not disturb the wildlife with their voices. "You do not! I've seen you get up and go about your day without bothering with them once! Then when you do brush them, they stick out all over the place like that." Starlit said, pointing to Midnight's head. "Oh yeah? Well maybe I'm not- Hang on." Midnight said, stopping to listen. Starlit stepped closer, looking around. "Yeah, well the animals in here are your specialty, not mine." She said, her voice even quieter. Midnight shook her head. She heard rustling that was somewhat out of the ordinary, searching but not carelessly like an animal foraging. "There's somepony else in here." She said. Starlit relaxed a little. "Zecora, maybe?" She asked. The two were used to occasionally running into the zebra in the forest. "Dunno. C'mon, let's go have a look." Midnight said, leading her sister towards the sounds. "Hello?" She called, her voice only a tad louder than before as she got nearer to the sounds.
It was then an almost overwhelming feeling of fear washed over her and she froze, shaking. She stood there, her brain suddenly whirling and panic beginning to spread, when she felt Starlit press close to her as it hit her too. She looked down at the pony, barely past fillyhood, and she forced herself to think rationally. Fear was just an emotion after all, right? And judging by the fact this fear had come out of nowhere, it must be the effect of some creature. Generally it was a defense mechanism and the creatures that used it weren't that strong. All they needed was to get over that fear... She put her front leg around Starlit, pulling her closer as she looked around. "Remember that poem Mom used to recite? Come on, say it with me - Oh, I'm not afraid of the beasties, I don't mind an absence of light, I can't say I'm scared of the sunset, or things that go 'bump' in the night. Come on, next part." Midnight coaxed. Starlit swallowed and spoke. "I've never been frightened of monsters that may want to bite off my head, not skeletons, witches or goblins or creatures that come back from the dead." Midnight joined her sister then, feeling her begin to relax as she recited a poem from their childhood. "I'm not at all worried of werewolves, or even a vampire's bite. I'm simply not scared of the beasties, so go on and turn off the light." They finished together. Midnight smiled and patted her sister, who was a little shaky but smiled back. "Come on then." Midnight said, and walked on.

Listiona Dark Lightning Location: The everfree forest lake. Dark felt on of the presences in the fear aura moving then. He felt the courage in the being and shook his head as the fear disappeared around the 2 ponies but instead surrounded them not touching them but instead...leading them toward him.

Location: In the Everfree Forest.Midnight felt a weird confusion as she started on the way they were originally going. Starlit spoke up on it. "We were going that way, why do I suddenly want to go this way?" She asked. Midnight bit her lip. "Well, I've had this happen before only to find a little Baku trapped in the mud." Midnight said. "So I think we should probably follow this. I figure whoever we heard before isn't panicking, so they should be alright. Come on." She said, and began trotting off quickly. Starlit pranced in place a little "Midnight, I want to go home!" She called, worry evident in her voice. As her sister began disappearing however, she hurried after her. It wasn't long before the smell of water came to them, and shortly after they came upon a lake. The lowering sun lit up the area and reflected off of the water, and Midnight could see somepony off along the other side of the lake. As the feeling leading them subsided, Midnight slowed. "Starlit, get behind me." The older pony whispered before clearing her throat. "Hello, are you lost?" She called, her voice calm.

Ria_The_Wolf12 Listiona ((It is common courtesy when multiple people are roleplaying together to maintain an order to the posts; when a person is skipped over it makes more work for them to catch up to avoid becoming the '3rd wheel'... Therefore I would be very grateful in the future if the two of you didn't jump over my turn and give me time to create a decent response post.))
Location: Everfree Forest, small wooded clearing near an alcove in the lake.Chen was calmly meditating as he floated above the little pond-like alcove to the lake of the Everfree forest; that was, before he felt something push against his chi sense. Pure, unadulterated fear pulsed out like a wave from one corner of his chi sensing range to the next. He flinched, turning about quickly as his first instinct was to turn around and run; but then he remembered that Sunny was still around. Chen shot up into the air; hovering high above the treetops as he looked to the source of the strange entity that is capable of actually projecting fear. Name: Sonyah Dayeh
Location: Everfree ForestSunny was still busily looking about for an artifact, the sot pinging of her horn still suggesting that she was somewhere close. But because of the tree roots, it was hard to tell where it was. "Where are you..." Sunny queried aloud as she trekked through the underbrush carefully. She heard the rustling of bushes near her, but knew that Chen was nearby and would've rushed to her aid the moment he felt something was off. The young mare then perked up as she heard the 'hello', squinting her brow through the darkness of twilight beneath the tree cover."Over he-he...." She froze, suddenly overcome with a level of fear she had never known before crept into her very soul. Those voices suddengly seeming so imposing a she was tuck on the spot; she tried to call out to Chen but couldn't find her voice. She just stood there, still as a statue. Her mind raced a mile a minute as she tried to figure out what was going on; why was she so afraid? Was she afraid of the voices that had called out to her? Was she afraid there was something dangerous? What about Chen? She wasn't that far away from him, and he hadn't come over; meaning that there wasn't any creatures nearby that he could sense or else he would've been right over. As the analytical side of the young mare finally began to rend back control of her fearful side; Sunny began to realize she was perfectly fine as she stood up straight and let out a sigh of relief. The voices sounded as though they were headed somewhere, from what she could tell it sounded like two ponies; ever curious, Sunny headed in the way that they were, almost as if drawn into following them. Chen, however was moving toward where he had least felt Sunny; having been broken from his meditative state the young Lóng could no longer sense much further than 15 feet and therefore couldn't tell where Sunny was. He could tell, however that whatever was emanating fear at him had stopped and was now almost pulling at his chi sense as though to invite him to come to them. But with his priority being about Sunny's safety he was going to look for her first and foremost to ensure that she was safe. He landed where he last felt her presence, spotting hoof-tracks headed in the direction that he could feel the beckoning sensation to be coming from. From the air, he could also see another two sets of hoof tracks headed in the same direction. "What the heck?" Chen queried aloud as he shot off in the direction of the tracks, as well as the direction of the beckoning sensation tugging at the chi around him.

Dark Lightning Location: The everfree forest lake. "Lost is a irrelevant term....i protect the lake...and the object inside. What brings you here through my field of fear?" He said looking at them. Even looking at him could cause one to cringe. "It seems 2 others are in my field of fear." He said as well.

This pony comes out of nowhere, sets up some weird force field, and then asks me what I'm doing here? Not to mention, scaring Starlit in the process? she thought. She stood up straight, her chest out and her head erect as she began walking towards him, Starlit following. "Coincidentally, I [i[live here." She said, drawing near to him, her eyes bright and only a slight touch of attitude in her otherwise calm voice, and while her statement was technically incorrect, she actually lived a little deeper in and farther to the West, she figured he knew that she meant not literally right there. "As it were, we were on our way home when you frightened the daylights out of my little sister." She said. Starlit's brows furrowed as she looked up at Midnight. "I wasn't that scared..." She murmured, scuffing her hoof in the dirt and somewhat embarrassed. Seraphina de Romanus ((Apologies, I merely assumed you'd catch up. I figure more people will eventually join and taking turns may be tossed out the window, but as there is only three of us I suppose it is entirely doable.))

Listiona ((It's alright, but I would prefer not to have to 'catch up' especially since we've only just started. As well, usually when there are more people coming in they begin to pair off so that ordering posts isn't really required.))
Location: Everfree Lake.Sunny wasn't far behind the two ponies that she had heard in the forest as she came out of the clearing. As such, she had heard a bit of the interaction between the strange pegasus and two two unicorn. "I thought it was strange for two unicorn to be wandering about in the Everfree Forest, and for a pegasus to be sitting by the lake..." The young Saddle-Arabian unicorn said thoughtfully as she placed a hoof under her chin in thought. "Though one thing confuses me, how is it that you managed to project fear out like that;" Sunny said as she turned her attention towards the unknown pegasus standing before the lake. "I have never felt fear like that before, it took me a few moments to rationalize myself back to a normal state of being." Name: Xue Qichen
Location: Everfree Lake.It was at that moment that Chen arrived on the scene; spotting Sunny standing before three unknown ponies, the young Lóng shot out of the sky and landed between Sunny and the three unknown ponies and took a wushu stance. The quills of his brilliant red mane shook violently, sounding like a hoard of angry rattlesnakes. "Are you alright, Sunny?" Chen questioned his partner as he looked amongst the unknown group defensively, his sharp talons glistening dangerously in the darkness. Sunny gasped lightly at the sight of Chen coming out of nowhere so quickly as he came to what he believed to be her defense. "I am fine, Chen; there is no need to worry. You can calm down now."

Location: In the Everfree Forest.Midnight looked at him, then the few feet between them. "Okay then." She said before looking around at the odd little group. "Well anyway, My name is Midnight Song and this is my little sister, Starlit." She said. "And forgive me for saying so, but you my friend are a very different dragon than the ones we usually see around these parts." She said, looking the Lóng over. "If you are a dragon at all that is, I daresay I'm nowhere near an expert on them, though I'd like to think I know a smidge more than the general populace. It's entirely possible that you aren't a dragon at all, your defensive stance there was a little different than what you usually see in dragons, even the more lithe ones-" She felt a hoof on her flank then and looked to see her sister giving her a stare. "You're doing it again, it's getting embarrassing." Starlit said quietly. It would seem the younger pony surpassed the elder when it came to social interactions. She put on a smile and came abreast with Midnight. "It's nice to meet you, and may I say your mane is lovely!" She offered.
