For this week, I think it's important that we all pray that ourselves, and those around us grow closer to God and become more conscious of His grace in our lives.

When you constantly bog yourself down in negativity, let the world's stresses get you down, or rely on your own efforts to stay afloat, your spirit suffers. Assuming people in this guild are in their teens to twenties, all you ever hear about our age group is how underemployed/unemployed we are, how we don't work hard, and how bleak opportunities are. Then you look at the world today and see the tragedies and how whatever country you may be from, there's always laws coming to fruition to take God out of the picture. When everything falls a part, who can stand?

It is then we must realize, that we are to rely on God's grace for EVERYTHING. His grace is sufficient for our weakness. Need Him to provide? Rely on Him, cast your cares upon Him. Do you have a hard thing to do? Receive His love for you and speak His promises. Need power? Rely on Christ's finished work on the cross to give you strength.

Focus on RELATIONSHIP and RECEIVING. Not Traditions and doing.

When you begin to rely on His grace, people will notice the peace that God gives to you and will ask you about it. You are also not tossed to and fro with the latest bad news on the internet, or the latest inflammatory statement on social media. God's grace gives you the strength to take on your day to day and then some!

Be Blessed this week!

Hey guys,

I'm sure you saw the post about praying for victims of tragedy, but you should also add to your prayers to pray for your nation (if you happen to live in the US, please pray for our nation). There are a lot of tragedies, bombings, accidents, troubling legislation, and violation of rights happening in this country. Please pray that this nation turn back to God, and that people affected by these experience healing.

Enjoy your weekend,

Ohana

Not a problem, in fact I can empathize with some of what you're going through. I once held a part-time 2nd job at a coffee shop. I was nervous because my main job wasn't doing well, and the coffee job was doing even worse. I prayed and asked God to help me bring my skills up to par, but to no avail. I was forced to resign in order to leave on good terms with the company.

But God is good! Even though I had to leave that opportunity, God opened the door to my current job in July. God knows what you need before you ask:

"Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
“Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble." Matthew 6:25-34 ESV.

It's easy to get anxious, but I encourage you this day to trust God and believe His promises smile No matter what the outcome, you're ultimately taken care of because you have a relationship and salvation through Jesus Christ! When this is all over, you get to be in Heaven with Him biggrin

Best Regards,

Ohana

Please pray for this nation concerning violence with Guns. I remember watching the news as they did a timeline of mass shootings, most of which have been committed fairly recently. Please pray for a revival of this nation's spirit to not murder.
