A fan fiction I wrote based on the game Slender. Enjoy.
The dirt crunched under your feet as you walked around aimlessly, trying to find them. You held your flashlight in your shaking hands you proceeded through the slightly dense forest. Where could they be? Collecting them was your only chance of finding a way out of this hellhole. He had already spotted you once. He will find you again. The thought made your stomach churn with sickening anticipation as you continued through the forest. You already found your first note on an abnormally large tree trunk, which had told you “Leave me alone!” What did that mean? You couldn’t think about those kinds of questions now… He was after you. And he will not stop.
You approached a small broken down red truck. If only it would work, you’d be able to escape alive. But the chances of an old, beaten down truck running for you were dwindling in the single digits. You didn’t want to be disappointed with having wasted time on a truck. Though when you walked passed it, you happened to glance over your shoulder, catching a glimpse of the note on the back of the truck. How lucky. Your second one out of eight. You quickly snatched it and started to turn around, stopping dead in your tracks. Don’t turn around. You know what’ll happen if you do. He will kill you. He is right behind you. A cold breeze picked up, letting out a low, eerie howl, causing you to run as quickly as your feet could carry you. Keep running. Don’t stop. Your eyes caught sight of a small concrete building up ahead. The perfect shelter.
As you entered the building, you had a strange feeling that there’d be a note somewhere in there. If so, then it is for certain that he will come after you in the building as well. Nowhere was safe. You had to painfully continue your frightening journey. No time to rest. You slowly made your way through the maze of the small building, examining each room before entering. You didn’t dare to look back. You knew full well of what was good for you. Another note was displayed on the wall in front of you as you entered the next room, hanging there as plain as day. Perfect. Your third one out of eight. Almost halfway to finishing this dare that your friends had sent you on. Of course, you had already ruled out the possibility of your friends playing a joke on you when you had encountered him. He had no face. He was tall. Lanky. Your friends weren’t creative enough to pull off something so terrifying.
You grabbed the note and made the biggest mistake that you had been trying to avoid: you turned around. And sure enough, he was standing there. Right in front of you. Tentacles as black as night protruding from his back. You dropped the notes. You wanted to scream, but no sound escaped your lips. You wanted to cry, but no tears ran out of your eyes. You could only simply stare in horror, staring at the faceless creature as he closed in on you.
He’ll be waiting for another victim to fall into his deadly game.
