((A character was changed, so this thread will be restarted. :3))
There was still a distinct n** in the air. It wasn't truly cold, really, but there was a chill in the pre-dawn twilight that could be interpreted as either uncomfortable or refreshing. The city was quietly peaceful for the most part, and the park certainly maintained that mood. A few cyclists were headed here or there, and the occasional jogger was paying homage to the fitness gods before work. It was very pastoral.
One Minna Adair was walking along a path, feeling rather at peace...despite the winged little sphere darting around her head and often swooping uncomfortably close. She has a quiet little smile on her face, just enjoying the outdoors without her cumbersome hat and dark glasses. Things are so much more alive without them...not that the smells and the feel of the air and such weren't lovely in and of themselves. She did appreciate those, but...cleared sight was a bonus.
She was wearing a light sweater, though, not taking full advantage of being able to show her skin to the open air. She didn't want to catch cold, either. She needs to be healthy to take care of her new...friend.
The switch newly-dubbed "Zaagade" was just as excited as a flying tennis ball could be, exploring this and that. His topaz only shone faintly in the dim twilight.

From about a hundred yards in front of Minna, a sizable, dark man called only Tabansi is out jogging, taking in the undeniable nicety of the coming day. He was jogging, alright, but had no real interest in toning up at the moment. A bright, sharp looking light precedes him by about five feet, translucent wings flapping madly.
"Stop! Tancred! Where are you going?" The fellow calls, as the astral switch zooms forth to see just what this other eerily similar tennis ball was doing flitting about without calling attention to itself. Tabansi chases, but for every step the dark man takes Tancred flaps a little harder, gradually widening the gap between them.

Zaabade was a bit taken aback at the shiny switch, but only startled...there wasn't an ounce of suspicion anywhere in the creature. He streaked towards the other excitedly, flying around it in a tight circle, and then streaked off towards Minna to share his new discovery.
He so excited by the other switch enjoying the game and following, both moving together as tough mentally linked, that he wasn't paying good attention to Minna. He swerved at exactly the wrong moment in his flight, and both switches together were able to coax Minna to sit in the most abrupt of ways with a surprised little cry.
It only hurt a little, and a wry, truly amused smile graced her face as the Topaz switch spun in place a for few moments. She raised her palms together, and Zaagade alighted in them most contritely. "You," she noted, "fluctuate between 'blessing' and 'terror' more quickly than any creature yet alive." She patted it, though. No harm done.

The star switch flits about the both of them in an ever widening circle, thoroughly enjoying this new game of chase the human who isn't running.
Tabansi skids to a stop just in front of them, reaching out to snatch Tancred out of the air and hold him.
"Miss, forgive me, are you alright?" Tabansi asks of Minna, having seen the fall. "I cannot keep a hold on this little devil."

Minna smiles at him reassuringly. "It's quite all right. I've certainly fallen before...and have even done so at the behest of this little creature before." She laughs softly as she tries to work her way to her feet. "I believe that he was just as startled and excited to see another of his own kind as can be. "
Zaagade has taken to sitting in her hair. He's observing the other switch and its parent most intently...but isn't quite done with his sheepishness enough to brave flying.

"I am relieved." Tabansi loosens his hold on Tancred enough for the switch to flutter out and takes his usual place by his keeper's right shoulder. Tancred, though a bit more restrained than he was a moment before, still seems terribly fascinated in this new switch.
"Still, I feel responsible. Were you heading somewhere in particular? I must make this up to you, on behalf of the little devil," Tabansi says, keeping his sight upon the two switches.

"I wasn't, really...just heading towards the beach to watch the sun rise." Minna smiles. "It's really fine, please don't trouble yourself. I must admit curiosity, though, about the fact that you're accompanied by of these creatures as well...until perhaps fifteen seconds ago, I thought it to be an unusual phenomenon. If you really feel the need to make something up to me...perhaps talk to me a bit, if you have the time?" Her expression is undeniably disarming.

Tabansi considers this for a moment, looking to Tancred. Of course he wants to talk... meeting another person with a switch, all but butting heads even, is simply too profound an event to let go that quickly.
"It would be a privelege." He lowers his head a bit, respectfully. "My name is Tabansi. May I ask yours?"
Tancred flutters. The adult talk is starting to bore him.

The albino smiles, and returns the gesture. "Minna Adair. It's a pleasure to meet you, Tabansi."
Tancred's fluttering is the breaking point for the topaz switch. He finally bounces out of Minna's hands excitedly and takes a couple of blindingly quickly loops around both humans, trying to coax the other switch into another game of chase.
Minna laughs softly. "...and this is Zaagade. His name means 'sunrise' in my father's language, which is a large part of why we are taking such a long walk this morning. I want him to have a clear appreciation for his namesake."

"Zaagade...?" Tabansi thinks about this, watching in amusement as Tancred waits exactly 2.548 seconds before zipping after the topaz switch, fluttering madly to keep up.
"You know, I would never have taken you for Ojibwe," the star switch's guardian remarks. His eyes don't leave the switches though... he has no idea if a switch can hurt itself, but its best not to leave that to chance.

Minna is quite surprised at that, and looks away from the switches a moment to look at Tabansi. "My albinism makes it difficult, and my grandmother's irish features further distance me from norms. I must say, I'm impressed...few can identify the language, and you don't strike me as Ojibwe, either."

Tabansi keeps his eyes on the careening tennis balls, though.
"I am a scholar of sorts, is all. I adore studies of the past." He smiles at her, big and broad. "Though in all my travels I have never met someone with albinism. You have made this a red letter day, miss Minna."

Minna smiles...blushes a little. She isn't put aside, though. "Well. A day starting well before 'day' is even official is certainly a wonderful thing. Would you and your switch like to accompany Zaagade and me to the seaside to watch the sun rise? I would still very much like him to see it."

"Certainly, right Tancred?" The star switch flutters again, looping, in what isn't much of an answer. "Fickle creature. Shall we go then?"

The albino nods, and sets off in that direction. Zaagade seems most startled at that and quickly zips after her, settling on her hair though vibrating with excitement and no doubt about to spring again.
