Invisible Phantom

This is my first fan fiction that I've written that has a J-Rock star in it. I hope it's alright. I know it's not my best, but I hope you enjoy it.

Reina stood impatiently in the giant line. She just had to get one. It was her only chance to see him in person. If she missed her chance, she’d just drown in sorrow. The line was slowly decreasing. Reina was the last person in line. A slight breeze blew her long lavender hair behind her. Her blue eyes stared eagerly at the ticket stand. She waited more impatiently as the line started to decrease more.

She finally trotted up to the ticket booth, the middle school girls in front her leaving cheerfully with a ticket in their hands. Reina looked at the man selling the tickets and took out her wallet full of yen.

“Um…” she started quietly, “I-I want a ticket to Gackt Camui’s concert, please?” In all reality, she was very shy, no matter how much she tried to be outgoing and confident.

The man looked at her, “Sorry. Sold out,” he replied bluntly as he hung up a “Sold Out” sign on the glass.

Reina’s eyes welled up and she turned away glumly. Her only chance to see Gackt in person was now a fleeting dream to her. A hand gently patted her shoulder. Reina turned her head to see her friend, Rima, staring at her.

“Reina, are you okay? Did you try to buy a ticket?”

She nodded, “Yeah… But they sold out right when I got there… I missed my chance to be with my only hero.”

“Don’t worry. Look,” Rima giggled and held a ticket in front of her face, “I came here earlier and bought two. One of them is for you.”

Reina’s eyes widened at the ticket. She grabbed it quickly and squealed loudly to her heart’s content. She twirled around in circles holding the ticket close to her.

“Oh, Rima, thank you so much! I don’t know how I can ever repay you! Thank you, thank you, thank you!”

Rima stopped Reina’s twirling by grabbing her arms, “It’s all right. You don’t need to repay me back. Come on, we should get ready for his concert.”

Reina and her timid friend took their seats in the front row, right in front of the microphone that Gackt was going to be using in the show. Reina bounced happily in her seat.

“I can’t believe I’ll be sitting right in front of Gackt~!”

“I can’t believe I convinced my parents to let me borrow a little bit of money to get us tickets for these seats,” Rima giggled as Reina stood up, “Where are you going, Reina?”

“Huh? Oh, the restroom before the show starts,” she replied as she followed the signs backstage to use the restroom. Surprisingly, no other fan was back there as Reina walked backed there. It was quiet compared to the seat where her and Rima were. She got to the door and peek around the corner to see a tape saying “No Entrance” leading to Gackt’s dressing room. Reina daydreamed about sneaking back there, and knocking on the door to meet him.

Pulling herself back to reality, she sighed and turned to use the restroom, but bumped into someone who accidently knocked her on the floor, causing her to sprain her ankle in the process. Reina yelped in pain as she rubbed her ankle in pain. Tears were attempting to flood her eyes. However, another hand gently placed itself on top of hers.

“Excuse me,” a man’s voice spoke to her in concern, “I’m so sorry I ran into you. Are you alright?”

“Yeah, but I think I sprained my-“ Reina stopped herself when she looked up into the dark hazel eyes of Gackt Camui. Her face flushed and her jaw dropped, “Y-Y-You’re…” she stammered.

Gackt’s raven black hair, framing his perfect face, swayed as he chuckled, “Yes, I am. I’m assuming you’re a fan of mine. Pleased to meet you, Miss…”

“Um… I-I-It’s Azure.”

“Oh, Miss Azure. It really is a pleasure to meet you. Oh, here,” Gackt stood up, helping the nervous Reina up onto her feet by grabbing her hand, “Can I say something corny?”

“Huh? Oh, um… S-Sure.”

“I just wanted to say you’re more pretty than any other fan I’ve seen before,” he chuckled more.

Reina’s face heated up more. She nervously took her own hand away, and bowed, “Um… I-I’m sorry to have bumped into you!” She ran out of there before he could say anything else to her.

As Reina approached her seat, Rima looked up at her, “Oh, Reina, the concert’s about to start. I was worried you wouldn’t make it,” she noticed her friend was limping as she walked to her seat, “Is everything okay?”

She smiled at her, “Oh, yeah, everything’s fine. Don’t worry.”

The lights turned off, and many of the fans screamed and cheered for Gackt to get on stage. Reina looked up to see Gackt strutting on the stage, wearing black jean pants with a white tank top underneath a dark violet trench coat. He looked down at Reina, smiling, as her face blushed.

He grabbed the microphone, pointing down to Reina, and staring at her as he announced, “This first song is to a beautiful girl that I just met,”

The music started playing and the fans squealed with excitement. Reina and Gackt stared at each other throughout the entire concert, starting with his dedicated song “Flower” to her, to the very ending “Mizerable.”

After the concert, Rima and Reina walked home together. Rima had promised to stay over at Reina’s house for the night. She looked over at her friend, who became oddly quiet, and didn’t stop limping since the concert began.

“Um… Reina, are you sure you’re okay? You’ve been limping since you got out of the bathroom before the concert.”

Reina looked at her friend, giggling cheerfully in order to keep herself calm, “Don’t be silly. I just slipped on a small water puddle and twisted my ankle is all.”

She gasped, “Are you serious? You should sit down. You can’t be walking on that.”

“I’ll be fine, don’t worry.”

Both of the girls slightly argued back and forth about Reina’s safety when they saw a man standing on the front step of Reina’s house.

“Hey, Reina, do you know that guy over there? He looks familiar…”

She shook her head, finally realizing that she had dropped her wallet when she went to use the restroom, “Maybe someone’s returning my wallet? It does have my house address in it.”

The man looked over at both of the girls. Rima gasped and Reina blushed. Gackt was there, with her Hello Kitty wallet in his hand. He smiled happily and quickly trotted over to them. Rima grabbed Reina’s arm excitingly.

“Reina, Gackt is returning your wallet to you! Isn’t that just amazing?”

She nodded as he approached them.

“Hello there, Ms. Azure. I found your wallet, and wanted to give it back to you in person. So here,” he handed her wallet to her, “By the way, how’s your ankle? I still feel awful about what happened.”

Rima looked at her, “What exactly happened?”

“Oh. Well, I accidently bumped into her while going to my dressing room, and we both fell. However, she got hurt because I was so clumsy,” he and Rima laughed.

Reina stared at him, completely captivated by his humble behavior. He’s so generous and kind…

“So, the pretty lady’s name is Reina Azure?” he broke into her thoughts.

Reina giggled nervously, “Well, y-yeah.”

“Did you hear my song that I dedicated to you? I saw you in the front row, and couldn’t resist.”

Rima gasped, “You lucky girl!”

Gackt swiftly picked her up like a bride and headed over to the limo waiting for him, “So, wanna stay with me at the hotel? I already gave your mother the phone number of the hotel, my room number, and my cell number just in case she got worried about you. She knows you’ll be staying at the hotel for the night. There are two beds in my room.”

Reina blushed hard, “Um… Well… I…. O-Of course,” she managed to say.

Rima waved them off as they got into the limo and started driving off. Reina stared out the window, wondering what was happening, and why it was happening so quickly. She peeked over at Gackt, clearing her throat to get his attention.

“So, um… Why am I going to your hotel after we just met?”

He laughed, “Oh, sorry. I just thought you’d want to spend time together with me. I think it would be nice to get to know you more, Reina.”

Her cheeks flushed, “I-I see.”

He scoot closer to her, wrapping his arm over her shoulders, causing her to blush more, “I really do like you,” he looked away after he said that.

Reina stared up at him, her face blushing hard, “Well, I like you, too. A lot. However, I thought it was just a ‘fan crush’ or however you say it. I thought I was just a fan girl thinking too highly of herself.”

“What? You’re not thinking too highly of yourself. I think it’s sweet that you’ve had a crush on me for a while, even as just a fan. Sometimes, you just have to follow what you want, because you know something?”

She shook her head and he leaned in, whispering in her ear, “I had a crush on you since we met.”

Reina blushed hard, looking over at him, only to have his lips meet up with hers. It was the most sweet and gentle kiss she ever had in her entire life. Even though she was only seventeen, and had several relationships in the past, this kiss meant something more than anything she ever knew in her entire life.
