so even though this guild isn't really used for posting/chatting, I figure a chat thread would be good if people just want to drop in and say hi or see what's up. also if you want to do a specific thread to discuss something specific, (i guess?) the place to do that is the Chatterbox forum (where this thread is located), the front page/main forum has usually been uncluttered rules reminderso, what's up? did you guys like this year's spirit week?

This was buried under the other thread forums, in a honesty.
Ja, I liked this year's Spirit Week. Two weeks was a stretch, but a good one!
I personally feel a little sad, but this is more on me.
I wanted more from Spirit Week. I wanted that first-three-years feel.
Where the thread moved 30 pages a day,
where the thread reached 1000 posts a week,
where the class competition was more than just
midnight screenies and thread chatting.
I should have done more, personally,
but to be cheery, I loved this year's Spirit Week.
I felt like we had a dedicated group of returners who
reminded me why I'm still around and why I still have more to give
to the event.
That said, I'll probably be around Gaia more often if I can swing it.

it's hard to replicate the power of an announcement or community spotlight though, pretty sure thats what really gave it the push next year we should look into seeing if we can get a spot on like the blog on the front page maybe?

That might be a good idea (in all honesty, the main page is where I even knew about the event).
I enjoyed participating this year, I even got three of my friends involved (a first!).
Like everyone wanted the second week, but on the second day, I didn't feel the same vibe as on the first week.
But hey, I came out making two friends from GSW, so I'm happy 3nodding

i don't think we'll do the second week again: it was supposed to be kind of a special thing, and if we do it again it kind of makes it less special like im sure if we asked the community they'd say omg you should totally do two weeks but then half of those people won't show up razz and yeah, not many people participated.. there's already not as many people participating in gsw as a whole, and keeping the momentum going for two weeks was like ehh i guess for some people

The second week definitely needs to be a minimal use thing. Even every five years would be pushing it. We shall see.
We just need more suxiness, in all honesty.
