The savanna is a large stretch of land that is covered in grasses and plants that were mostly found in the plains of Africa on Earth. The climate is hot and dry and wet seasons alternate about every two years. There are also a few rocky, dry ridges and deserts. This is the home of the Wyverns.
Most of the animals here are large. Elephants, rinos, hippos, giraffs, and more depend highly on the large spans of grasses and the few crops of dry trees. All these large animals are the Wyvern's main pray, since they are the largest dragons. Very few of the other dragons even think of trying to challange the borders here, though few have attempted it.
Places within the Savanna:
>Wyvern Clan Nest - Main nest of the Wyvern clan.
>Central Water Hole - Largest watering hole in the Savanna. Even during dry seasons there is usually fresh water here. Many different animals gather here as well, so it is also a good hunting spot.

Tobias bided his time as he waited for prey to wander by. He was crouched down behind a few large bushes and patches of tall grass with his head sunk down beneath the thick, stubby branches of the bushes to hide his metal headpiece ((I don't know what to call it. xD)) from the glaring sun. If his head were out from beneath the bushes, the sun would reflect off the metal surface and frighten any prey nearby, as the strange light would warn them of his presence. A few gazelle and zebra had wandered by the patch of foliage, some even came as close as to snack on some of the green leaves, but he wasn't hungry for these small creatures, oh no. He wanted to find something big. He spied a regular rhino wander by, but he decided the hide was too thick and rough for him to take down easily. He considered waiting for some giraffes, as there was a small herd about 50 yards away, but he decided it was too far. The herd of zebra was coming back, so he decided he could catch a few of them. They came fairly close, then some decided to snack on the green leaves once more. He smirked a bit; this was too easy. He was hidden by the group of bushes; he wondered why they could smell his scent, but that didn't matter. In a matter of seconds, the large Wyvern had shot forward. There was a zebra directly in front of him, but he shot over it barely high enough to miss it, but his hind claws struck down and sunk into the back and neck of the prey. He wasn't quite done there, as his head shot to the side, grabbing another black-and-white crreature by the neck. The rest of the herd, alarmed and disgruntled, reared and bucked before fleeing as fast as their legs could carry them. Tobias, now holding two struggling creatures, flapped his large wings and lifted himself and his prey from the ground. This would be easier, he thought to himself, as he bit further into the zebra's neck, his fangs almost touching again. That creature stopped struggling, so he opened his jaws and let the limp creature fall to the ground. He lowered himself and his other struggling prey, and he lowered his head and snapped his jaws onto the neck of that creature, doing the same as he'd done to the other. Once that was done, he dropped that one as well. Pleased with his work, he landed next to his prey and bent down, pulling one creature forward by the leg. He snorted at his work; he -always- did everything alone, and this (partly) proved that point, and he began eating his prey greedily. After all, he -did- catch them both himself. Why should -he- share?

Eirena flew gracefully through the sky the movements of her wings and body flowing together like water. She brushed her wings down and then up to catch the warm current of wind, dipping to follow it and stay alloft. Her bright, colorful scales glittered sweetly in the sunlight, almost as bright as the jewry she wore. Her green orbs slid over the landscape, taking in the view of her lands bit by bit. She never grew tired of the sight of long herds of zebra below her and baboons sitting in trees in the distance. She took a intake of breath through her nose and caught the scent of a kill. There was along another smell mixed in. It was someone from her clan. Finally she saw Tobias come into her line of vision. Dipping her wing she went down to meet him.

((Yaaaaaay! Someone to RP with! XD;; ))
The black adult Wyvern heard the clan leader above, and could hear her descending. He paid her practically no mind as he continued gnawing and tearing at the victim to his surprise attack. Why -should- he pay attention to her? She -was- just the clan leader.

::The small chick hubbles about on his two little feet. His wings felt slightly heavy, but he kept them near trying to balance himself. He gave out loud squawks and chirps trying to find his mother. He couldn't find her. Zimwi-Ubawa suddenly felt very alone. Then, he caught the scent of meat and another wyvern. Maybe that was his mother! He scampered toward the source until he reached a big black male feeding upon a zabra carcass. He couldn't help but give out a low shriek of surprise. He knew he was in for it now::

His attention was drawn towards the chick as he let out a shriek of surprise. The adult Wyvern sneered at the chick. What was this, was he going to be surrounded by 50 other Wyverns of various ages? He snorted, glaring at the chick. "What do you want?" He really wasn't in the mood to play babysitter again.
