Greehde, is the city of gambling and money, referred to as the City of Gold. Many a year ago it was a giant bastion for the soldiers of Asmodius during the Jewel War, however, over time the bastion would see its own demise as its use became less and less useful. It became the centre of gambling and trade between soldiers and now it is home to the biggest Black Market in Occulas.

It lies in the eastern desserts of Albanoch, and has not been above ground since its retirement as a bastion. Due to all the gambling, the city itself is rich, whether all the money is real, fake or stolen can be debated. The Blackmarket can be found in the lower up-turned pyramid-like section of Greehde, now buried beneath hundreds of feet of sand. The towers on the sides or the wasted sewers beneath the city are the only way into the Black Market. Greehde largely reflects its inhabitants, as being compared to the term 'greed', its people are usually influenced by it.

A glob of saliva hung perilously from the boar man's mouth as he leaned over the front gates shouting down at someone who was fleeing the scene. The masked rogue dashed between people walking in and out of this surprisingly busy town. The boar pleaded passerby's to stop the thief, but none even payed him any attention. Just as the masked rogue was near however, Almualim reached out and snatched his wrist, stopping his momentum and knocking him on his back. With the other hand, he reached into the thief's bag and pulled out his golden pipe. Don't try that again, he threw his wrist down. The hustle and commotion around him had died down. Almualim realized then, he was the center of attention. Whispers and the sound of unsheathing blades was enough to make Almualim let out an exasperated sigh. A strong hand grabbed him by the bicep and pull him into an alleyway nearby. Before he could protest, the hand went over his mouth, Silence you fool, or your heroics will get you killed. Almualim humored the idea of being slain by the likes of street vermin, but snapped back to reality with the sound of the woman's voice.
Heroics? I simply reclaimed my own property. He could not distance himself from her as this was a tight alleyway, but from what he could tell, she was very attractive. He did not mind their conversation at this proximity, Well, since your obviously new here, the law has been you keep what you take here in the lower slums of Greehd. One hand on his chest was surely to keep Almualim from moving in any closer than he had. She was already aware of all the space he had behind him. Well, thank you for the update, but why help me? She looked away from him but didn't turn away her face. Your sword, her face began to blush, I've seen it before.... in a painting... from Magis Hypno, the potion and poisons dealer in downtown Greehd. His eyes widened with surprise, then squinted at the coincidence.

We can fight our desires

Fauna was busy roaming the streets of Greehde, something that took more energy out of you than you would expect. Almost every corner was a planned mugging spot, and every tavern was waiting to rob you in a game of gambling. But not Fauna, she wasn't stupid enough to get herself into strange betting games or black markets, she was normally the one skipping the trash-talk and scamming getting straight to the point and getting what she wants. Greehde wasn't her favourite place in the desert, even if it was the only place on the east side.

However the sudden commotion over a thief running through the streets caught her attention. She was only down a thin alleyway when she was a blur rush past the opening to the main streets. Intrigued, she strutted out the alleyway and shoved past some wannabe's on the corner, bursting out onto the paths. As she reached the core of the problem she found herself amongst a crowd that was loosely gathering around a mysterious guy with a needlessly large sword. She only looked away for a moment before he was snatched away. Fauna knew when something fishy was going on, and if anything she could get something out of it.

Her heels clipped on the ground with each stride as she neared another alleyway. She looked over her shoulder to make sure no one was following her, and then she firmly pressed herself against the warm brick wall, listening in on the conversation going on around the corner. The law?, Fauna repeated in her head, she pulled a face to herself whilst thinking she's not wrong. But it was what came next that caught Fauna's curiosity, it was the mention of his sword, apparently it was of some importance. She kept tight against the wall in the hopes of hearing some more gossip.

Take me to this Magis Hypno then. I have questions for him. He thought to himself of how easily he had found a lead to his past. His blade depicted in a painting was odd enough to wonder if it was fate, or an intricate plot. He held out a hand to lead the way, and with a quick look into his eyes, the blonde girl obeyed. As they stepped out of the alleyway, he could not help but notice the red head standing by. He was already fond of the amount of attractive women he encountered in such a short distance.
Pushing his way through the crowd, he couldn't help but notice the lack of trouble the girl had to find her way. She must have been here for quite some time, since every street and gutter looked the same to him. A moment without her guidance would be worse than being abandoned in that damned desert. Not much further, she implored for the fifth time. His exaggerated sigh was enough to let her know of his dying patience. Then suddenly, she made a quick left into another alley and into the darkness. The smell of blood was stronger here than the rest of the city. Welcome to the dankest, most vile part of Greehde, downtown. Her smile was so brief, he wondered if it had ever happened at all. His eyes narrowed as she continued up a flight of stairs into a marked door. Magis Hypno's Poisons and Potions. The smell of the red head was for some reason still nearby, yet he could not sense her. This both intrigued and worried him more than the painting, he thought.

The proclaimed City of Gold and wonders as it was, was just as the rumors, pictures and stories foretold. Left the fae gawking like a fish as she stared at the odd struggles and seeing the similarities in her bow no less; as her bow had originated from her. Wondering lower into the levels below and within, well, the awe left wake to a more surprising atmosphere that left Quin'in wanting.

"...more like bleak versus black..." she mumbled as she walked down the path that led lower into the more unseemly areas. She had been told to not wander off, though she could take care of herself, this was still a place that was dangerous. Course crowded as it was, it didn't take much to 'wonder off' when the crowd was as thick as it was. "...where did Fauna go?"

Hearing a commotion, Quin'in overlooked in turn of searching for her travel companion. If it wasn't for her bright red hair, the fae girl may not have found her friend at all. Seeing her at last tucked away within an alley but not overly hidden, she gave a sigh of relief. It seemed Fauna had wandered off more then the fae child.

"Fauna!" Quin'in called waving an arm over her head before rushing across the open area, maneuvering through the crowd with a grace only fitting of her heritage. "You told me to wander off, but looks like you did some of that yourself," she said with a smile while teasing her friend good naturally. "Find anything interesting?

As the man with the abnormally large sword and his accomplice left the alley, Fauna found herself quickly taking a step to the side and leaning back against the wall surface of the wall. She kept her head low and watched there feet move by without looking up until she let her curiosity get the better of her. It was after following them down a single street that Quin'in called her name and distracted her.

Fauna looked over her should in the direction of Quin'in's call, whilst double-taking back at the mysterious man and woman several feet from here. Quin'in weaved through the bustling people like a snake. As she approached Fauna, Fauna half-listened as she looked back at the couple getting further away from them. At her question Fauna said "two things actually, one man probably over-compensating for something and a lady who knows her way around quite a bit. fancy an adventure?" she asked, looking back over her shoulder Quin'in and continuing to move through the crowd. She looked back with tease of her own.

The door, although being old and wooden, made no noise as she pushed the door open to the emporium of solutions. She stepped into the darkness without hesitation and disappeared into the thick black veil of shadow. C'mon!, she yelled from within, but Almualim only stared from the doorway. She let out a sigh and clapped twice, the light appearing in an instant as if from nowhere and blinded his eyes for a moment. His ears however, twitched to every noise in the radius. His nose catching the smell of the curious redhead and another sweet scent, clearly distinguishable in this blood soaked part of the city. He stepped inside and the door closed on its own.
Vials of all shapes, sizes and odors line every cabinet and shelf. Several cauldrons in one corner bubbled fluids and a caged animal of which species he could not even begin to describe. A cough and sniff announces the man had entered the room, but nothing else could have alerted Almualim of his presence. The ambiance of the room made him invisible to all of his senses. A dangerous characteristic for such a feeble looking old man. His slender frame was draped by a long robe of blue and gold that trailed far behind him into the room he had emerged. He paced to the cage of the animal and pulled a tray from under and poured what was surely its waste into of the bubbling cauldrons and it changed colors. The aroma was to die for, literally. "What can I do for you," he asked the girl, completely ignoring him.
Well, sir. I think I've found the sword in your painting. His expression neither changed or seemed to pay any attention to Almualim, but in a blink was observing the blade with great intent. "Ah, yes. I guess your are worthy of being a hunter after all, Bee." Almualim backed away as the man was already behind the counter mixing together several bottled of fluids. "He should be a worthy final exam." He was already making his way into the room from which he came. "Kill him." Bee wasted no time in pulling out an exaggerated katana and throwing herself at him. Caught by surprise, Almualim had just enough time to parry the sword, but the recoil knocked them both to opposite walls, several bottles smashing to the ground. What the hell!
With insane speed, Bee slashed his blade backing him up more and more until his back was against the wall. Almualim was losing his patience and grabbed her skinny wrist, throwing her against a cauldron, attempting to swing his blade but she was already coming fast. the fluid was now corroding through the floor and the building began to tilt to one side. His blade was too slow for her and he was once again backing up to her repetitive quick slashes. Heat began to ripple from his body and her eyes widened, Oh no. The fumes from something in that room ignited and detonated the roof off of the building. The four wall remained standing but Almualim was launched through the front door, through the stair's guard rail and several feet below. He just laid there for a moment, his clothes smoking and ashed, the smell was powerful.

Quin'in seemed intrigued with the information Fauna had managed to divulge from this city of liars and beggars, and was happy to follow her. Together the two girls kept a reasonable distance between the burly man and themselves, doing their best to weave through the bustling crowds like snakes. Their nimble physiques had no problem navigating the swirling cascade of bodies. Although, she really wished the smell would freshen up, she had to screw up her nose around almost every corner finding a new piss-spot for the drunken sods that lost all their money gambling the night before. Eventually they went downtown, probably the most thuggish area in Greehde and the closest place to the underbelly of the city. Fauna and Quin'in kept close behind a wall as the two they followed stopped at a marked door atop a staircase. When she heard the sound of the shabby door close Fauna quickly jumped round the corner and found that there wasno way to spy. "Damn it" she cursed, "can't even get in there through the spirit world, they'll notice the door", she knew that even if they went invisible she didn't want to go through so much effort just to get a scoop. But she was too interested in this sword to just leave it here.

Upon closer inpsection, she stood next to the rails and dare not touch the filthy thing, but she inspected the door and slowly looked around, she looked to Quin'in and asked quietly "Do you get the same feeling I do?", she meant that slight feeling of dark magic. Stepping back she uttered "Perhaps we should wait."

But only a minute or so after they both heard a massive thud come from inside and she whipped her head round to look at the windows. "What was that?" she asked, raising a brow. A few moments after the building exploded so-to-speak, the hut-like roof blasted off and left behind a ruined carcass of a building. But at the same time Fauna had to duck quickly, a body burst from the door and flailing through the rails and over them, landing on the ground behind them. When she looked up, she saw the guy from before, smouldering hot. She suddenly felt excited and worried at the same time, looking between the man and Quin'in and shouting "WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?!", she instinctively grabbed her red and orange spear that unfolded and finished its tip off to a point with a "shing" sound as she stood up and got ready for anything crazy. Standing up she looked to the destroyed building and said to Quin'in "Who've we gotta kill?!" as if she was glad to be back in business.
If they put half the effort and financing into their existing game that they put into their newer games, they never would have had to make anything else.
That's very much subjective. Gaia didn't sell a whole lot in terms of item options for zOMG, and I really doubt that because of zOMG being successful they would have not made anything else. In fact the latter of that statement I can pretty much put money on. Whether or not zOMG was successful or not, they probably would have made more games and jumped on the FB bandwagon. Monster Galaxy currently gets 1.3 million monthly users. That is a number that zOMG could never reproduce without this site flipping from a forum based site to a completely game based site like Maple Story is. It really sucks that zOMG has been shelved for right now, but it is currently that way because of mismanagement of the game and the economic downturn. MMORPGs cost a lot of money and a lot of time, and since zOMG's continuation depended not only on the popularity of the game to Gaia's users, but on what Gaia brought in as a whole (and not just from zOMG), something was bound to happen. Thankfully they didn't end it's life like they did to Frontier Skies :<

He simply layed on his back and grunted in confirmation when the sweet voice asked of his condition. The heat was not what harmed him, but the tremendous force from the explosion. It seemed that the fumes of the potions where so volatile and artificial, that even the blast was beyond that of a normal detonation. The entire building was so reinforced as well with some sort of arcane magic, that none of the walls even crumbled, not the door splinter from the blast. Between the super-heated air and the solid construct, it equally to a bone crushing squeeze that would have killed anything else. Luckily, his skull was more solid than the bolts holding the door in place.
He coughed up some smoke as he struggled to sit upright. The ringing in his ears and the blur in his eyes left him disoriented for a bit. A laughter could clearly be heard, that of a little girl. Bizka Dakira rose from the billowing smoke of the open doorway. Bravo mister man! Looks like Magis Hypno was right. You are a worthy test, and resilient indeed. Now die! The ground cracked where she once stood as she jumped high into the air towards Almualim, completely ignoring the girls in the sidelines.

Quin'in attempted to speak with the man, getting slowly closer to him like a curious cat and nudging his shoulder with her foot. At first he seemed to not stir at all, but then he coughed up what seemed to be smoke, which caused some concern for Fauna. From his dazed state he attempted to properly awaken, but Fauna and Quin'in were joined by another woman, one that chuckled and spoke with more confidence that Fauna cared to understand. "who is this b***h?" Fauna asked Quin'in rhetorically. She completely ignored them, and instead headed straight for the man on the ground, leaving a destroyed floor in her jump. As she flew through the air Fauna took her spear and dismantled it in the maddle as it shifted and folded into two pointed pistols, she shot in the air above them, the bullets missing the woman only inches behind her.

For her curious efforts, though there was a pause, the fae girl received confirmation of him still being among the living. A groan and a bit of a cough that may have retained smoke from the explosion, Quin'in continued to hold her bow and arrow, however neither drawn or pointed at the stranger. Should something go wrong and she not have time to draw, Fauna had her back; like many time before.

Disoriented clearly from the explosion and flight, she watched him curiously as he struggled to rise into a sitting position and really see with his blurry unfocused eyes. The fae would have further assessed his injuries and mental state if it wasn't the sudden feminine laughter that interrupted them. The strange third woman was a bit unstable if Quin'in had been asked her opinion, which was only confirmed further as she jumped and left a small spiderweb of cracks in her wake.

Fauna's words were quiet accurate. But no further time was allowed as she charged and her redheaded friend sprang into action, firing off her pistols. All the while, Quin'in drew back her bow, the tense of resistence, the smooth touch of a feather against her cheeks, the warmth and glow of her magical bowstring beneath her finger tips. As soon as Fauna's shots ended, the fae was firing her own weapon at the girl as she stood over the strange. 3 bow arrows were drawn and left her bow on the same draw, all with the intention to knock back the strange hostile woman without much damage.

"I believe 'crazy' b***h would apply here Fauna," stated Quin'in with a smirk on her lips; her foal language having increased in the company of her colorful friend.

As for being underground, high into the air was still surrounded by buildings and using quick reactions, Bee used her sword to maneuver out of the line of fire from the red-head who so rudely interrupted her hunt. Plunging her sword into the wall to serve as a new platform, the quick thought of also bagging an elf and freak lover would serve as extra credit to her final exam. The three arrows however where a surprise, so she had no choice to duck down from one, leap with her requipped sword from another, and vanish into thin air from the last. We will see how long you've postponed his demise. I will be a hunter of the twelve!
Almualim was already on his feet as she disappeared. Thanks for the help. I'm not sure what that was all about. I am simply looking for answers to my past... he looks them up and down one last time, admiring their.. figure. Now if you will excuse me, I have a little girl to question. He looks up to where the girl was perched and realized he had no idea where to begin, or how to leave this hell hole for that matter. At that moment a wall of the potion and poisons emporium fell. As the dust cleared, a large crowd of societies rejects had collected in curiosity. He let out a sigh and turned back to the two women. Who might you two be?

This was one agile woman, she avoided pretty much everything they threw at her with more grace that a Robin dashing through the air. Quin'in's comment certainly tickled Fauna's humour, but by now she took it as everyday conversation with her, for Fauna's talking skills had started to rub-off on the elegant she-elf. The two girls had grown quite close, and were very in sync these days.

The crazy b***h as it were then blurted out some talk of this man's death and something else about the number 12. Moving her head back slightly with a confused expression, Fauna looked up at her in confusion. But before she could retaliate, the mystery man told them not to worry, and explained himself as he approached the woman. But then more chaos ensued and allowed for ther girl to escape. Fauna let out a great sigh and lowered his guns and her shoulders. She then heard him speak behind her to the both of them. Looking him up and down and replacing her weapons to blade-form, she ran a hand over her shoulder and brushed all her hair behind her. She announced "I'm Fauna Aurelius, be graced". Her hand had attached itself to her head, elbow high up above her as if to be showing off her body before imitating a kiss in the air to him. It was all a tease of coarse, she had no real interest in him at all, it was all a bit of fun.

Arrows had caught her off guard, though dodged, it was not without some form of effort on the crazy woman's part. Quin'in felt a sense of achievement in that, however still mentally kicked herself for missing regardless. The fae was about to notched another arrow and draw back her bow when the ambitious girl disappeared.

That left her and Fauna with this stranger, the one the redhead felt like running after. Slinging her bow over her shoulder the sea-green haired fae stepped to her friend's side as she gave her rather flirtatious greeting and introduction. Quin'in shook her head at Fauna behavior, the crowd ignored at their back.

"I am Quin'in Kovv...you are," she asked polity with a tilt of her head, a hand casually on her hip.
